It's blowing my mind how some people's FRERs can be so different at different days PO. Like 10DPO and you thought it was bfn! And that IC I actually think was the biggest giveaway and they aren't even meant to be as sensitive! I think it's putting me off testing until 12dpo like @PowerOfFlowers so I don't get prematurely disappointed or have line eyes 😬
Do you have any more frers left so you can see the progression in darkness tomorrow?

@AMS19 Oh I love the idea of a whatsapp at some point to all keep in touch! It will be weird seeing each other's names and faces and not our usernames 😂 it's been such a journey already!

That's good to hear about the ectopic and getting cramps I'll try not to panic too much.

I never even thought about a private scan or where to even get one. Is there like a company that does them or just the hospital but you pay? If OH wasn't alllowed to the appointment we would definitely consider it. Also what's a dating scan I've heard you talk about those? Is that if you don't have a period before getting a BFP? I'm honestly clueless about everything.

Also my last AF started the 28th Dec for 4 days would that put me at 4 weeks on Monday?

I've just been watching newborn essentials videos on YouTube and I can tell you know I will be BROKE by the end of this 🤣 I'm kidding but there is so much I want already I think I'm getting a little ahead of myself haha

@Dex1521 the dating scan is what the 12wk NHS scan also gets called.

What's your due date by the way? Sometime in October?

Yeh you can get a private scan. Mine was £75, but I think this was on the expensive side. I bet there would be a few clinics to choose from round you, there is only 1 here in Carlisle. I had mine early Dec and partners were allowed but it might depend now on each clinic's policy? After 6wks is best, the clinic I went do won't scan you until 7wks.

Ohhhh @Dex1521 this is amazing!! That frer is looking good! That's like my first frer bfp.. you are pregnant girl ☘️☘️💛💛 congrats!!! And the fact your getting a noticeable line on an IV at this stage too 👌👌
I got my 12 weeks scan appointment through today 🙊 9th March! Xx

@Dex1521 lots of places do private scans if you google early pregnancy scans and then your postcode I'm sure loads will come up! Make sure to check the reviews though. They aren't cheap, but if you're generally a worrier (like me) I can't tell you how much reassurance it gave me to see everything was ok! It's honestly the longest 12 weeks of your life waiting for the first scan!

yep, 4 weeks on Monday. You might not want to yet esp if you're still being cautious until AF date, but when you're ready I'd recommend the what to expect app which tells you what the little tiny bean is doing each week. I find it fascinating!

@Emmgrem I've got everything crossed for you I hope this is your month too! I would deffo recommend not testing at 10dpo mine was definitely a BFN. Definitely the IC is a big giveaway I was so surprised seeing it as a BFP this early if you want some I got them on Amazon a box of 20 premom tests

I was also thinking that and wondering what's looked like. I call you Emma cause of emm and @jessi60 Jess because it looks obvious but those could be complete decoys 😂 mines Dex as my cat is called Dexter 🤣

@GreenApplesYo think I've done every dating calculator on the interest and all come in as the 3rd or 4th October. What's your due date btw and all the other grads due dates?

@Foxl2222 thank you! that's so exciting Abkut getting your date for a scan, I feel like I've so much to look forward to (and not so much with the symptoms 🤣). Gonna try and eat such a good diet between now and until I get any symptoms Incase I end up on the beige food diet too haha

@Bells20 yeah gonna research some as I'm definitely intrigued. Might break up the 12 week wait haha. Oo that's good thanks I'll definitely download that app next week once I get past the AF hurdle 😂

Did anyone else experience shooting pains around 4DPO? I've no idea what it is I reallyyy hope it's not AF this early! I'm hoping not with my high temp this morning xxx

@Dex1521 my due date is 8th July. I think that's a nice birthday.

My next scan is 23rd Feb, should be able to find out if they're a boy or girl 🙂 too impatient to wait. What will the other grads do?

@DrS44 seems unlikely at 4dpo 🙂fingers crossed is isn't. Would you usually get shooting pains with AF?

Also @GreenApplesYo I'm booked for a reassurance scan on 5th Feb and if all goes well, Harmony test on the 8th - the Harmony test should be able to tell the gender of the baby then. Would get results of that about a week later then 12-week scan a week after that.

Would quite like 5th Feb to roll around so we're out of the limbo wait a bit but also don't want to wish away my week off work next week!

@DrS44 I had no symptoms for ages but I did have shooting pain around 8-9dpo so don't rule yourself out yet. I've every hope for you. Also I had the weirdest symptoms like I have a mouth ulcer and I got that cyst and cold symptoms today. Not the usual ones 😂

@GreenApplesYo aw that is a really nice date and we wanna find out the gender too for reasons such as I need to prepare for whichever I couldn't relax knowing I could know and didn't find out I'm just that type of person 😂 it's a blessing just to see that BFP today but I've always wanted a little girl but both me and my mym have always said all I can see myself with is boys 😂

@CardioQueen oh that's interesting about the harmony test. I think they're a good idea, seems a shame they're not offered as standard. Not in the UK anyway? But great to know of any issues like Downs before the 12wk mark. Hehe you might know before me then if yours is a boy/girl.

Yes @GreenApplesYo it's because a couple of the things they test for are gender specific I believe (like Turner's Syndrome) - so they have to determine sex.

They aren't included here but I do think they're a bit cheaper than the UK (a second thing!) - about £200. That's not an unusual amount for us to spend on something healthcare related as not everything is free here. It's less than the two of us going to the dentist for a 6 month check up 🙈 so we have the money put aside. But I only want to know the gender if the testing is low-risk as that's the main thing I want to focus on.

I would choose a boy for my first if I had a choice but I think it's a girl!

Ahh so exciting that you guys will know the sex soon! I'm deffo not going to find out! In my head I picture me with a girl😂
We're moving house soon, so nursery will prob be boring old grey until the arrival then will add a splash of colour🙊💙💗

@AMS19 hehe I am really curious... 🙂Would you say what you think I look like? Or would you prefer to keep it to yourself for now? I think I've spent more time visualising what people's houses are like. For some reason I imagine you have a big airy office room with a wood floor and plants in it. Hehe I bet you're about to tell me it's a corner of your bedroom now or your sitting room, like lots of people unexpectedly wfh this year. It's just for some reason when you've mentioned wfh that's what I've visualised.

We are just renting atm and moving in March to one we've bought so atm my home office is the spare room 😂 and will be either the conservatory or spare room in the new house. My OH uses the kitchen table lol
