Hi all hope it’s okay to joinSmile
I had a mc this time last year and finally built up the courage to start ttc again in January this year. Have always had slightly irregular cycles but currently on CD4 and trying to stay really positive for this month. Sending you all positivity!❤️

Hey everyone, just looking for some advice on what prenatal vitamins everyone takes. Im currently taking seven seas trying to conceive but I was just wondering if I should be taking anything else? I've read taking Omega 3 capsules might help fertility and quality of the egg, does anyone else take Omega 3 supplements? I do eat Salmon and nuts every week so I might be getting enough already x

Oh good luck, time has never gone as slow as it does in the TWW! Fingers crossed for you Star @carlsi6

Hey...can I join please? Smile

I'm 36 (for another 3 weeks!) and we're finally starting to TTC #2 this month (once AF shows up). I have a 2 year old DS who took 11 cycles to conceive, probably due to Endometriosis as I've recently been diagnosed. I also have low AMH but my FSH/LH are both fine and good for my age. I'm not expecting it to happen quickly so I may be around for a while

I'm going to use OPKs and chart my BBT again as I found it really helpful last time

@ashlove17 sorry to hear about your mc last year! Onwards and upwards 💕

@Quinn26 I started taking coQ10 this month on recommendation from a friend who had been trying for 3 years for her 2nd then fell pregnant 2 months after starting them..I'm liking those odds! Taking those on top of just regular folic acid

Quinn26 · 04/05/2021 10:25

Thanks @Twinkles18 I have been reading about that too actually. What does are you taking? Those do sound like good odds! Let us know how you get on with them. I am only on cycle 3 now so trying not too stress too much as I know it can take on average 6-12 months, im just impatient haha!! X

@Quinn26 I'm the same. I feel like we're all so tough on ourselves.

I was literally on the pill for 14 years. I'm 29, and thought it would happen so quickly. Here we are 4 cycles later how wrong was I!

They are very interesting odds though, if we don't conceive this month I think I'll get some xx

@carlsi6 I know i feel I question everything im doing now haha! I'm 33 so feel like time is getting on! With my last pregnancy I conceived within 5 months and we weren't 'trying' just not preventing unfortunately it ended in MC. I guess I just want it to happen quickly!

I think ill see how this month, maybe just try see what happens game! X

Hey everyone, jumping on the may bus!
Ive been a bit quiet since march as I needed a break from thinking about everything!

Had my coil removed start of the year, had no ovulation symptoms since having it removed. When I would get symptoms like clockwork every month prior to removal.
Had first period few days after coil removed. Then I had a 65 day cycle! I'm now on CD36, I started having an intense pain on my left side yesterday and my first thought was that is exactly the pain I would get when having ovulation cysts while on the coil so fingers and toes crossed that my ovulation is working and sorting itself out!

I did chat with my Dr about things and she wasn't really interested. Just said that she doesn't think you can tell at all when you're ovulating and to come back to her if I'm not pregnant by the end of the year. But on a side note to that, I had to get weighed as they needed a record of my BMI for a sleep study referral 😭😭😭😭😭 I was WAY happier not knowing I've gained 50lbs since June, so I guess that could be fucking with my ovulation and cycles as well. Did the dirty last night and will get some more in this week incase I am ovulating/about to ovulate 😂😂😂 but want to focus on getting myself fitter and healthier so I can be my best self for growing a tiny human!

Anyway, thanks for reading my ramble! It's nice to have an anonymous outlet where I can rant and be frustrated etc knowing that I'm not the only one!
Now for the long tww or maybe even 3ww (cause who knows if I'm even ovulating) 🤞🤞
I have up with opk's cause I was testing twice a day and just getting all the negatives and it was kinda depressing!

Twinkles18 · 04/05/2021 13:35

@Quinn26 I'm taking 600mg dose so 2 tablets but if AF comes this month I might up it to 900mg to be safe!
I'm only cycle 2 after our miscarriage and that pregnancy was the first time we tried but im the same as you, when I want something I want it yesterday 😂😂 anything worth having is worth waiting for...hopefully happens for us bothsooner rather than later 💕

So I got a really high reading on OPK on Sunday which only would have been CD11 for me which is quite early to ovulate as I'm normally 13/14. I wouldn't say it was peak but deffo had a change in CM.

