@Geriatric1234 no not me, though I'm hoping the docs will suggest it if I ever get to have an appointment! My Lp is varying from 9-17 days and possible pcos.

Hugs and kisses to everyone finding things difficult at the moment. I think the time of year with all the baby animals isn't even helping at the moment!! 🤦🏼‍♀️

StarL2021 · 09/04/2021 14:17

@Geriatric1234 it's 10 days ish. But my day21 bloods came back fine. It's so frustrating. I think it's hormonal changes or something. I do have a cervical erosion too x

Noodella18 · 09/04/2021 14:37

@thislittlebird re the meds, I think the changes I felt were gradual but significant, and I only really noticed how much better I was feeling when I compared it with how I had been. I've described it as feeling like me but without the layer of craziness. It didn't make me feel euphoric or happy all the time, it just meant that I didn't feel gnawing anxiety all the time and more able to cope with everyday ups and downs without getting totally consumed by them.

Misty84 · 09/04/2021 14:56

Thank you @Geriatric1234, I wish I could cut myself some slack like you said! It’s difficult isn’t it, the pressure is full on.

@TTCat39 Yes I tried a whopping 7 different counsellors but none of them helped unfortunately. Only time made a difference in the end, but I still continue to struggle with it on a daily basis. And when I get upset over anything else it always turns into my grief for her again.
I’m so sorry that you’ve had such tough times too, and it seems very unfair that everything has made you have to wait so long to try. It must be so frustrating and upsetting. 💐

@Loladoodle Thank you so much. I can understand why you’re refusing to go there again after 3 years TTC your ds. Do you think your OH is ok with accepting potentially not being a father?

Bombshell85 · 09/04/2021 16:04

Yes im going to have to come off most my meds im really worried about it tbh :( but the babies health is far more precious 💖

Im so sorry about your sister, unexpected death of close ones is so traumatic i wish you and yours love and healing ❤

Im reading a book at the moment called The Two Week Wait and its just a convo between 5 women on a forum like this going thro similar stuff, i really recommend it i read it in 2 sittings 🤣

Ill check out that pod cast!!

Still no one can tell me if i start calendar month at beginning of AF or just after AF?

Good luck to those testing soon ❤❤

Loladoodle · 09/04/2021 16:25

@Misty84 I think he will be more disappointed than he’s letting on. And I can see he wants it more than what he was saying to start with- but he says he is happy with us as we are and a baby would be a bonus. I have tried to prepare him for December when we stop ttc if it hasn’t happened as best I can but I’ve also advised him that he won’t know how that feels fully until the time comes. I have no control over whether he will be ok with it or not- but I’m not going to worry about things that haven’t or may not happen. We will cross that bridge as we come to it. He’s very calm and resilient in nature, whilst I do know he will be disappointed and probably quite gutted- it’s out of our control and I feel 99.9% sure we will get through it if that happens and start focusing on our plan B (live life to the full, new house, lots of travels, dogs, much more finances/comfortable style of living). I will accept whatever card I am dealt.

TTCat39 · 09/04/2021 16:28

@Bombshell85 The month starts on your first day of AF, which is the first day of full red bleeding (not spotting etc). Is that what you were asking?

selina37 · 09/04/2021 18:40

@StarL2021 I am the same re spotting. @Loladoodle recently recommended taking 50mg of vitamin B6 (together with B complex) and honestly it's worked a treat.

I also have erosion/ectropian, which I think is caused by years taking the pill. I bleed after sex in the latter part of luteal phase, as well as (embarrassingly) when I strain fir a number 2.

Try the B6! 🙂

Bombshell85 · 09/04/2021 18:47

@TTcat39
Thank you for that, it gets so confusing! Im having period pains right now and was only on 9 days ago i think i have 1 week in my cycle pain free its annoying.

StarL2021 · 09/04/2021 18:49

@selina37 Ohh I am the same. Is your spotting caused by the erosion? I wonder why it only happens in the luteal phase. It's so confusing.
I tried b6 and it did not really do anything to be honest. I'm still taking it.
How long have you been TTC?

selina37 · 09/04/2021 19:33

@StarL2021 I think the spotting is caused by both the erosion and just general pre-period spotting.

I think the hormones in the latter part of the cycle affect the cervix. Towards the end of the cycle the womb lining is thicker, so those cells on the cervix are most likely thicker too? Hormones do affect everything down there throughout the month really, from discharge to cervical position etc, so it makes sense.

