Swing your partners round and round (the bedroom). Grab a spot and put your best checked shirt on. We're all stepping together to create some seriously strong lines - Yee-Haw! Now let's get making some cowboys (and girls!) It's time to begin now count it in...5...6...7...8!

This is the 9th post pill party thread for women whose bodies are a bit out of sync post pill. So pull up a hay bale and share your stories of dreary delayed ovulation, fascinating follicular phases, lively luteal phases and terrific temp charts.

In the Line up already.....

Been keeping up with all these messages and thinking of you all. Love the message above.... so true!!

Kay00 · 26/03/2021 14:11

@Lovebug06 Please don't be sorry, if you can't offload on to us then who can you offload on to?! We are here for you and we totally get it. This process sucks, and it gets more and more difficult the longer you try xx Huge hugs! xx

@abi555 I love your sentiment, we should absolutely be focusing on enjoying our lives! The sun is starting to poke through the rain clouds here is Devon and we have a bright sunny week ahead. I'm going to finish work in a couple of hours then go for a nice long walk with my doggo's before swinging past Sainsburgs for Pizza and wine Wine... thank f**k its FRIDAY!!

I'm feeling a little more positive today ... even though I ate some cauliflower yesterday and came out in a rash all over my face (not sure why... not sure I can even blame inflammation or what the hell is going on?! haha!!)... I don't even think I ovulated a few days ago (temp dipped back below the cover line)... so I think I'm going to start thinking about booking a holiday... for 2023 haha! Grin

Figgypullx · 26/03/2021 14:22

Hi all, I really hope you don’t mind me posting on this thread.. (you’ll have to excuse me as I’m pretty new to this so I think I accidentally posted on a old thread) I am looking for some advice to anyone that’s had a similar experience coming off the pill. I came off 14th February, just under a week later I had some spotting for a few days (which I thought was a withdrawal bleed) I then had a 3 day light/medium period on CD22. I’m now on CD16 and have come on again today! Is this normal? I was on cerazette for 14 years with no breaks and no periods. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you X

Lovebug06 · 26/03/2021 14:59

@abi555 that's a great message. I think I need to keep it and read it every time I feel crap about it all!
@Kay00 I'm glad your positive. Oh wow a holiday seems like a dream Grin something great to look forward to. I think the crazy last year has been quite miserable in general too which probably hasn't helped us all, its not like we can go out and have planned things before to take our minds off it. But it's looking up now, can't wait for summer.
@Figgypullx I think that's totally normal. I think it takes a little bit sometimes for your periods to get settled after being on the pill. I was on the pill for 14 years but had the periods, so someone on here will probably know more about this pill though Smile

Kay00 · 26/03/2021 15:04

@JT90 and @Figgypullx Welcome!!!

Melissaq94 · 26/03/2021 15:31

@Figgypullx welcome! I was on yasmin pill for 5 years but I started off on Celeste then have been on the implant and injection all back to back before going on yasmin.. I came off yasmin in November, I've had a period every month since coming off but they have been really light and my cycles have been slightly longer but nothing out of the ordinary apparently! Hope you'll enjoy this thread as much as we all do! X

mrsmacmc · 26/03/2021 15:44

🤬 Today has been a day of phone tennis for me 😩 I called the GP as hadn't heard anything about my scan and they said to call hospital which I did. They claimed to had no record of the request. Called GP back who was adamant request had gone through and they would resend it as an urgent request after I broke down on the phone as I've had another horrendous AF this month. Days like this I wish I drank 🍸

Cams50 · 26/03/2021 15:57

@Lovebug06 haha yeah give us some tips then 😂

@abi555 yes!!! I absolutely love that!! I felt the same before meeting my OH and wish I could tell me single self to relax! I’m going to try to do exactly what you’ve said.

@mrsmacmc ugh I’m sorry. That sounds stressful. So annoying. Glad they’re sending it through as urgent though.

@JT90 and @Figgypullx welcome! I think it’s perfectly normal to have weird cycles coming off the pill. Hope they settle for you quickly. I upload my OPKs to the Premom app and I think I use the fermometer thermometer

JT90 · 26/03/2021 16:09

@cams50 Thank you for that! I will get on Amazon now. Tbh we need a thermometer around the house anyways, so wouldn't be the worst thing to order one and see if I peak around ovulation. Just can't get to grips with my new cycle without periods, bloody pain!

