CD4 for me today, cycle #60000000 at least. 🤦🏼‍♀️ TTC bubs #2 since Jan 2020.
2 miscarriages, umpteen national lockdowns, at least a stone heavier 🙄 Let's do this 💪❤️

16dpo and late Af ( day 3 ) done a test this eve and the got the worlds faintest line - with colour in under 2 mins! I dont know whether it will lead to anything , more than likely be a chemical at such late stage. Just goes to show that sperm can live a good few days....i need some good luck...🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

I’m struggling with this TWW it’s just taking soooo long! And lockdown makes it harder doesn’t it as I don’t really have anything else to focus on. I do need to clear out the spare room and decorate it so it can become my DS’s ‘big boy bedroom’ so might just immerse myself in that for the next week!

Ok so just reporting back from fertility call for anyone interested. This is what she said:

In a nutshell, because I’m getting pregnant (2mc), they said it might just be unlucky, and I need to keep going! I also need to be having sex throughout the month to ensure dead sperm isn't accumulating ahead of my fertile week.

She’s going to refer me for 2 further blood tests. One to check hormones associated with ovarian reserve (see if I’ve still got plenty of eggs!), and one to check for any other viruses like HIV etc.

She’s also suggested I get swabs done for infection when I have my smear next month.

Other than that, she’s going to book me in for a follow up in 4 months to see where we’re at. She said at that stage we could check my Fallopian tubes.

That’s it really!

The only other option to consider which wouldn’t be covered by NHS and is really expensive, is IVF with embryo screening. She did also say that I should be referred to the miscarriage unit rather than fertility clinic as they’re really for people who can’t get pregnant at all. So if unlucky enough to have another mc, that’s what I need to ask my doc to do x

That’s interesting @BubsNumber2inTheMaking and sounds like they are at least mapping out a way forward in terms of things to test for, etc, how are you feeling about it?

@dunkedbiscuit I don't think I had any expectations going into it so it sort of just confirmed what I already knew. I wish there was an easy, quick fix, and having it confirmed that there isn't (!) does make me feel a bit blue. But in the same breath, as I've managed to conceive a couple of times in the last year, that does give me a little hope that eventually one will stick 🤞🤷‍♀️ Just gotta keep trying! Xx

@Clapham4 yes I suppose a little. It's reassuring to hear someone who deals with fertility for a living, telling you to just keep going and it's likely to happen. I mean, it's not like she has a crystal ball but she must have seen some stuff in her time? Here's hoping! She was very nice and supportive too which always helps x

So we got accepted for IVF 😬 I got ahead of myself and went through the NHS hoops for a referral thinking it would take a long time and it only took a few weeks. So I’ve asked can I hold off until the summer as ideally would like to hopefully catch naturally. And as all our fertility tests have come back really good, I feel like IVF is an extreme next step, if one of us had issues I’d go for it in a heartbeat though! The lady I’m speaking with was lovely and said we can hold off a few months. So I am really hoping so so much it happens soon🤞🏼

So if anyone is wondering on wait times for referrals etc. It took about 4 weeks, from bloods to being accepted. Although I had to share our private test results too that we did last year, so that probably sped things up. I’m with the GP at Hand / Babylon service. Xx

I totally get what you mean about preferring for it to catch naturally if possible but what a brilliant thing to have secured as back up 👍 2 of my uni friends had 1st and 2nd babies through IVF, and in less time ttc that me, so very hopeful!xx

Hey everyone hope you are all good? Well AF was 3 days late but it has arrived now in full force 😔 so I'm out. Dont know why but I really thought this cycle would be different. Btw If anyone is interested i do recommend the progesterone online test i got my result back and i got 48.5 which is a good level for day 23 when I took it. Feel quite low now about AF but it is what it is. I found a really inspiring YouTuber called Crystal Conte who was trying for 2.5 years before conceving her first baby naturally (she did have to had ov inducing meds) her TTC vlogs are good.

Just to update you , iv had a faint positive 4 days late .... baffled about my dates too. Must have dtd 3 - 4 days prior to ovulation. Hope all is still good with you x

Try every day for 5 days , that was my next plan. Also made my husband start running again! Read if men do 45 mins cardio 3 times a week it can boost sperm count by up to 30% and increase mortality.
