Hi there ladies , ok so My period is just over 3 weeks late going by a 28 day cycle but due to pcos my cycles are very irregular. On average about 34 days. This is the latest I have ever been, couple months ago I was just over 2 weeks late. I did a pregnancy test on Wednesday (2 days ago) thought I could see a very faint line but just took it as a negative. Since then i have been feeling very hormonal , decided to take another one today and there is defiantly a faint line ! The tests are clear and simple . I’ve taken a strip one and a stick one and very confused as they are both the same sensitivity (20miu) but the stick one is a lot clearer than the strip . Any experiences with these please?
Haven’t posted the test strip one as it’s so light it’s so hard to see but the test stick ones are a lot clearer . ??

First pic is 2 days ago
Second pic is today
@zippityzip would you say that’s the darkest line I’ve got?
Yeah weirdly I do think it is.

What about a private scan? Just explain the situation to them and say you need to know for sure.

Sorry to be harsh OP but you're not pregnant, you haven't had a single test which has been properly positive, just whispers of lines which could easily be evaps since most of them you've taken out of the case, or indents. Don't waste NHS resources by asking for a blood test. If you are pregnant you won't need to squint, it will be clear as day.

clickychicky · 05/08/2021 08:38

I would speak to your doctor and get their advice if you can.

clickychicky · 05/08/2021 08:38

Especially as it's been 8 weeks since a period.

Well some people don’t get a positive test when pregnant (my auntie didn’t) so i feel like I’m not wasting their time. My stomach is super bloated which is always my biggest sign of pregnancy , I already have 2 children. I have an appointment on the 16th so will go from there. Thanks for your Comment though .

Op get a blood test if it helps you.

Jeez.

clickychicky · 05/08/2021 08:55

Ah I see dr has sent you for blood test. That's good, if you aren't pregnant then I'd push to try and find out if there's something wrong if 8 months isn't usual. Have you had a covid jab recently? That has been playing havoc on some people's periods.

clickychicky · 05/08/2021 08:55

8 weeks sorry!

Mammaaof · 05/08/2021 10:24

I'm really sorry but I really don't think your pregnant you seemed to have got obsessed. After the bloods I think just take a step back, relax and hopefully it will happen for you.

backtoworkigooo · 05/08/2021 21:12

Have you had your covid vaccine? I've had 2 friends miss a period when they had theirs

Mammaaof · 05/08/2021 23:26

Yes I missed my period after my first vaccine, was ok after my second tho x

@ttckelly how stressful for you not knowing one way or another for this long. I definitely see faint lines on your tests. Have you tried a variety of test brands? I read post yesterday and the lady didn't get a positive on a first response but did on a digital, even though a digital is technically far less sensible. (maybe see what one of those for a black and while answer). That wasn't the first post I had read about women unusually not getting positives on first responses!

LondonladyTTC · 08/08/2021 08:34

@Lauren94laffertyx definitely positive, congrats.

feb2022 · 08/08/2021 10:49

Hi ladies does anyone think they have any idea if this is positive or an evaporation line only the cheap tests so not to sure

Positive ?
GSD2024 · 02/04/2024 21:54

@ThatTealFox i can definitely see a line on both. Re-test in the morning, try using a different brand if you can xx

ThatTealFox · 02/04/2024 21:57

Do you think that would be a positive still going to get another test due my period yesterday that’s why I tested.
