@bexboo1 what about you?

Twelvestars · 26/03/2021 19:50

Ladies I am 6dpo (CD19) and 6 to 8 days until expected AF. But I’m getting what seems like my usual period pains and heaviness around pelvic area. I hope AF is not on its way! Arghhhhh!

Marvellouslymadmum · 26/03/2021 19:52

@Bexboo1 I do hope so! I got my static smiley today so ovulation will probably be tomorrow not even started the 36th tww yet 😂 you may be one of the lucky ones that it happens quickly for. I've had mega low iron levels which are now finally nearly back to normal with supplements from the doctors plus I've been taking every vitamin supplements under the sun and eating all the extra things I'm supposed to lol I've had some tests done so far but been referred for more as it shouldn't be taking this long and I'll be 42 in a couple of days so time really isn't on my side!

Marvellouslymadmum · 26/03/2021 19:53

@Twelvestars oh no! Let's hope af stays away for you!

Bexboo1 · 26/03/2021 19:59

@lemonade83 I know I keep thinking am I imagining it?! But I didn't notice anything at all last month and got a bfn, it's only my second month trying but I'm probably looking too much into it now searching all forums for similar things. I also have a 14 days luteal phase too as per my app which is normally always accurate and bang on for my dates. On Monday I will be 10dpo and but it says I can test from then with frer but feel like it's still a bit early to get bfp, my cycles are 26 days. Might test on Monday and then again on Wednesday if it's bfn! X

Bexboo1 · 26/03/2021 20:05

@Marvellouslymadmum hopefully this will be your month! You still have so much time, my friend at work fell pregnant with twins when she was 44 and my gran had her last child when she was 49! Will this be your first?

Bexboo1 · 26/03/2021 20:07

@Twelvestars I also have heaviness in my pelvic area and mild cramps too, have done for a few days now. It feels full and I feel bloated too x

Twelvestars · 26/03/2021 20:09

@Marvellouslymadmum haha I hope so too although I feel a 3rd AF (ttc #3) would be my proper baptism into the ttc club because until one has gone through several ttcs, they wouldn’t really understand the struggle. The first 2 cycles I somewhat faltered under the stress of so many mixed emotions but I feel it is sort of sinking in for me that this might be a longer than usual journey. And I’m very okay with it. This thread has helped a lot btw :)

Sorry if I sometimes am forgetful and probably ask the same thing twice, but when are your referrals scheduled for? Was it May time? Let’s hope now that you’ve been addressing your low iron levels that chances have improved. I’ve recently come across several studies, as I’m sure you have as well, about the important role of ferritin and conception. I had no idea about how so many variables come to play into providing an easy road to conception.

Btw, do you exercise regularly? How is your rltp with exercise and how do you feel it has helped with your test results or bettered your chances? This is a question for all you ladies here.

I personally have always been an avid runner and just generally into sports and aerobics abs strength training. But I fell off the wagon since the pandemic hit, so a year now and I’ve been finding it hard getting back on track. In turn I’ve put on 7 kgs. Sigh. I intend to resume ASAP (next few days).

Twelvestars · 26/03/2021 20:13

@Bexboo1 I’m 37, 3 months ttc for 1st baby, I’m currently 8dpo. I read you’re 7 dpo? I guess we can commiserate together if AF makes an appearance 😅

*ttc for 3rd month not baby #3! I wish 😅

02Carol · 26/03/2021 20:15

I'm really trying not to symptom spot like most ladies in the current TTW, but I just went for a wee and when I wiped it was very faintly pink. TMI sorry.

I'm CD 27, AF not due for 8 days and approx 10 dpo, I don't get spotting, I just pretty much start and end AF, trying to not think it's implantation, but the little symptom spotter in my head is now in over drive!

I may need people to keep me sane over the next week and stop me buying the UK supplies of tests. 😵‍💫

Bexboo1 · 26/03/2021 20:22

@Twelvestars I'm 27, second month ttc! Yes 7dpo. Hopefully this will be our month, Af due a week tomorrow. Hoping it doesn't come for either of us

Marvellouslymadmum · 26/03/2021 20:33

@Bexboo1 well that's definitely hopeful! No I have two children from a previous relationship and so does my partner but they're all teenagers now and we don't have any together.

