Ovulation due 27th January / Period due 10th February

So it's our first month ttc, however it's been in the pipeline for a year or so with me coming off the pill etc.

I generally have 30 day cycles and have been using my tracker app to track this which has been really reliable although I know it's not guaranteed. I am due to ovulate on the 27th January and due on my period on the 10th February.

I know the fertile window is 5 days before. Would you do it every day? Twice a day? Every other day?

SO excited to start testing in the next few weeks

@Lilbambinoplz I'm going to wait till Tuesday 11dpo to test. I'm thinking if it's positive it will defo show by then. Iv had some headaches the past few days, bloating and peeing more often, some low down twinges too. Keep us posted on your result tommorow xx

Morning girls! I have had this very faint line this morning on a cheap strip test. - not sure what to think? It was immediately after. I tried again on a new strip but no line so unsure if it's because it wasn't FMU? I'm not due AF until Wednesday. Don't know whether to go and buy a first response test or whether to try and hold out a few days. Do you have to use FMU on these or could I test at any point today? Xx

@Misty84 don't give up hope. It will happen when you least expect it. My sister had two rounds of failed ivf and gave up...within 6 months (she quit her job due to stress and just didn't care about anything anymore) she was done worrying, then she fell pregnant. Has two beautiful children...naturally. She has a defective gene and had to take medication all the way through as her body was killing off the eggs previously. Xxx never give up hope xx

Def looks positive @cooper96, congrats! FMU is more concentrated so I’m sure that’ll be why you didn’t get a line on the second one. But the HCG levels should continue to increase so at some point you should get a line without needing to use FMU - but impossible to say whether that’ll be today or not.

I read last night than sainsburys are known for evap lines and I shouldn't trust them (obviously the photo I uploaded last night was a clear line) however, people have said on another group not to look at test past the time frame window and it will just be an evap line. When I've taken sainsburys tests before they have never come up hours later with a blue evap line....I'm sure lines like that are supposed to be grey ?

I can definitely see a line! I would restest in a few days with or without fmu. I read somewhere that testing at 11am is actually a good time....providing you don't drink gallons of water before 😆xx

@cooper96 congrats!! Definitely a line, I'd test again with an frer or test again tomorrow with a standard one to confirm. As others are saying the HCG should increase quite quickly so you should be able to tell very soon!

I took another test today with FMU and expected to see a darker line than yesterday but now I’m doubtful. The line was slightly lighter and although it came up in the window I really thought at 11dpo with FMU it would be much darker than 10dpo 3rd wee

I’ve just done a side by side comparison and it is actually slightly darker.
I’m worried it’s a chemical. I will buy a frer tomorrow.

@kona84 the bottom one definitely looks darker to me, I also heard that the colour of the line can depend on the dye in the test but any faint line should be taken as a positive and they are definitely two lines faint as they may be! Let us know what the frer shows tomorrow, keeping everything crossed for you!! xx

Yep bottom looks darker to me too.

I didn't track ovulation via strips or temp only via an app but I have been entering my cycles for 12 months + and DTD 6 days in a row around the time it predicted which was 27th January but again could be either side of that. If it's accurate then I'm around 11 days DPO. The test are "one step" and got 50 for under a fiver so to be honest I wasn't expecting anything until at least after I was late AF? The faint line come up within 2 mins so doubtful it's an evap but also not convinced it's a positive! So stressful 🤣 I'm going to try and get a first response / clear blue today and do it in the morning xx

I’m optimistic for you @cooper96, it definitely doesn’t sound like an evap line!

I’ve gone on a chocolate rampage this morning which is a sure sign AF is on her way 🙄
