Welcome back to the bus where anything goes, hop aboard, tell us about you & we’ll be here for you (there’s a song in there somewhere!).

This bus has a growing bunch of gorgeous black and white springy pups on board, tortoises & 2 feisty little kittens so bring your pets and pictures are obligatory 🤗.

We’ve got TTC happening in many different forms, shagging conventionally, unconventionally, with the help of scientific intervention, IUI/ICSI/Clomid/IVF & even just watching from the top of the bus 👀. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been trying for days, weeks, months or like some of us we’ve been around each other for so long we can’t bear to leave, nothing is TMI and there’s never a silly question...

Hell we KNOW TTC is tough, lots of us have had heart ache & are chasing 🌈so we are there for each other, as well as trying to have laughs along the way 🥰☺️

Oh and we like an embarrassing story to get your ticket for entry please!

And if you see mention of my blog then blame these guys they made me do it...#shamelessplug

minstermusings.co.uk for the blog that’s where the full stuff happens
& minstermusings on insta - some of our ladies have made special anonymous accounts so we can link up via me 🥰
If you want to sign up & get updates please do, please note your username if you comment shows up to others so maybe make it anonymous I won’t be offended 😂🤣(unless you are mean)

Thanks for the info @blackcurrantqueen, I'm up in Scotland but can look into what's on offer up here.

Glad to hear all went well today @Crazydoglady123 exciting times 😊

I've never heard of fat frog @2alreadywantanother but that looks like a lovely beer garden summer day drink 🍸

@DOB78 I usually have about 3-4days of ewcm then it usually dries up about 1-2 days before my peak (which is rather annoying at you'd think it should get more at that time but I suppose they do say its best to have swimmers in there before the egg is released so maybe my body knows best .....or maybe it doesn't and that's why I'm still here 😂🤷‍♀️). So I'd keep DTD for a few days just to keep you covered just incase.

@Franklydear lovely chop and for such a good cause 🥰

My mum got taken into hospital today with an angina attack which was a bit scary (her dad died of one in his early 50s so it's always a wake up call when she gets one). Luckily she's out of hospital now and all OK, turns out her emergency spray was out of date thats why it didn't work 🤦‍♀️ Don't know who gives me more stress my son, husband or mum! 😂
On a good note tho I signed up to do the virtual route 66 walk today. I did the lands end to John o groats one at the start of the first lockdown and it really helped to keep me focused on something. I decided I need something else to get me thru this ttc rollercoaster and I've always wanted to do route 66 IRL so it seems like the perfect challenge. Hoping to complete it in 66weeks which works out around 5 miles every day so have my work cut out but it gives me a focus for the next year and I'm thinking of doing it to help raise money for a tree of tranquility that they're trying to raise for our town (if you haven't heard of them they're beautiful metal tree sculptures where parents who have had a m/c or lost a child can get a leaf added to the tree and gives them a nice quiet place to go and reflect.) I don't want a leaf for myself but I do think it'll help so many people who are grieving alone and want to use the fundraising to raise awareness of m/c and fertility struggles so (not today, I'm not ready yet but I have 66 weeks to find the right time) I'm going to put a fundraising link on my FB page and share my ttc journey to all my friends and family and hope that being open about it helps someone else that I might not know is battling alone or has done in the past. Feels very scary the thought of putting it out there but I hope it's a tiny step in breaking down the barriers of secrecy that fertility struggles can create. Remind me I said this when I'm on week 65 of my challenge and still haven't been brave enough to tell anyone yet 😂

InkyPaper · 08/05/2021 21:18

@Crazydoglady123 it was me with the high prolactin, that's interesting! The doctor didn't tell me I needed to avoid anything before the blood test, but we hadn't DTD in the 24 hours preceding it, so that won't be the cause of mine, unfortunately.

@Franklydear your hair looks lovely!

InkyPaper · 08/05/2021 21:20

@DKDK123 your poor mum! Glad she's doing OK now. Good on ya for signing up for the challenge!!

Katao · 08/05/2021 22:32

Well done @Franklydear! Great cause and your new cut looks fab. Also I'm with @Minster2012, not how i pictured you. Would have said thick, straight, dark hair!

