Hi ladies, our March 2021 TTC Bus seems to be full up, would be a shame not to continue. So looking forward to sharing all our BFP's 🤗
I'm sorry if I forgot some people, totally unintentional. Quite a lot on the other thread.

@Lollipop25 oh really! Was that with a first response test to that didn't show for a week? I'm not hopeful but until af shows I can't help but wonder what is going on to my body lol x

Lollipop25 · 07/04/2021 12:24

No @amyannx clearblue digital for them all. I have no clue what's going on with mine this cycle either ..lol

amyannx · 07/04/2021 12:27

@Lollipop25 oh really! I just thought FRER would show mine by now but I suppose implantation could off happened today if af doesn't show, I still think it maybe af and it's just taking it's time today! Oh no what cycle day are you on? X

Lollipop25 · 07/04/2021 12:37

Hopefully it is for you🤞I'm CD 18 , cycles were 28/29 days prior to mc, 35 last cycle so opk testing from CD9 just because I haven't a clue🤣 no smiley yet and ran out of sticks today ( raging I wasn't prepared with more) so will get some tomorrow. I do have that lower one sided pain so hoping it's ov pain🤷🏼‍♀️and bit of a headache but I really haven't a clue.

Can I join? This is my second month trying, not sure what happened last month as don’t know if I ovulated and period was a week late (but no positive test results). So this month I bought opks but they aren’t conclusive- i think I ovulated Sunday but not sure. I hate not being sure about things!

amyannx · 07/04/2021 13:39

@Lollipop25 hopefully it's ovualtion pains, that's like me I have been using opk easy home sticks and they worked well for me so far x

Lollipop25 · 07/04/2021 13:42

Your more than welcome @timeisnotaline. Opks really aren't doing me any favours either 😂 maybe DTD every few days around when you think fertile week might up your chances🤷🏼‍♀️ it's really frustrating not knowing what's going on. Men have it so easy😆

@Janerobs more questions... when you do them in the evening do you limit how much your drink? I have seen advice not to drink for three hours before testing which seems... challenging. Evenings I can do, but water fasting I don't think so! Also what time do you do them?

My tests are rarely very dark so I'm up for changing things up.

Confused678866 · 07/04/2021 15:26

Hi ladies.. just looking for some advice/opinions.
This month, I haven't tracked ovulation with OPK's (wanted a month off after finding it a little stressful). My cycles have been known to differ (been off pill since September).

Cycle 1 - 24 days
Cycle 2 - 29 days
Cycle 3 - 22 days
Cycle 4 - 22 days
Cycle 5 - current cycle and I'm currently on CD23. I would have expected AF today if my last 2 cycles were anything to go by.

When would you take a pregnancy test? I haven't done any tests this cycle and I'm happy to wait but I just don't know if I'm technically late if AF doesn't come today? Because of my other cycles differing slightly.

I had some stomach cramps around 6 days ago (I thought they were early AF cramps but they stopped fairly quickly).
TMI - I've had lots of creamy CM up until yesterday, now there's not a lot at all.
Having as much as I had during that part of my cycle isn't exactly normal for me (I don't think).
Been feeling a little sicky on and off but I had this last month before AF too. Lots of backache on and off too.
I'm very 50/50 about it all at the moment but just wondering when people would test? I don't want to test too early as the BFN's kill me 😫

Thanks ladies xx

Lollipop25 · 07/04/2021 16:33

Hey @Confused678866 I've read with irregular cycles, should go with the average which I'd say would wait til CD 24 . If I was in your position, to save disappointment I'd maybe wait until my longest cycle . I can see how it's confusing 🙈

OP posts:
Confused678866 · 07/04/2021 16:44

@Lollipop25 Yes I've read this too, add up the last 3 cycles and divide by 3 to get an average.. and that does take me to a 24 day cycle! I think I'll wait a couple of days (well try to anyway 🙈) xx

Lollipop25 · 07/04/2021 16:48

Good luck😂 I'm shocking bad at waiting..lol

Confused678866 · 07/04/2021 16:56

@Lollipop25 Haha well I'm surprised I've lasted this long to be honest!! I think it's because I just don't really know what to think. 🙈

Sarie24 · 07/04/2021 17:42

Hey guys, jumping on the April 2021 TTC bus!! My OH and I have decided to start TTC for our first, we're very excited :)

Lollipop25 · 07/04/2021 17:50

Hi @Sarie24 it's a very exciting time. Best of luck to you🤗

OP posts:
Sarie24 · 07/04/2021 17:55

@Lollipop25 thank you! :) I'm a total newbie to all of this (first cycle, first baby) and to the forum so just trying to get caught up on all the acronyms as I'm clueless Grin

I'm 34 years old (35 in June) and a little concerned about my age and the fact I've gained lockdown weight but hoping for some good luck over the next few months Grin

I honestly never thought this time would come for me - I've been in so many bad relationships over the years I never felt like I'd meet the right person and I thought I was going to age out but met my OH 2 years ago and the rest is history :) We're both so excited!

