@thislittlebird I’m so happy for you. There’s nothing like the feeling taking control of something that’s bothering us. I hope by six weeks from now this will be behind you ❤️

thislittlebird · 10/03/2021 00:15

@Twelvestars Thanks, and yeah I really hope in six weeks it will feel like a weight has lifted.

We’re you ovulating day 10/11 with the 22 and 24/25 day cycle? That would mean your luteal phase changing rather than the follicular phase, I guess.

KG1145 · 10/03/2021 08:34

@thislittlebird really glad you had a good appointment with your dermatologist. Fingers crossed it gets it all sorted for you!

I'm really fighting the urge to poas this morning! I'm 10 days after getting the CB smiley face on the digital tests. I trying to tell myself I probably ovulated a day or couple of days after so it's still too early.

Thought I had symptoms of sore boobs then checked my calendar and saw I had exactly the same this time last month... Hmm

Sleeeeeepy · 10/03/2021 08:59

Ugh @KG1145 I hate the sore boobs fake symptom, when I started to track symptoms a while back I realised it was always the week before AF for me, must be something hormonal ☹️

Yep, I think it's to do with progesterone.... But then I remember noticing them when I was pregnant with my son so think I'd get them either way...

I've decided I'm not going to ruin my day off with getting a negative test and chances are it will be negative so early. I've put them away and will try not to think about them just laying in the draw wanting to be peed on Confused Grin

KG1145 · 10/03/2021 09:06

How are you other TWW'ers getting on?

Noodella18 · 10/03/2021 09:15

@KG1145 so pleased it was positive seeing your friend. Hopefully now she knows own your worries she can be a really good source of support ❤

@thislittlebird great news about the specialist, she sounds ace! Hopefully you can really get a handle on your skin now 🤞

@Pamparam I'm finding the cheap opks quite hard to use because my wee is never concentrated enough during the day. I glug lots of water and feel crap if I don't, so the tests have been really faint so far and not showing progression. I found doing one straight after a run helped cause I had been sweating so wee was more concentrated.

Noodella18 · 10/03/2021 09:16

Disaster has struck! It's fertile week and both my partner and I have been laid low by a vomiting bug so haven't managed a single shag! I'm on CD10 and peak fertility days are marked as tomorrow and Friday so I'm really hoping we can get busy then!

Oh no! Hope you both feel better soon! Such frustrating timing for it.
Pamparam · 10/03/2021 11:05

@Noodella18 oh noooooo. Feel better soon! Similar happened when my partner had a Covid jab and felt too rough to do it 😂 if it doesn’t happen this month you may avoid a Christmas baby (not sure if this is a positive or negative, depends how much you love christmas I guess)

Pamparam · 10/03/2021 11:06

Re OPKs, I tried the cheapy as a backup in case the CB one was faulty. But I got a flashing face this morning at last. Could be the vitamin c I’ve been taking interfering with my cycle... Doc Google MD is contradictory on this matter

Noodella18 · 10/03/2021 11:30

@Pamparam due date would be December 4th if it worked this month, next month the due date would be early January and speaking from experience January is a totally shit time to have a birthday! So I'd much rather early December than early January (she says, as though conception will be as easy as picking the month she wants to get preggo and it happening 😏)

Pamparam · 10/03/2021 11:47

@Noodella18 ahh my maths is crap - yeah you're totally right - if it were possible to choose then everyone is in a party mood in early December and overstuffed, overboozed and tired in early Jan 😂

Marvellouslymadmum · 10/03/2021 12:22

@KG1145 be strong! Lol if you start poas I may be tempted as I'm the same spot as you 🙈 my boobs have slight tender twinges which I don't usually get 🤔 I'm thinking it might be everything getting back to how it should be now my iron levels are going up!

@Noodella18 oh no! Why do these things always choose the wrong time to happen to us?! Hope you feel better in time for dtd

December is full of birthdays for us my son is 22nd and my partners two are also December plus my sister and three others too! But if I finally get a bfp I really wouldn't care that I'm adding to the december clan lol

sickofthisyear · 10/03/2021 12:48

Hi all-
@Noodella18 sorry you're both poorly Sad the bad timing is so frustrating, maybe it'll be a 24 hr thing?
I've started POAS. BFN at 10DPO 😕 so despite lots of symptoms it's not looking great for this month.
I agree, would rather a Dec b'day (which DD has) than a Jan one, but I don't think it will impact on our plans. I really don't feel we can afford to 'waste' a month at this point for that kind of reason. Birthdays are what you and your family make of them. We've always made DDs (mid Dec) really special, just need to plan far in advance to ensure its pencilled in as Dec is so busy.

thislittlebird · 10/03/2021 13:48

Oh no, what rubbish timing @Noodella18!