@DKDK123 sorry your mum gave you a sc. Hope you are ok. Well done on the walking plan. Sounds great and like a cool way to support a good cause and open up about fertility struggles x

Katao · 08/05/2021 22:33

Gave you a scare

@DKDK123 @Minster2012 another ⭕ on OPK last night still a little ewcm so I'm none the wiser. Either I've missed it, I'm having an anovulatory cycle, or it's not been 🤷‍♀️

DOB78 · 09/05/2021 07:17

@Franklydear your hair looks amazing!!

DOB78 · 09/05/2021 07:21

DKDK123 sorry to hear your Mum's been frightening you and what a fantastic thing to do, good luck with the walk and such a brilliant idea

Franklydear · 09/05/2021 07:26

Morning all
Thank you for the hair comments, I am very pleased with it, remaining of hair on its way to the post box
Thank you as well for ds celebrations support, he had a grand afternoon, playing knights over castle walls with his bestie, will have another more complete castle today with bestie and his boy today too
@DOB78 I always thought when the ewcm is gone the event is over, after all that’s what is for, right?... I know nothing....

Justanothercyster · 09/05/2021 07:42

Ooooh @Franklydear your hair looks amazing! Nice to have a change sometimes. Btw I will measure Doug once I can dig out measuring tape from one of many boxes still unpacked 🙈

@DKDK123 oh no! Glad your mum is ok and that's a lovely thing to do!

Minster2012 · 09/05/2021 07:44

Early night for me last night, @DKDK123 gosh I hope your mum is ok, and love the idea of the walking & opening up, be brave!

@Franklydear I'm with @Katao was picturing long flowing dark Spanish hair!

@DOB78 ahhhh gawd no idea what a fuckboy

@Minster2012 @Katao but I am from the north west, I am Celtic

DOB78 · 09/05/2021 07:57

@Franklydear it sounds like you've had a really nice week. I thought the same as you. Maybe I'm out already, why oh why do I do this to myself every month!!
@Minster2012 I'm lost with all this the more I know the harder it seems to be

larrythelizard · 09/05/2021 07:57

Oh @Ltay2 your poor little baba, hope his op went well and he's on the mend now

Wow @Franklydear that is quite a haircut!!

That's a serious challenge @DKDK123, and an amazing idea for fundraising

No news here, about to try a CB OPK and see if I've got a static or not, had 11 days of the smirky flashing face so far! Rain seems to have finally stopped which is good as we're off out for a walk with friends

Franklydear · 09/05/2021 07:58

@Justanothercyster I’ll have so much fun with Doug, call me Edna

DKDK123 · 09/05/2021 08:36

@DOB78 if you've still got ewcm I'd assume you've not ovulated yet. Remember if you don't ovulate first time quite often your body will have another shot at it a few days later so don't rule yourself out yet just keep shagging away! I know its a pain to keep on top of but that's where temping really helps as it can tell you if you have or haven't ovulated.

@larrythelizard 'smirking flashing smiley' made me chuckle, an accurate description when it goes on too long 😂

Vil10 · 09/05/2021 08:42

@notyetamumbuttrying I definitely think you'll get to Santorini! My parents visit Crete 3 times a house house searching so are in regular contact with the locals and they said they're ready for tourists and cases are low and are expecting to be on the green list come the 7th June!! Ermm I think we're going to change our holiday to somewhere in Greece and if for any reason that doesn't go green then we'll change again to end of the summer when we know we'll be okay! It's OH's birthday the 28th June so we wanted to be away for thst really!

@Kirky658 Hmm yes that makes sense! We think we're going to change our holiday to a cheaper one to Greece in hope they go green, and if they don't then we'll change it again, I can't see Tui having a problem with us doing that, but we're going to ring next week just to check x

@bez91 nope not insured!! We couldn't take insurance out because we booked in the middle of a pandemic🙄 so all insurance packages were extortionate!! We'll just have to change our holiday😒

@Crazydoglady123 amazing!!

@DKDK123 glad your mums feeling better and out of hospital now!! And good on you for challenge!!

@Franklydear hair looks lovely!! But I expected you to be really dark brown for some reason😂

We went out for a lovely meal for my dad's birthday last night, I didn't drink much because I have a cold so feel so shit!! Going to my friends baby shower today too, so that should be nice! Hope everyone has a nice Sunday❤️

Minster2012 · 09/05/2021 08:45

@Vil10 Greece is lovely, I'd love to go back to Greece again, and pleased you had a good meal, roll on baby shower!

