Welcome back to the bus where anything goes, hop aboard, tell us about you & we’ll be here for you (there’s a song in there somewhere!).

This bus has a growing bunch of gorgeous black and white springy pups on board, tortoises & 2 feisty little kittens so bring your pets and pictures are obligatory 🤗.

We’ve got TTC happening in many different forms, shagging conventionally, unconventionally, with the help of scientific intervention, IUI/ICSI/Clomid/IVF & even just watching from the top of the bus 👀. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been trying for days, weeks, months or like some of us we’ve been around each other for so long we can’t bear to leave, nothing is TMI and there’s never a silly question...

Hell we KNOW TTC is tough, lots of us have had heart ache & are chasing 🌈so we are there for each other, as well as trying to have laughs along the way 🥰☺️

Oh my god I'm so glad it's Friday. DH had parents eve last night as I said, we had dinner, I was in bed at 10pm and he was up till gone midnight marking books. I got up at nearly 1 to go to the loo and realised the downstairs light was still on - he'd fell asleep on the sofa! He came up to bed then was up at 5am to finish off so I was then tossing and turning because I was STARVING. However he says he's got all his work done now, so we can enjoy the whole weekend which is a total rarity. Oh to be married to a teacher 🤔🤣

Haha @bez91 I think that's a possibility for next cycle, let's face it, at this point anything goes!!

How's your head today after the wine @Franklydear? I'm still quite worried about hangover causing a migraine so not really drinking, feels like another myth busted, that drinking whilst TTC prevents you from getting pregnant! And @Dollybird89 what about yours?!

@Vil10 that does indeed suck, karma should step in and deal with people like that. I mean, it will eventually catch up on him!

@DKDK123 yes, we have a plan meeting every half term, they usually last an hour and a half, I take notes because sometimes I get the minutes weeks later, plus I find that people tell me less bullshit if they see me writing it down, obviously doesn’t apply to the decent teachers but not everybody is, I get email communication regularly but that could be better, used to get end of week meetings, but sometimes forced by me sitting in reception and refusing to badge, nowadays my senco has learned that there is no getting rid of me so I get quick updates
With the jab,I am feeling much better that the last time, just a bit tired today, both times I had the jab post ovulation so i didn’t noticed any changes in cycles, obviously shitting myself at the could you be pregnant question

@Somatronic 52 weeks?!?! That's ridiculous! I'd complain myself. So frustrating for you :(

@larrythelizard I did go to bed rather early and not feeling to well, so gave the wine a pass, but might do today, feel much better and finding wonderful news on the middle of the night made my day.... I don’t believe for a second that drinking will have any effect on ttc at all, even till 6 weeks pregnant when the placenta takes over I believe it to be okish, but saying that I am not much of a drinker

CD10 today, starting my FW with a bang (ha!) at 6am this morning. I'm already fantasising about a February due date...

@justanothercyster he is just unorganised bless him. He has a very full timetable as he teaches both science and engineering and at the moment it's all about marking, mock exams etc ready to do these government grades. He has spells like these from time to time then gets on top of it and he's fine. We're both just tired out at the moment, him with work and me with bub! Today I'm considering a cheeky nap on the job.... Shhhh! 😏

@Juno231 and @larrythelizard I have the maddest name ever. It's Irish and so is my surname so I generally have to explain it, spell it several times etc wherever I go. The guy on the phone told me he googled it before he rang me and he was really proud of himself that he pronounced it properly, bless him.

This is what happens when mothers choose names based on what will most irritate their mothers in law. My granny wanted me to be named after her and was putting pressure on my parents. My aunt and uncle had already changed their child's name to please her (original choice was not Irish and therefore unacceptable) so my parents went out and found the maddest name they could and here we are.

If at first you don’t succeed, try and try and try again, I downloaded the nhs app, it said my surgery didn’t allow me access to my records, we went from verifying info to user error, past incorrect settings, after about 10 calls, well, they change some settings and I now have access, always polite so they couldn’t tell me to stop calling, they did ask a few times why did I want access to my records, I never answer anything other than I do

Ooh I've had a text from the surgery and they've ordered me a blood test!! They want it done day 1-5, what does the bus think it's for?!

I've just made the bad decision to go to Greg's when hungover and hungry... Came back with half the shop!!!!

@larrythelizard that'll be for fsh and lh levels. Known as day 3s, but can be done days 2-5. Good luck!

I've start listening to an audio book A Bump in the Road by Elle Wright about someone with fertility struggles after a loss of their first child. I'm only on C5 but I'm really enjoying it ....enjoying is a strange word to use in the context but you get what I mean. The author would fit in perfectly on our group, I loved her phrase of fertility fuckery to describe ttc, fertility fuckery just rolls off the tongue nicely and sums it up nicely its my new go to phrase 😂 and she was saying about the phrase it takes a village to raise a baby should also be used for it takes a village to conceive one when you've got fertility struggles. It made me think of this wee village all pulling each other through all the ups and downs 🥰

Oh I like it @DKDK123 - I have some suggestions from the boss for the title of the next bus but fertility fuckery is another good one (can we swear on thread titles?!)

@larrythelizard just put a * where the u in fuck would be and you should get away with it! 😉 I'm glad you've not had to wait an age for tests! I found the initial ones at the gp quite quick. It was waiting to be referred that took a while for me!
