Hello! First month TTC. Currently 1DPO, no symptoms as of yet, but already feeling stressed at the thought of not knowing if we were successful for two more weeks! Worried we didn't BD enough, we did every other day during the fertile window including day before O. Anyone got any advice or just want to join in the conversation to get us through the wait?

Feeling the same @K8Tee at 7 DPO! Haha! Any "symptoms"? I've been having super light cramping the last few days. I'm not sure what to pin that too.

K8Tee · 26/05/2021 13:32

That's a good sign for you fingers crossed!

Haha I feel like I have symptoms every month yet 5 months later here I am 🤣 I feel a bit crampy and under the weather but I've got a sore throat so probably just that playing tricks on me 🙈

Bundaberg84 · 26/05/2021 13:37

@K8Tee the only negative thing I heard in terms of TTC is that it might affect your cycle, as in your ovulation will be later than normal. But since you're already past ovulation I think you should be fine. But I'm no doctor, I would issue your concerns at the appointment.

dogmom0930 · 26/05/2021 13:38

I had the Johnson and Johnson before my previous cycle. Since it was after my chemical, I thought it was a good time for it because my cycle would be messed up anyway. I ended up ovulating a few days later and then proceeded as normal. I blame that change on the CP though. I also had a friend get 1 dose, then she found out she was pregnant and got the second dose and is progressing normally. She had been TTC for 18 months when this happened too.

I weighed the difference between possible fertility issues vs peace of mind. I chose peace of mind thinking that the stress of not being vaccinated could also stress me to the point of having trouble TTC.

dogmom0930 · 26/05/2021 13:39

Forgot to tag you @K8Tee 😊

K8Tee · 26/05/2021 13:45

Thanks @Bundaberg84, will definitely mention it when there as well.

@dogmom0930 you pretty much summed up my feeling about it right there. And also if we got it and got very poorly with it, would that be more of a risk. Neither are perfect scenarios but as long as we know what we're doing its all we can do. Ps really sorry sorry about your chemical I didnt even know they were a thing until joining mumsnet, crazy hoe common it is and how little it is spoken about X

Thanks for your advice girls x

Ps when will you be testing? Clearblue says I can test from Friday but I going to wait until Saturday fmu I think to make sure I have the best chance of seeing it if we have been successful.

taytay2020 · 26/05/2021 15:01

@K8Tee I have just booked my vaccine, deliberately aiming for what I think will be a few days into my next period. This is just for my own peace of mind though - I'd rather just be hoping for successful fertilisation & implantation over the next couple of weeks without the extra worry of vaccine side-effects. Then whether I get a bfp or not, I think I'll keep the appointment. I definitely don't want to get covid and I don't want the extra worry of not being vaccinated when I have to go to busy places for work.

dogmom0930 · 26/05/2021 16:01

I like your plan @taytay2020!

@K8Tee I plan to start testing Sunday unless things change either way. I'm curious how antsy I'll be by then haha!

JuniperAndTonic · 26/05/2021 17:38

Afternoon!

So I caved this morning and tested at 10DPO again! It was negative but it’s still early so trying to keep the hope alive! I’ll see what the next few days bring anyway, AF is due on Sunday.

Sorry I can’t really help with the Covid jab question @K8Tee as I had my first dose back in December and my second in February (I’m a nurse) so it was before I started TTC! I was concerned about it as I was thinking about TTC and the Pfizer had only just been approved and at the time the advice was to wait a few months before getting pregnant but in the end I felt the benefits of the vaccine out weighed the risks as I knew I could become seriously ill if I did catch Covid - I also have a medical condition which puts me in the vulnerable group and was shielding for a while due to some medication I was on. But I think it’s such a personal decision! I know the advice has changed now and they are saying even pregnant women can get it as the benefits outweigh the risks. I know I felt much happier and more comfortable once I was fully vaccinated and I’m glad I got it before pregnancy as I think that would have been a hard decision!

Aries491 · 26/05/2021 17:50

Hi everyone! How's everyone doing at the mo? I am still waiting for AF to finish (cd4) which shouldn't be long now. Bought some cb opks to try this cycle so looking forward to that and fingers crossed all goes to plan!