@DOB78 hmmm honestly no idea, maybe have to give up tracking fir this cycle?

@Franklydear ah yes I remember!

So I ended up with sticky tits last night after the sex ban here so I let DH free on my boobs, was so frustrating not to be able to get much involved but he's happy!

Second day of a raging headache here today, worsened overnight & ive got little spots on my face. Is this the start of symptoms?? Maybe my body is now 6 weeks, who knows, the questioning doesn't stop when pregnant!

@Minster2012 I literally go to Greece twice a year and have since I was about 5, my friends don't know how I don't get bored! It's lovely isn't it!! Just can't beat the people and the food! My parents have been looking for a house over there for a while, but with covid obviously put a stop to it, I'm suppose to be going on the 19th July with my mum and sister too, we've been going every year to the same village just us 3 for about 4 years now! I'm looking forward to the baby shower but it's the friend who this will be a 3rd and went on about how fertile she is, like come on share it out a bit😂 how're you getting on?? Also yasss to sticky tits, still a bit of fun when you can't have too much fun🍆

Minster2012 · 09/05/2021 09:14

@Vil10 ahhh see I get you Cos my parents have had a little flat in north Majorca for about 12 years & we love it, flights are cheap, you can go for a long weekend or even a week with very little stuff & just get there & relax straight away Cos you don't have to "find stuff", we are hoping to go there this year as our trip away for ease if still pregnant, we haven't been with DS since he was 11weeks old so he'd love it, a pool then seaside near by! Mum and dad desperate to go.

I'm ok thanks, I felt more optimistic yesterday and now, after DHs and my chat I've gone for day at a time, until weds then we'll face what we need to. DH admitted that last year he shit off from the MMC & didn't understand what was going on & the effect emotionally was as he was struggling with the business during first bit of Covid he's fully involved this time so that's good.

notyetamumbuttrying · 09/05/2021 09:16

@DKDK123 so sorry to hear about your mum, I hope she's ok
@Franklydear loving the new haircut and so good you donated what came off!
@paintfairy how you feeling today? It's hard to keep motivated with it isn't it. It's emotional as well as physical and mental isn't it.
@Vil10 good to hear! Good idea, here's hoping Greece is a go then!
Glad you're having a nice weekend! Hope you feel better soon.
@Minster2012 eek, I hope you managed to have some fun even though the 🍆 couldn't go in! Is the next scan on weds then? So pleased Dh is fully involved this time round.

I went out last night to dinner outside 🥶really hate eating in my coat but needs must for sibling bday celebrations. Off to my folks today for more celebrations, but at least this time the table is booked in the afternoon so we shouldn't be so cold with our alfresco dining!

Crazydoglady123 · 09/05/2021 09:25

@InkyPaper ah didn't know if it could have been the answer. Hope you're okay.

Ahhhh all this holiday talk makes me want to go away! I loooove Majorca and Greece! My favourite Greek island is Zakinthos! The turtles may have something to do with it 🐢 We always hire a boat and go out exploring and snorkelling

pennysays · 09/05/2021 09:25

Hi All,

Bus riders with experience of anovulatory cycles... I'm 16 dp (potential) ovulation. No sign of my period or pregnancy. I'm assuming I didn't ovulate because although I had a very strong LH peak I had very low bbt afterwards. Questions:

  1. When should I expect my period/bleed if at all?

  2. Should I still be OPK testing?

  3. Do I have to start using a new clearblue wand?

CHEERS MDEARS

@Franklydear love it. I'm desperate for a bob!

@Minster2012 you shall henceforth be known as jizztits

@Crazydoglady123 I'm so delighted for you.

@Sausage1990 you are on my mind. How are you doing today?

Crazydoglady123 · 09/05/2021 09:29

Thanks @pennysays. I didn't ovulate without medication but my cycles were always around 26-35 days. I used to get an LH surge too just to get my hopes up but they were always false. The easiest way to confirm if you can afford to is if you get a scan around ovulation. They'll be able to see if you have any dominant follicles looking to ovulate or a corpus luteum if you already have ovulated. My scan lady charges £80
