March 2021 TTC Bus!

Hey everyone! Thought I would start a March 2021 TTC bus. I'm TTC for first baby, cycle #8, CD12 hopping off from Feb 2021 bus. Wishing lots of baby dust and BFPs to all! Xx

Congratulations to all those who got BFPs this month! It's great to see.

It's CD10 for me, 7th month trying. I don't have any children.

I have PCOS so I'm on metformin and this is my second month on Clomid, but I'm not getting monitored so hard to know if I'm actually ovulating.

I got irritated by it so I had a phone call with my GP today and I'm getting bloods done (general bloods on thyroid, iron etc) and hormone bloods on CD21 to see if I'm ovulating, and DH is getting tested too just in case.

I've decided not to buy pregnancy tests this month until my period is due for the sake of my sanity!

So I'm 8dpo and AF due tomorrow and I've been dying with cramp all day! I really think I OV too late as I have 28 day cycles! This is only 3rd month of trying but anyone think I should call GP about this? 🥺

Do you guys tell your other half when your fertile period is / the results of OPKs etc? I’m worried about putting too much pressure on to perform if I give too much info, but also he needs to know to be on call for action 😂 we have an energetic 2 yr old so DTD does need some degree of pre thought and effort otherwise it won’t happen! So far I’ve been vague ish just saying ‘this next week or so is a good time’ but I know when I get that static smiley I’m going to want to shout it from the rooftops 🙈 interesting in what other people share with the men folk?

Maybe just keep trying? Or you could just not track anything and just go with the flow! Of it happens then amazing but if not you can start properly from next month. Really depends on if you’d really not like their birthdays close together.. I appreciate December is a super expensive month already! Xx

@dunkedbiscuit This is a hard one! I’ve been using OPK’s this month (had my smiley on Friday and had been using One Step strips too). OH has a very manual/stressful job and he’s usually exhausted all week but I had to make a point of saying when the fertile week began. On Friday morning, I went upstairs while he was downstairs with my little one and just did my clear blue test and got my smiley, so just before we were both leaving for work I told him. It’s difficult because he said he feels like it’s another job! Obviously it’s enjoyable for both of us 😂 but he did say he feels like there’s a lot of pressure on his part 😕 we DTD that night anyway but I can tell he overthinks it all. It all depends on how you think your OH would react to knowing that’s ‘this is the day’.. if he’s super chilled about it all then he’d be fine probably! Xx

@amyannx oh god it hadn't occured to my that getting preggo now means an Xmas baby 🤣 I was to focused on if I'm not preggo by April/may then we'll have to hit pause so I'm not 8/9 month preggo for a trip already planned for 2022 🤣
The other halfs birthday is Christmas day 🤦‍♀️

Congrats @AthersB 🤗 AF not due til Wednesday, but could be all over the place due to mc last month, so 3 clear blues BFN yesterday n today, prob not my month. Will test again maybe thurs if AF doesn’t arrive. Really getting a bit obsessed with POAS 🤣 better off not having any in the house🙈

@Confused678866 Yes it's a FRER. I used a clear blue one yesterday and got nothing at all so I thought I was out this month

@Somatronic I’m on Metformin for PCOS too, had my first baby on metformin ❤️ X

@Confused678866 I think I'm going to keep tracking with the opk as it's help know when I Ovulate as I only came off the pill in January, I think I will keep trying and if it happens next month then it's meant to be x

@SkaterChick I conceived my son at the end of March and his birthday is 22nd of December so I'm cycle day 1 today and it's going to be the same time if I conceived this cycle too! But I'm going to keep trying, wasn't going to at first but it's could take me months so rather carry on and if I do fall pregnant this month then it was meant to be x

@TTCBabyWall2 oh that's good to hear! I personally feel like it's doing nothing because once I came off Dianette and started on Metformin my acne and other symptoms returned, so that worries me about the severity of the PCOS. I might need a higher dose maybe.

Did you change your diet and take up exercise or just take Metformin without any changes? I'm not sure how much I should be doing or if taking the medication alone is enough.

Hello Ladies!

Just wanted to jump on the March bus.
TTC #2 and we've decided this month to start but not get OTT (aimed at me from #1 with OPKs, temps and charts). DC will be 3 in December so March may not be entirely the best time as due date would be in the same week based on dates. However it took us a little while last time so don't expect it to be this month.

@amyannx absolutely, this is only cycle1 of ttc so I'm not expecting it but it it happens it was meant to happen :)

@clairehr Yes thanks. Think it was playing with my daughter, she's getting heavy! lol Couldn't stand up straight, it was awful and I felt useless! Hope your DH's knee is better and we are all fit and able to get down to business next cycle! haha

@AthersB Amazing! I do have a couple of these in my drawer, I’m only 2/3 DPO (not entirely sure) so I’m a long way off yet.. but I think I’m going to try and hold off as much as possible.. unless I get lots of symptoms!

@dunkedbiscuit I didn't tell my OH whenever I got a positive OPK as didn't want him to feel pressured.

Hiya, very new to this so thought I would see if anyone has any advise or guidance. I’ve tried to temp this month (mouth) but from what I’ve read you should have more of a rise if you’ve ovulated. Thanks so much ☺️

@Somatronic I didn’t make any other changes really just started taking the Metformin! I fell after 2 months and had a MC and then fell after 5 months and had my daughter. I’ve been back on it since Dec so had 2 ovulation cycles which went like text book (before going back on metformin I can’t remember the last time I even had a period)! Do you test ovulation? I use clear blue digital x

Hiya, just gonna jump on if that’s ok? We’re trying for #3. I had my first at 31 and took 7 months with a previous partner. 41 with my 2nd and took us 2 months. I’ll be 43 in June so going need to get cracking! Waiting on AF which is due tomorrow and then we’ll start after that! Good luck to all 😊

@amyannx sorry af showed! Might be good to just keep trying but depends how you feel about their birthdays being so close? If it makes you feel any better, my eldest is 6th nov, this one will be 14th nov and my youngest is 29th Dec! Not to mention hubbies 2 Dec, dad 24th Dec and my mum 8th jan. My brothers and neices and nephews are all between November and March too 😆 we have cheap summers at least.

@dunkedbiscuit my hubby knew sometimes when my fertile period was but he didn't seem to mind...he was just quite happy with the quantity haha!

@Twochews78 we're quite similar! Im 39 and just got my bfp with #3. I have 13 years between my first 2...so quite a similar age gap too! Good luck 🤞

I took one last test today at 13dpo (just to be sure lol) and it was the cheapest of cheap tests with a nice pink line! Feeling satisfied now 😄

What ovulation sticks do you use?
I’ve tried clearblue and now on premom