@Twelvestars the doctor sent the referral two weeks ago, I got a letter through saying it's being reviewed and if I don't get an appointment come through by 31/3 to call a number to book so hopefully I'll find out next week! But I'm expecting it'll probably be may, then at least I can get my afc and amh checked and go from there! Yes the iron levels were a mind blowing moment when I read up in all those, finding out how important they were along with a load of others things - hence the many supplements a day I'm now taking 😂

I try to exercise regularly but that has not been happening as much in lockdown, before Covid I was teaching dance classes every week as well as doing yoga or kickboxing and since barely anything! 🤦🏼‍♀️ I've probably put on many kg but scales are the enemy so I don't own any 😂 I prefer to look in the mirror and decide if I need to lose weight haha

@02Carol it's so hard not to get your hopes up isn't it! Even when I know af is due and that happens I convince myself it may not be - there's no helping me sometimes

Farfaraway1 · 26/03/2021 20:52

@02Carol just wanted to send you and hand hold and some strength to be able to hold out testing and not to spend a small fortune on tests 😂😂 but fingers crossed for you!!! Xx

Twelvestars · 26/03/2021 21:01

@Marvellouslymadmum oh wow! What sorts of dance classes? I love dancing. Yeah, same here. The lockdown and the pandemic just threw off my routine. I get you about the scale hahaha actually although I have one ready and available, it was only today that I got on it cause I really needed to confirm what my eyes and tight no-longer-fitting clothes were telling me 🤣

@Bexboo1 well the possibility of a BFP is not over until, as they say, AF shows up 🤞🏻🤞🏻

@02Carol hang in there girl! Hope it’s a BFP come the time to test.

Feanorous · 26/03/2021 21:06

Evening guys..happy Friday!
I'm pleased it's the weekend as hopefully that will mean two more days of the TWW will pass a bit quicker lol.

I am a complete pee on a stick addict and I just know I'll be testing from about 9dpo. I cannot help myself! Its so weird how this process sends me a bit loopy :)

Marvellouslymadmum · 26/03/2021 21:20

@Twelvestars I was teaching freestyle, which is similar to what you see in music videos to children in after school classes, I've been teaching since 2007 and love it but unfortunately it's just not as popular as it used to be so two years ago I retrained as a nail artist and beautician and opened up my own salon just before Covid - very bad timing! I was still teaching at the same time until I got too busy at the salon and to keep me active but now I've had to stop everything for the last year! I have an aversion to scales, I'm only 5' tall and the recommendation for weight is really tiny, even at my smallest as an adult I was above the highest ideal weight, yet I was a size 8 and everyone said I looked ill as I was so skinny - I maintain I'm all muscle and boobs 😂

@Feanorous happy Friday! I think it sends us all loopy!

Twelvestars · 26/03/2021 21:40

The pandemic just changed everything... nothing is like it used to be, even we are not. I hope your nail salon wasn’t a huge financial loss and perhaps you could resume soon now the whole country will reopen and vaccination on a fast track! Btw I’m also 5’2” and always a good size 8 despite me never able to sit within the ideal weight range. I don’t know about now though hahaha

Marvellouslymadmum · 26/03/2021 21:53

@Twelvestars it's been an absolute nightmare! I ended up giving the keys back for the salon as it just wasn't worth paying rent every month for it when I didn't even have a decent client base yet as I'd only just opened there! But I bought a van instead and we are turning it into a mobile salon so hopefully that'll be busy and popular once we can open again! Im more a size 12 these days but I had to have c sections with both my teenagers so my belly pouch is at least 1-2 dress sizes lol

Twelvestars · 26/03/2021 22:02

@Marvellouslymadmum that’s such a brilliant idea! I love it. Hope it picks up as soon as we resume normalcy 🤞🏻

Marvellouslymadmum · 26/03/2021 22:08

@Twelvestars thank you so do I!

Noodella18 · 27/03/2021 07:27

BFN at 9dpo! To be expected so not too disappointed! Anybody know where sells the cheapest FRER?!

thislittlebird · 27/03/2021 08:15

Hi @Bexboo1! I had those symptoms in January. The shooting pain through my right ovary, like an electric shock upwards, was very unusual. I was convinced i could be pregnant but I was very much not lol

As @Marvellouslymadmum said, I think I’ve given up with symptoms too now, can’t trust my body to be consistent Confused

thislittlebird · 27/03/2021 08:16

You might be lucky, it just reminded me of my own symptoms that month!

thislittlebird · 27/03/2021 08:28

I read a bit about the iron levels too @Twelvestars @Marvellouslymadmum. I ordered a Superdrug blood test and my husband did it for me at home, which was different! I was on the seven seas when I did it, might hold off of taking iron again (or much else) until after my May appointment for better readings. Presuming they’ll run tests again.