Cams50 · 26/03/2021 16:32

@JT90 no worries ☺️ I just double checked and it is the fermometer thermometer on Amazon. The one that says basal body thermometer and it needs to work to at least 2 decimal places. Hope your cycle becomes clearer quickly!

Flowers222 · 26/03/2021 16:33

@abi555 I love that and you are completely right about just enjoying the time we have now! I also love a podcast so will give it a listen. Currently on my runs I am listening to my dad wrote a porno. So funny. People probably think I am odd running around laughing to myself

@JT90 hello! For a thermometer, any that goes to 2 decimal places is fine. You can get them for about £10 on Amazon. I find either femometer or Premom good to track opks. They tell you a number to show your peak.

@Figgypullx welcome! It can take some time for everything to settle after coming off the pill. I didn't get to kind of regular cycles until 9 months off the pill! Not saying it will take you that long but it may just take a little patience.

abi555 · 26/03/2021 17:31

@Flowers222 Haha, I've listened to my dad wrote a porno too - hilarious!! I also started chuckling to myself and swear people thought I was going crazy! I'm also partial to This American Life as they often have quite interesting stories about people's lives which can be fascinating and give you a bit of perspective

welcome! @JT90 and @Figgypullx

My new attitude of serenity was tested this morning by our shower leaking through our ceiling, our new dining room table arriving in two parts (table top and legs) but without any screws to combine the two together and our wedding caterer informing us he refuses to refund our 5K because, despite 100 guests at a reception party being illegal in May, he still feels we have broken our original contract if we cancel Angry

However, the sun is shining, it's Friday, we have takeaway curry for dinner, and we're getting steak and a nice bottle of red for tomorrow night since I'm not pregnant! I am keeping my positive attitude!! Grin
Loving the idea of booking a holiday @Kay00 I need to book something, even if it's just a weekend away or dinner out, as have nothing in the diary at all and love something to look forward to! I think a change of scenery would work wonders for most of us, and really feel this sh*tbag of a year has made TTC a thousand times more stressful without friends/family to have a laugh with and decompress

Be kind to yourselves everyone!xx

FlyingGiraffe · 26/03/2021 17:47

@Flowers222 I love that podcast! I listened to it whilst me and DH were travelling on night buses! People must have been so annoyed at me bursting out laughing as they tried to sleep! 😂

@abi555 I love that positivity! 💕

@mrsmacmc that sounds frustrating to say the least! If you dont drink, I highly recommend chocolate as a substitute 🍫😉

@Figgypullx @JT90 welcome! 👋

CD17 today for me. My temperature was higher this morning but I was up for a wee in the night so not sure if that affected things! Hopefully not and I have ovulation confirmed in the next couple of days! Chart attached for something to look at! Happy weekend all! 🥂🙌

Juno231 · 26/03/2021 18:02

@FlyingGiraffe looks like we're cycle buddies! Had a temp rise today as well after a peak opk yesterday

@JT90 I use the £10 femometer thermometer as well! Do use fertility friend for the tracking though as it is by far the best I think! Femometer the app is particularly bad for bbt imo.

@Figgypullx sounds totally normal based on all the wonkiness I've seen on here. Should hopefully settle soon though 🤞

@abi555 I'm the same - I get so down towards the end of the tww that by the time AF shows I'm actually fine in comparison!

Sperr · 26/03/2021 19:18

I feel like I’m on a Debbie downer today. OH’s best friend just had a baby today (which was an accident) and a little part of me wants to cry. Should probably get my crying out the way now so I can be normal when I meet her 😂. Just trying to convince myself at least I can go out for meals and drinks in a couple of weeks 🙃😂. I actually can’t wait to have other stuff to think about other than TTC- get me back to the gym ASAP!!

Moocher90 · 26/03/2021 19:20

5DPO I’m just so happy at this point that I ovulated and it wasn’t a failed attempt. It’s been 7 months since coming off contraception and I think this is my proper official first tww.

Post Pill Party - The Line Dance
Lovebug06 · 26/03/2021 19:21

I'm 11dpo. Cramping has started today on and off. Boobs are tender. But that's it nothing else apart from my skin going a bit bad since ovulation this month, even on my chest (sorry I know it's yuck) my post pill acne had cleared up a couple of months or so ago so it's weird probably just come back or a new mean AF symptom. I just said to DH I want it to come and get it over with but then I don't want the upset yet and I still want that bit of hope, I think you guys will understand that!
I will be needing to remember your message this weekend and Monday @abi555 😂

@mrsmacmc that's sounds really stressful. Literally this journey is crap enough without them doing that. Its hard enough having to do it, I hope your feeling a bit better this evening.

mrsmacmc · 26/03/2021 20:04

@Lovebug06 & @Cams50 it's frustrating 😩 the receptionist at the GP was lovely we had a good moan about coming back as men as I told her I'd had another horrendous AF visit this month which was why I was keen to have my scan and see what the funk is going on - can't keep chewing naproxen. She called back at 5:20 to say request had gone again and she was going to call the hospital on Monday to ensure they didn't 'lose' this one.