@k8Tee covid vaccine wise I had my 1st in March then 2nd not so long ago so we were ttc but for me the risk of getting covid with my asthma was greater than any vaccine worries. I had the AZ one and apart from some side effects on jab 1 all was good. Its all personal preference though I think:)

Bundaberg84 · 26/05/2021 18:02

@JuniperAndTonic just because I love that calculator: the stats for 10dpo are:
34% of pregnant women got a false negative result.

There you go :)

Genna85 · 26/05/2021 18:06

Hi. I am 5 days late for my period, 2 days ago had a faint bloody wipe after weeing. Next day off white jelly mucus then today thought I was coming in my period with a bloody wipe.. Not much.. Then nothing on the pad apart from very small brownish spotting. And then a very pinky blood jelly mucus later on. I've been having lots of pelvic, flank and lower abdominal pain. And today some vaginal twinges.

Genna85 · 26/05/2021 18:07

I can't add pics of the CM? X

Bundaberg84 · 26/05/2021 18:09

@Genna85 you can't post pictures if you're a new member, it takes 48h I think. Maybe you want to start a new thread anyways?

Oh thank you @Bundaberg84 - where did you find this?? There’s definitely still hope then! 🤞🏻

@Genna85 have you taken a pregnancy test if you’re late? Starting your own thread as Bundaberg suggested is a good idea - you will t get more relevant replies!

@JuniperAndTonic there you go: www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/dpo-chart.php?dpo=10

K8Tee · 27/05/2021 21:38

@JuniperAndTonic I caved too, also negative. There's still time for us. Think I'm 10dpo too so maybe we're in the 34% of false negatives lol.

Thanks for the jab advice, I've decided I'm going to have it regardless as like you say the pros massively outweigh the potential cons. Also, thank you for all of your hard work throughout this pandemic, I cant imagine how challenging it must have been in your line of work.

I'm holding out until Saturday afternoon now before jab time I think. If its still negative then I guess I'm out again. Fingers crossed for us x

JuniperAndTonic · 28/05/2021 06:25

Thank you for your kind words @K8Tee - it’s not an easy job but one I love so wouldn’t change it! Even after a pandemic lol.

I didn’t test this morning - totally forgot and flushed my FMU away 🤦🏼‍♀️ But may just wait for AF now if I can resist testing tomorrow as well haha!

Hope you’re all doing okay!

Bundaberg84 · 28/05/2021 08:30

@JuniperAndTonic good for you!
I stupidly tested yesterday evening, I'm so angry at myself. I didn't even use a sensitive one. Of course a BFP. I know there's still a small possibility that it was a false negative, but I don't feel confident anymore. I was really disappointed yesterday night. I just figured it would have been so perfect this month, I'd be around 12 weeks in the summer holidays when I see all family from other parts of Europe when we meet in France and I could tell them. But we all know the chances we have each month of getting pregnant, even if we do everything correctly :)

K8Tee · 28/05/2021 11:32

It's not over yet @Bundaberg84, there's still time. I'm annoyed at myself too for testing when I said I wouldn't. Got a bfn yesterday and double annoyed myself as went back to check the test after about an hour I'd say and there was a 2nd line but it's obv going to be an indent/ evap.. why do we torture ourselves like this lol 🙄 pic of evap. I took the test apart too so a hundred percent not valid but still slight hope even if it is fake hope lol 🤣🤣🤣

1DPO - Anyone want to join for the 2WW?
dogmom0930 · 28/05/2021 15:23

Hate those dang BFNs! Hopefully they turn into BFPs for you this weekend ❤️

9 DPO for me today. I have my fingers crossed implantation will happen today. Hoping to hold off testing until at least Sunday.

Lalala1985 · 28/05/2021 20:35

@K8Tee there's colour to it though, I thought evaps are just grey. Fingers crossed it turns into a BFP!

K8Tee · 28/05/2021 20:56

Fingers crossed for you @dogmom0930

@Lalala1985 yeah it has a slight pink tinge. Fingers crossed. X

JuniperAndTonic · 29/05/2021 10:52

BFN for me this morning and have my usual period headache so think AF will be arriving tomorrow right on time!!

Fingers crossed we see some more BFPs doin - I’m rooting for you all!!

Bundaberg84 · 29/05/2021 13:28

@JuniperAndTonic I'm out too. Started spotting and tested negative again. 2 days late, what a rollercoaster. Well, here's to June!
