@kiwi17 fingers crossed this is your month, sounds like you need to get another ride in if you can then! Hope you enjoy your holiday, hopefully a chance to relax.

@Bundaberg84 welcome and sorry to hear about your losses. A loss at any stage Is heart breaking. Also have to agree the SMEP is exhausting!!!

Bundaberg84 · 19/08/2021 09:33

@EmiGoiko and @Babyghirl I know! But it seemed to have done the trick last time, so I might give it another go.

Babyghirl · 19/08/2021 09:49
This song brought a tear to my eyes better half sent me it yesterday and said its my song. 💚
Babyghirl · 19/08/2021 10:06

@Bundaberg84
Anything is worth a try, I just take the relax approach and don't stress out.

PeanuttyButter · 19/08/2021 12:38

Hope everyone is having a good day so far.
Pre AF spotting has starting with the usual cramping so looks like I'm out this month. Least I can have a glass of something at the weekend

H0peing · 19/08/2021 15:11

@Babyghirl that is soooo sweet of him!Smile xxxxx

H0peing · 19/08/2021 15:16

@PeanuttyButter I hope you're not out for this month! Xx

Miscarriage39 · 19/08/2021 20:32

Hi, I've not been on here in a while. We went away for a week and I've been feeling pretty overwhelmed since coming back.

Welcome to all the newbies, although I am sorry you find yourselves here. I hope the fabulous support on here helps you all through this horrible spell.

Fingers crossed you're not out PeanuttyButter.

kiwi17 · 19/08/2021 21:09

Oh no @Miscarriage39 why so overwhelmed? Probably ovulation day today but turns out we've now done it 6 days in a row so tonight was hard work right when it mattered 😂

Babyghirl · 19/08/2021 22:50

@miscarriage39
Awwwww so good to hear from you, big hugs.

PeanuttyButter · 20/08/2021 07:09

@miscarriage39 it's often hard to jump back in once a certain times gone by isn't it. Don't feel overwhelmed we are all in the same boat so to speak. X

Equimum · 20/08/2021 07:21

Fingers crossed it was worth the effort kiwi17.

Thanks PeanuttyButter.

I'm not really sure why the overwhelm. I think there are lots of decisions to make here, and we came straight back from holiday into a really busy week of intensive swimming for the boys and grandparents visiting. We are also away again this weekend.

I've just spoken to my doctor again who now has the letter from the gynaecologist. She said that in the letter from the gynaecologist it states to take 400mg pessaries twice per day from CD15, which was yesterday and just so happens to be when I had a peak smiley face on my Clearblue pink ovulation kit. I'm now a bit confused because the gynaecologist told me to take the pessaries after my peak smiley face this month because my last bleed was a miscarriage and I read online that it's usually 2-4 days after ovulation to take pessaries.

Has anyone else been prescribed progesterone pessaries after ovulation? Just wondering if anyone else knows how many days after my peak day I should take them. I'm a bit concerned about taking the pessary too early and making things worse as I know that when I was on the progesterone only pill in the past it stopped me from getting pregnant! X

Babyghirl · 20/08/2021 09:26

@HOpeing
Maybe phone your doc again this morning and c what they say I have heard of people taking it from cd21 aswell 💚

Annny27 · 20/08/2021 10:09

@h0peing i took it 3 days after when I was SURE I had ovulated e.g. cm changed, slightly sore boobs etc

@babyghirl any sign of AF?

@kiwi17 I think I am about cd13....or 14 haha. Not checked the apps 😂

Sorry I'm no help @H0peing should probably know more about this kind of stuff than I do to be honest.

H0peing · 20/08/2021 10:55

@Babyghirl I had a telephone consultation with my doctor and when I asked her about it she just said to follow the advice from the gynaecologist's letter, which is to take it from CD15 each month, but that isn't what she told me on the phone. On the phone she said to take it after my the peak smiley face day because I told her that I was using Clearblue ovulation kits. I usually get that around CD14/15 but obviously that could change in different months so it makes sense to me to take it after I think I've ovulated rather than just going by my CD.

@Annny27 thank-you! I've just checked Dr Google lol and found a random post on an old forum from someone who was told by her doctor to take it two days after ovulation and it worked for her so I am definitely not planning to take it today (CD16). I think it's too soon because I only got the peak day yesterday. I'll probably start taking the progesterone pessaries tomorrow. Xx

H0peing · 20/08/2021 11:13

@kiwi17 6 days in a row! You've definitely been busy! There should be a lot of sperm stored up ready and waiting for the egg(s) even if you have no more energy left to DTD again this cycle.

We've just about managed every other day this week & DTD peak day yesterday and just had a quickie on the sofa whilst DH is WFH lol. I'm hoping we've got enough sperm ready and waiting now in case we don't fit any more tries in this cycle. X

H0peing · 20/08/2021 11:16

@PeanuttyButter no problem. We're all on a bit of a learning journey here. I hope you're OK xxxx

Babyghirl · 20/08/2021 11:16

@HOpeing
I would get on to your gyno herself phone leave word c if they phone you bck.

H0peing · 20/08/2021 11:23

@Babyghirl unfortunately I don't have any way to contact her. I was supposed to receive the same letter as my GP but I haven't received it yet via snail mail lol. I'm guessing that the letter would have her contact details on it so hopefully I'll have her details in future. X

H0peing · 20/08/2021 11:57

I think I need to move away from Dr Google. I have now read more stories to say that progesterone pessaries can make it harder to get pregnant and are sometimes prescribed if a doctor thinks you are hyperfertile, making your body more selective about what implants so that it's more likely to be a healthy pregnancy but can end up taking a lot longer to get pregnant! Not sure how true any of this is but there's also people taking it at different times - after ovulation, CD21 or at BFP. Bit more confused about doing what's right for me now. I usually ovulate before CD21 so maybe it's a safer option to take it then...but maybe I need it sooner because my body doesn't produce enough progesterone. I asked DH when he thinks I should take it and he bluntly told me that he has absolutely no idea lol. I think I'll have to take a best guess this month and if it doesn't work then hopefully I'll get clearer instructions for my next cycle. Xx

Babyghirl · 20/08/2021 12:25

@HOpeing
Just phone your hospital switch board tell them to put you through to your gyno secretory if that spelt right lol.

H0peing · 20/08/2021 13:55

@babyghirl thanks for that idea not sure why I didn't think of that! I've now tried calling them several times but no answer so far. Will continue calling them this afternoon. X

Babyghirl · 20/08/2021 17:25

@HOpeing
Hopefully you have been sorted by nw x