@FlyingGiraffe I vented my frustrations and channelled it into baking a fudge loaf - waiting on it cooling so I can ice it and devour a slice 😂

Cooried up on the couch with pooch tonight have a good weekend everyone and hope baby dust brings us some good news on this thread ✨

ChinChilly · 26/03/2021 20:29

@abi555 love your attitude, I’m definitely trying to be more like that! As for the leak from the shower, same here! Leaked into our kicthen, recently had it replastered and painted (just the ceiling) and its got a huge brown stain on it FFS

@Sperr I hear you!! One of my aunty’s previous partners daughters (from a previous) just a had another baby, and her and her husband are abit chavvy and generally just vile and I’m like whyyyyy don’t deserve it!! Terrible way to think really but I can’t help it!

@Moocher90 so pleased you ovulated!

@mrsmacmc a nice receptionist at a GP is unusual!! Glad your request has been sent through hopefully it comes through soon! Agreed we definitely need some good news on this thread!!

Just had a blazing positive OPK so BD is a go go for the next 2/3 days!

JT90 · 26/03/2021 20:41

@flowers222 Thank you, I've just purchased so should be here Sunday. Which is perfect as can start tracking my temperature come the Monday. As I'm a complete newbie to this, please can you explain any key things I need to be doing with my BBT? I've seen ladies say check in the morning and always check at the same time. I need a brief dummies guide if anyone has some tips!

Lovebug06 · 26/03/2021 20:47

@mrsmacmc well I hope she gets it sorted for you now. I'm also cuddles up with my little dog. He's my baby. He does give good hugs when I'm feeling sad about all this Smile
Good luck @ChinChilly hopefully it's your time

ChinChilly · 26/03/2021 20:52

@Lovebug06 thank you!! Hoping the next one is a sticky one!! My dog definitely gets a sense of when I’m down, when i had the last CP he didn’t leave my side, very sweet.

@JT90 I’m not temping expert but aslong as you stick to the same sort of time every morning and if you sleep through a day or so you can just use an online adjuster, definitely download the fertility friend app to log them, puts your temps in a nice lil chart for you

Juno231 · 26/03/2021 20:54

@JT90 you need to do it pretty much same time every day and it has to be as soon as you wake up - so no sitting up, talking, moving befor taking it. On the odd day where you sleep in or wake up extra early you can use a bbt temp adjuster to adjust for the time difference (just Google it). Oh and make sure you don't wake up with your mouth open (if you do then close your mouth and wait a couple of minutes before you take the temp). Lastly - you need to have had 4h sleep before taking it as otherwise it can affect the temp.

It sounds like a lot to think about but honestly it's not bad at all!

@Moocher90 omg I hadn't realised it had been that long!! Remind me if you did anything differently this time around?

@mrsmacmc I'm glad the receptionist was helpful! Not often that happens 😅

Moocher90 · 26/03/2021 21:04

@Juno231 I haven’t done anything new in particular but I’ve been df and gf for 2 months which I think has massively helped me. Still got to sort out the thyroid issue but I’m glad it’s not deterred ovulation from happening! Due for day 3 and 21 bloods so will see if AF comes then will schedule them in. Also thyroid bloods and can start medication which I’ve already been prescribed and got at home ready to start. I take a bundle of vitamins daily but have been since the start of TTC. It could well be that being on contraception for 14 years it’s just taken 7 months to come out of my system properly. Hopefully my LP is good so at least something I won’t have to lengthen as my cycles appear to be when they are regular around 30 days. However I have had whacky cycles shorter then expected in the past. I’m only 5dpo but I am wishing away another week as I feel this week has gone so slow so far

Kay00 · 26/03/2021 21:11

@moocher90 I'm soooo pleased for your ovulation 🥳🥳

And happy ovulation day to @juno231 and @flyinggiraffe !

I'm having serious doubts about mine now after a slight temp dip this morning. Plus the temps are just too low for post ovulation 😒 hopefully tomorrow's temp will paint a clearer picture.