Thought I'd just ovulated early, as last night I did one and it was negative barely a line even there. Today however woke up, loads of EWCM, slightly sore boobs & sore throat?! And took a OPK (see attached) again very high I wouldn't say it's peak but it's nearly there.

Does this mean I possibly didn't ovulate the other day and it's probably today / tomorrow. Is it possible to have 2 surges? Xx

Is a sore throat a sign of ovulation? Because along with possible ovulation cyst pain I had a really sore throat yesterday that had vanished overnight!

I'm not sure, just thought it was really strange. I've just googled it and a lot of people are saying they get them same!! X

@carlsi6 well you learn something new every day! I was worried I was getting sick but thankfully not.
The pain in my side is still pretty intense today though, I'm hoping it is ovulation cysts as it's the first sign of ovulation I've had in months!

Thanks for starting the thread! I’m trying the cheapo opks this time round for the next 3 weeks and hoping to get a result as I have no idea when ovulation will be.

Hi all

Sorry for cross posting, I posted on another May TTC thread but not sure which one is the active one so thought I’d try both.

Mind if I join the bus? Cycle 1 of TTC #2 but I think I’m out this cycle. AF due Thursday.

DD1 arrived in cycle 1 so was feeling hopeful for a quick one but I think it’s a no this time.

I’m on CD26 and have been having lots of symptoms (sore boobs) and was certain I was pregnant, had a BFN Sunday, then Monday it was a BFN but when I came back an hour later (yes of course I fished it out of the bin) there was a clear blue line. Hours later an evap line appeared BESIDE the blue line so I’m guessing the original line, although outside the window, was legit?

So I was hopeful and excited to POAS (“6 days early” ClearBlue) this morning but it was a big fat BFN. Even after an hour. Not even the faintest. Caved in and bought a FRER in my work lunch break and POASed in the disabled loo at work and it was a resounding no. So must have been a false positive or cp? I don’t really understand how a cp manifests in terms of tests.

I’m developing a serious POAS addiction, I just want to pee on everything I see. Even my COVID lateral flow tests are triggering to me lol!!!! I’ve spent too much on clear blue lol.

It’s been a rubbish couple of years with lots of bad news in the wider family, work has been tough, and I’d really love something squishy to look forward to. I know it’s not the best reason to have another but I do love being a mummy do DD1 (most of the time) so it’s not like I don’t know what I’m in for Wink

I’ve been reading lots of posts around ovulation tests, are they a good idea? I have no idea when I ovulate and it would be handy to kn it when to DTD because it’s a lot of effort GrinWink

Hoping for baby dust for everyone xxx

@carlsi6 I think - and don't quote me on this ha - that you can have attempted ovulation and if that doesn't happen for whatever reason, ovulation will be attempted again. Something to do with the follicles not rupturing and releasing the egg

Sam8582 · 04/05/2021 16:37

Hi @Fiep welcome, you're not out until AF shows so fingers crossed! Evaps are just the worse, my first cycle I did the same, bin dived and saw a blue line - I've since read clear blue are notorious for it :/ I don't have any experience of cp's but I would imagine they would take a little longer for the line to disappear? Hopefully it's just still a bit too early, even for the frer to pick up!!

In terms of opks, I've not been trying ages (3 cycles) but I've loved having that control over something and knowing I was in line (mostly) with what my app was telling me, so I love them (also helps the poas addiction 😂) I use the clear blue ones and internet ones for straight after af ends

Hi all! New Mumsnetter here, it's my first cycle TTC #1 so need all the support I can get...

Currently in the dreaded TWW, possibly 6DPO (but I have quite an unpredictable cycle and not yet using OPKs so can't be sure exactly). Best of luck to everyone here!

Hi @Sam8582, thank you for the validation!
Maybe when (if) AF arrives I’ll “treat” myself to the Clearblue ovulation tests.

Thanks for having me on the thread, I feel a little bit ashamed for being so preoccupied and know DH (or my boss!!!) would not approve! But it’s like once I decide to TTC I get obsessed - was the same when I had DD1. Does anyone else feel that way?

@Twinkles18 sorry to hear about your MC. Its hard isn't it having what you what then it just gets taking away so suddenly :( the supplements sound like a good shout, I've been having a read more about them this afternoon.

I'll see what happens this cycle and try not to stress too much ha! Currently just using OPKS mainly to make sure my cycle is back on track x