Not sure if any others here over 30 have had it but the pressure from my family to "produce" has been extreme in recent years... lots of "you're going to be too old soon" and "we figured you just didn't want kids" from my parents making me feel like I'm already barren LOL

Nice to meet all of you!! Excited to start this journey with those of you also TTC :)

Janerobs · 07/04/2021 18:18

@pennysays I try to make them as stress free as possible, so I do them first thing in the morning and when I get home from work. I think the instructions say to do the 2nd wee of the day but I'm normally at work then and having to do an LH test at work would stress me out. I also don't restrict what I drink either.
However this is only my first month TCC, so ask me again in a few months and I'll probably be following all the rules 🤣 Xx

TigerDaisy · 07/04/2021 18:31

Wow I missed a few messages! Grin I hope everyone is doing well! @amyannx sorry to hear it sounds like a bfn for this month, babydust for next cycle! Smile

I’m 6dpo and driving myself mad already trying to symptom spot - I know anything at this point is probably just hormonal as it’s unlikely implantation would occur by now, but I’ve managed to convince myself that I don’t normally get these af-type (but much lighter!) cramps, lower back aches, and shooting pains in my breasts at this point in my cycle...I don’t know how I’ll hold out til the weekend with testing! @Sam8582 are you feeling the impatience yet yourself? Any symptom spotting?

And because I can resist asking, do my ‘symptoms’ sound like anything anyone’s gone on to a BFP from? Cramps feelings started yesterday afternoon and have been on and off since...

Janerobs · 07/04/2021 18:33

@Sarie24 I get the same pressure off my family too. I've just got off the phone to my mum (who doesn't know we're TCC) and she'd just told me my biological clock was ticking! Definitely was not what I needed to hear today. But I've been reading a really good book which talks a lot about pregnancy in your 30s and 40s, it's called Expecting Better. It basically gives you all the data behind some of the unnecessary statistics we here and provides you with information to make your own choices.

This is our first month TTC too! Do you know where you currently are in your cycle? Xx

TigerDaisy · 07/04/2021 18:39

@Sarie24 welcome! I’m a couple of years older than you and have had similar concerns over age, as well as the pressure from friends and family - I’ll be the last to have kids in my friendship group by a few years, and even my baby sister beat me to the punch with her two! I met my OH nearly two years ago too, after a series of bad relationships - it’s amazing when things start to fall into place isn’t it? Now we just need this last piece of the puzzle...the elusive BFP (big fat positive preg test)! Smile

That sounds like a brilliant book, I'll look it up now as it sounds like it might put my mind at ease a bit!

The "biological clock is ticking" line sounds very familiar... It's not really what anyone wants to hear is it?!

My dad is old fashioned and fairly sexist and has told me several times that "women are put on this earth to make babies" and that if I don't reproduce then "you'll never feel whole" and then promptly tells me I'm old... He does it a lot so I actively avoid the discussion coming up as it's stressful... I haven't told anyone were TTC as we didn't want the additional pressure so it's so nice to be able to chat openly here with others in the same boat :)

I'm currently just coming up to the end of my cycle, AF is due sometime in the next few days so I'll be starting cycle one of trying from around April 13th I think, if my past cycles are to be trusted :) do you know where your currently are in your cycle too? Congratulations on your first month TTC too!

Sarie24 · 07/04/2021 18:53

@TigerDaisy thank you so much :) I'm one of the last in my friendship group too, my best friend is recently pregnant with her second and my brother already has three... It definitely plays on your mind a bit. Your experience sounds so similar to mine, even down to meeting your OH nearly two years ago! You're right, after so many bad relationship experiences, it really does feel amazing when things finally fall into place :) I'm crossing my fingers for a bfp for you!! Do you know when you're due to start testing? :)

Janerobs · 07/04/2021 19:21

@Sarie24 we've not told anyone else either because of the same reason of added pressure.

Your dad seems like he's definitely ready to become a grandparent. I think parents sometimes forget that having children later is now the norm.

I'm currently 6DPO, I'm desperately trying not think about it but its so hard. My period is due next Tuesday, so I think I'll maybe do a test on Sunday. I know I should probably wait until Monday but Monday's are horrible at work and if it's negative it will only make the day worse.

Wishing you the all the luck with your next cycle 💖 xx

TigerDaisy · 07/04/2021 19:53

@Sarie24 thanks Smile I’m currently 6dpo, and not due af until a week tomorrow...I’ll probably break out the internet cheapies Saturday (I certainly bought enough of them!), but it’ll probably be to early to see anything still...but I’m far too impatient to make it another week...every little twinge sets my mind racing Grin

Are you temping or using opks?