What how much B6 were you taking? Did you take with B complex too? Xx

selina37 · 09/04/2021 19:36

@Geriatric1234 yes! I want to do camping and drinking on summer evenings, and see more of the world! And I also hate mess and clutter 😂

But I also want to show our beautiful world to a child and see their eyes light up ☹️

selina37 · 09/04/2021 19:38

@StarL2021 forgot to say I've been trying over 2 years now, but last year I think I was permanently stressed, like I had high anxiety but functioning if you know what I mean, put so much pressure on myself xx

Pamparam · 09/04/2021 20:07

@Misty84 I am so so so sorry. ❤️

soontobeamama · 09/04/2021 20:59

@Misty84 I'm so very sorry for your loss. You have been through, and continue to go through a lot - remember to be kind to yourself. Take care xx

notyetamumbuttrying · 09/04/2021 21:00

@Misty84 so heartbreaking reading what you've gone through ♥️so sorry 😞

MgW1 · 09/04/2021 21:42

@Bombshell85
Couldnt agree more about health. There is scope there to cut down but only when you are ready. Have you spoken to your doc? X

thislittlebird · 09/04/2021 22:33
@thislittlebird
Iv peaked on cd13 which is earlier than before. Before i started on a.d's and stress and anxiety levels were through the roof I was having a peak on cd20 for 2 months. See if it makes a difference to your cycle?
I read that exercise 3 times a week can boost sperm count up to 30% so I gave my husband a kick up the arse and hes glad I did because hes feel fitter, happier and his clothes fit him better. Will you OH do some exercise ? X
I don’t think I’ve been on the ADs two weeks yet so I need to see how they go. I’ve just had my second acupuncture session after a break and I’m hoping that will help too. The other month I had it I ovulated on day 15 (rather than more like 18) and had a normal period. I’m not that hopeful this month since my body didn’t seem to ovulate but hopefully next month. I’ll start the b6 etc again soon.

He used to exercise much more in the past but he has had plantar fasciitis for the last few years and isn’t super keen. I need to encourage him somehow because he does need to lose some fat round the middle. Not a lot, but a little bit.

thislittlebird · 09/04/2021 22:34

@Geriatric1234 glad you’re feeling a bit better! I am hoping we will get one round of nhs ivf. But it’s only one round where we live. Still, I will take one over none.

thislittlebird · 09/04/2021 22:37

@Noodella18 I had a bit of an anxiety test today. Driving makes me quite anxious and I went to the acupuncturist and went up the wrong road and got all stressed when I was stuck in a narrow dead end with cars all around me and had to do a sixteen point turn Confused. I definitely felt anxious, like I normally would in a driving situation that makes me stressed. I wonder if it’ll improve over time.

thislittlebird · 09/04/2021 22:41

@Misty84 I’m so sorry to hear your story. I know it doesn’t help you but I really relate to and understand that desire for your own family. I haven’t suffered the same loss, but I have suffered the sort of....disintegration of what’s left of my family. You will get your own little family one way or another 🧡

thislittlebird · 09/04/2021 22:49

Ok so has anyone here replaced old plastic Tupperware and stuff? Or done anything else to improve the plastic situ at home?

I saw this today which reminded me I should get on that with that considering DH’s motility issues
www.salon.com/2021/04/04/plastic-pollution-infertility-extinction/

I hadn’t seen it linked directly to plastics before, does that egg book go into this as the cause? I chose not to buy the egg book because they didn’t have a kindle edition but now I’m wondering if I should.

Katiekattty · 09/04/2021 22:55

@thislittlebird funnily enough I’ve gradually moving to glass Tupperware type containers. I got rid all the old plastic ones. I’ve been slowly swapping out the containers because I like to meal prep depending on what’s going on with me.

thislittlebird · 09/04/2021 23:03

I really want to do this but I have a bit of a storage problem @Katiekattty. I keep my Tupperware on a shelf where the microwave is in my rather small kitchen. The shelf in there is looking a little...strained under the weight but we don’t have anywhere else to keep them and if we get glass they’re going to be heavier Confused

Did you find a good brand?

I’m not sure what to do really, I do think I need to replace the old stuff though. We store a lot of food in those pots.

Misty84 · 09/04/2021 23:06

Thank you so much to all you lovelies who have reached out today ❤️

@thislittlebird I have begun the plastic purge! Swapped all containers to glass, and bought glass water and smoothie bottles instead of the plastic ones I was reusing (and putting in the dishwasher oooops). Swapped our cleaning products (my mum was delighted to receive our cast offs!) and now moving onto a cleaner skincare range too. Started reading ISWTE a few weeks ago and how all those chemicals affect us is fascinating!