I have minor panic attacks when I think about when a baby would be born. We’re nearly hitting 2022 births and I haven’t had a bfp ever since 2019, can’t think too much about when any potential baby would be born for my own sanity, as much as I’d love to. I definitely can’t afford fret about months @sickofthisyear. It crossed my mind when I thought I might be pregnant a few months ago because august but I had to just push it away. I’d love not to lose the next one or two months but ultimately getting my health back is going to help me, I’m sure.

TMI warning but my period seems more normal for me this month? It’s been super weird the last six months. From a few very light pink days until done, to being a mere 2 days last month which was, quite frankly, weird. It was like very, very intensely dark brown and didn’t look right. Since the acupuncture I’ve had the cd14 ovulation and now what looks like a more healthy flow. Not sure how long it’ll last yet but it definitely looks more normal for me.

DH went to do his next SA after work this morning. He said the clinic was now also a vaccine centre so it was absolutely bumping with people. They’d stuck a waiting room outside of the wank station lmao. I feel sorry for the guys who will get really anxious doing it, doesn’t sound like a relaxing experience.

Marvellouslymadmum · 10/03/2021 14:11

@thislittlebird omg 😳 😂 that made me laugh about the waiting area outside the wank station! I really do this that's what putting my oh off getting one cos he doesn't want to go to the clinical room or find out he has duff swimmers lol

Pamparam · 10/03/2021 16:48

Wank station 😂

Sounds super positive @thislittlebird. When’s the next acupuncture session?

Sorry about bfn @sickofthisyear

KG1145 · 10/03/2021 17:33

I nearly tested today @sickofthisyear I'm also 10dpo. In my view there's a slim chance of a positive at 10dpo but given Im counting from when I got a clear blue smiley it shows the peak which happens before ovulation. Ovulation can take 48 hours to happen i think. If so it might take a bit longer for the hormones to show. Fingers crossed itll happen for us yet!

I bought the frer tests which 'can' show from 6 days early. I do wonder what cycle length that's based on though because surely that makes a difference... This was all going through my head this morning when I woke up desperate for a wee but not wanting to waste the first wee of the day if I wanted to test!

The over thinking that goes into the tww! Confused

Noodella18 · 10/03/2021 19:38

@thislittlebird wank station 😂😂😂

@sickofthisyear sorry about the bfn but still early days 🤞

Noodella18 · 10/03/2021 19:43

Right, so I don't think tonight is going to happen for a shag due to still feeling rough.

App is saying ovulation is due on Saturday and although it's the first month of using it and not doing bbt I do usually get some ewcm around CD14 so I guess that tallies. Question is, what's the latest we can get jiggy and still be in with a shot? Is ovulation day itself too late?

I though ovulation day or 24/48 hours after. Someone else mught know better than me though. Hope you feel better soon
Pamparam · 10/03/2021 20:47

I conceived my toddler doing it just the once, the morning after I got my positive OPK (ie 24 hours later) @Noodella18. Just for what it's worth!

M4v3r1ck · 10/03/2021 20:48

Happy hump day ladies! 😈 how are we all?

@Marvellouslymadmum bargain re: the gel! How did you get on with your blood tests yesterday?

@Pamparam bodies are a mare! Think you and I have the same luck with OPKs!!! 🤪🤦🏻‍♀️ Still got my 🤞🏻 for you this cycle though!

@Twelvestars yup, it's the overthinks, the panics and the impatience that drives me mad! It's nice to have people (albeit virtually) to share this journey with and make the load easier! 😘 Re: cycles I'm sure a few ladies on here mentioned seven seas and other supplements were good for increasing cycle length! 🤔

@thislittlebird I'm so glad you had a good appointment and have a plan going forwards! What an enormous relief that must be! 😍 wank station! 🤣🤣🤣

@Noodella18 gaaarrrr that's so typical! Hopefully it's just a short 24 hr or so bug snd you can catch the FW!!! 🤞🏻 feel better soon, lovely! 😘

@sickofthisyear boo to BFN! But it's still early so 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 @KG1145 same for you too!

@Misty84 @TTCat39 I think we're cycle buddies! CD7 here, so just started my CB testing to hopefully catch a peak this month! 😃🤞🏻 FW is supposed to start from weekend onwards! 😈

Marvellouslymadmum · 10/03/2021 21:08

@M4v3r1ck all went well thank you, I've been told to call tomorrow afternoon if I haven't heard anything yet as the doc is only in tomorrow and Monday! So hopefully I'll find out something by tomorrow
