I used a clear blue early response so I would of thought there would be some faint line at least at this point? But you're right it's not over till it's over I guess. It's such an emotionally gruelling thing this isn't it? Keeping fingers crossed that late positives are waiting for us still xx

@Jefferson5 I've had spotting a couple of times since coming off contraception, it's lasted a couple of days each time. Are you getting it before every period?

It's so hard to work out what are PMS symptoms and what are early pregnancy ones, as they are so similar! So sore boobs could mean either, not helpful really but I definitely wouldn't rule yourself out

@dunkedbiscuit I’ve had it every cycle since October 2019 (just checked period app). That’s the time my partner made me take the morning after pill because he wasn’t ready then. Worried that has affected my cycle as I didn’t have it beforehand.

I just wanted to post this incase it helps other people.
I’m 34 and my husband is 58. We don’t drink or smoke and exercise regularly. We eat a fair bit of chocolate so aren’t completely dull . I had my copper coil taken out about 7 cycles ago and my periods went from 7 days to barely 4 they also got a little less regular with a few times being later than my app said. The second month I felt sick, tired but BFN and period came a bit late. Same on month four. Due to a few other things, I wasn’t feeling myself, was obsessing over not being able to get pregnant, running out of time because of our ages etc, and long story short ended up on 50mg Sertraline two months ago. We also booked into a private fertility clinic to reassure me and had blood test, scans, and semen sample done (£500). This was cycle 5. We were told there was no reason we couldn’t get pregnant and my husband was advised to take Wellman Conception Pills.
The antidepressants were working a treat, I stopped obsessing and felt much calmer. We also started fostering a dog so I was really distracted!
We DTD most days (with a couple of every other day) from the start of my period up until about day 22 but I didn’t think the days too much. It wasn’t always wildly enjoyable and sometimes I would rather not have bothered but we were both on board with giving it our best shot.
About 4 days before my period was due my nipples got so sore, different from my normal premenstrual breast pain. I had no noticeable CCM, I had a brief light pain once like a flash of period pain about 2 days before, but barely noticeable. Also, about 10 days before due, I was SO tired Like, ready for sleep at 8.30 and shattered by 9.15. I also started (5 days before) to feel mildly queasy in the middle of the night, had super vivid dreams and then queasy in the day. I got a positive test on day 3 after period due date (had resisted testing before due to previous disappointment) with an Amazon cheapie.
I used my garmin app to log my period, I used Amazon cheap ovulation kit one month to see if I was actually ovulating (I was that month around day 20) and then gave up because it was such a pain.
I just wanted to share this because I was that obsessing person, worrying about it all, convinced there was something wrong with me / us and symptom spotted every month.
So in short, it took 7 cycles, the Wellman Conception pills might have helped, I fixed my mental health and we DTD every day/ every other day from about CD5 until I could face no more about CD22 of 29/30 average.

I also wanted to add that my temperature at night was high about 3 days before I was due - I didn’t measure but I woke up sweaty and it remained high after my period was due. When I say no noticeable CCM, it was just normal for me. And also, my husband doesn’t seem to produce much semen - what seemed about a teaspoonful at a time. So that had me worried but it was all fine.

@Sam8582 thanks hun - still only very light spotting (barely even any on toilet paper now!), but I normally don’t get much until the evening so still counting myself out for now for sanity’s sake

So I wanted to ask all your advice on OPK’s... I haven’t used them yet, and not entirely sure how they work??
Can anyone offer any advice on when to start testing, how often you need to test and which one is the best to use?

Thank you all for your lovely messages ladies . I've spent the day with my head spinning . I was so convinced it wasn't my month. I really hope this sticks and all remains healthy ! I'm going to test again in a few days to check for line progression which will hopefully reassure me . I don't know what I would do without this group . I told my OH this am and his response was 'well it remains to be seen ' super helpful ! NOT !

@Elisabeth2021 I think they really helped me confirm what my body was already telling me . I downloaded the Premom app and followed its advice and I got a clear peak . It did take a while and sometimes multiple tests on some days to find it but it's definitely worth giving it a go . I used the clearblue for the first 2 cycles and it was way out for my ovulation. Smiley face came on and went 2 days before the cheap tests showed a clear peak .
