Hi girls - looking for a little crew to share the ttc journey with - we are newbies this year - decided on Jan 31st to start trying after 12 years together! but had literally just missed my ovulation day for that cycle, so even though we had some fun over NY we are properly starting next cycle around the end of the month - just have to wait to finish this cycle now, and I've never wanted a period to come so quickly haha!

So - any cycle sisters out there who will be trying with me on or around end of Jan? I'm Cd21 right now.

And feel free to share stories and ages!

I'm 34 and have been off the pill for about 2 years now - we don't really use protection just pull out lol and never had a scare so I'm a little worried we could have a bit of a long journey. Although my mum conceived me first time trying so I'm praying it's in the genetics lol!

Not sure about you but I'm already getting obsessed which seems to be pretty normal lol but it would be good to have some pals to talk to rather than my cat or my husband, who I think I could quite quickly freak out if he knew just how many mum'snet threads I've read!

Also... What are you most looking forward to being pregnant?

CD5 here, really short AF so got started dtd again last night as I'm sure I ovulate really early with my cycles being a bit all over the place. Our plan is to dtd every other day until cd16 so lots of dtd 😂 so hard to always be in the mood just because it's 'time', especially in lockdown when your spending every waking minute together 😂 realistically this my first real cycle as last month we were a bit late but this is so consuming, any tips on how to stay relaxed and enjoy it? Lots of luck for lots of BFP in Feb 🥰

@KM11 Hey, I'm cycle day 10! And this is our 2nd month of trying, but first month using opk's. I find it hard to stay positive as it's all I think about most of the day! My OH doesn't get why I'm like that🤣 but this month he told me he's very confident that it's our time🤣

Hi guys kinda new to this never really been in discussion but this seems very open and I've been ttc for a year had a 4 week miscarriage last month but we stayed positive, today I'm 2 days over af and I've been testing since 4 days ago on the picture below the test at the end is this mornings test is line getting darker or fainter?

Hey @Zarawaqar786! BIG WELCOME! so sorry to hear about your MC last month. Glad you were able to stay positive - and this certainly seems positive! It looks like the most recent two lines are same level of darkness to me! Are all of these tests from the last 4 days? Exciting!!!

@KM11 welcome too! Sounds like you're exactly the same as me too - we were a bit late to realistically try last cycle so this time is first real try! I keep dreaming about it and am at the edge of annoying my husband talking about it now lol. I just wanna talk about everything! And tell people!

• how's the opk going? I started yesterday and seem to be going ok so far. Aim to start DTD on Tuesday - maybe everyday until we get too tired and maybe do every other day if we can't keep it up lol!

I've never been so excited to keep an eye out for ewcm - really hoping it makes an appearance as seems to me a very reliable way of your body signalling it's DTD time!!!

I'm trying to stay positive too - Im a but superstitious and keep seeing and hearing things about people trying for a baby for years and I try to turn it over as if it's a sign lol. I know it's silly and I'm just noticing because it's relevant to my life now but it shows I'm a little worried obviously! Don't want to get my hopes up it'll happen this month as realistically it could take a few x

@Hallie91 how did ovulation tracking go - did your tests ever turn up in time? How many dpo are you now? Fingers crossed for you!

Hey @Wondergirl1111 thank you for the reassurance! and yes the past 4 days still feeling nervous to do a clearblue digital test when do you think is the best time ?

Looks like I had a BFP this morning, right?
Will take my last early response tomorrow morning and maybe a normal test?

@Zarawaqar786 if you are past your AF due date I assume you are good to go with a clear blue test?

@Wondergirl1111 Hey still no smiley faces on opk and I'm on cd12! Been DTD for the last few days just incase🤷🏻‍♀️

@ttcSam!!!!!!!!!!! This looks like a BIG FAT BFP to me!!!! Wowowow congratulations! Yes defo take the early response tomorrow morn and send us a snap but that's a DEFINITE LINE! WHOOO! Its just started snowing where I am, this all feels magical!

@Zarawaqar786 I agree - two days late and 4 tests getting stronger lines - I agree with @ttcsam - why not give clear blue a go! For everything crossed for you XXX

@aims1991 gahh - is it just showing the circle everyday? I must admit I'm not having high hopes for these tests based on what others have experienced but I guess it's just a guide! If you have been DTD then you must be covered! X

@Wondergirl1111 yeah just a circle! My OH was very positive about this month so hopefully he's right 🤣

@ttcSam how are you feeling? I feel like I've daydreamed about the moment you're having so many times..! Apps saying I'm 6days away from ovulation but I think I ovulated a bit earlier than app predicted last month so I better get to it!

@Aims1991 yes just circles circles circles. Hoping for a smiley face for you (and me!) Soon!

@Wondergirl1111 Yeah it's very frustrating, but I still have mild cramps and pains in my right side of stomach. So annoying 🙄

Hi again @Wondergirl1111 . I am so glad I used the opks in the end, I think they’ll make a difference for you. My cycle is quite short (26 on average) so I thought I would ovulate earlier than my app said so started dtd on cd9, but didn’t get smiley until cd15 and I would have definitely gave up by then and assumed I would have ovulated. I think the first 5 days of dtd were a complete waste and far too early but you live and learn hey! Big flop night was on cd14 and then did it night of smiley for the last hurrah.
I feel fine tbh, thank you for asking. Still trying to stay realistic as it is just the first of many pregnancy related hurdles, but positive thoughts.
How old are you by the way? Which opks are you using? Also how long is your cycle usually?

@Aims1991 I hope the above might reassure you a bit, it could still be afew more days until that smiley appears. How long is your cycle usually?

@ttcSam my cycles are usually 28 days exactly but this month was the first time in 3/4 years I was 4 days late, but I have not been feeling right since af and it wasn't as heavy either and even tampons hurt 🤷🏻‍♀️
Fingers crossed the next few days I get a smiley face? I have been DTD just about every day anyway🤣

Ovulation day today tracked using BBT and LH Tests & 2nd cycle trying! Had a MC in May but decided in October to start trying properly! Me and my fiancé are both 24, we were meant to be getting married this August but postponing to August 2022 now & TTC before the wedding!

Ah ladies just been reading this thread and you seem so friendly and positive - mind if I join?

First cycle TTC no 1 for me - I think I ovulated today (or will tonight) as used clearblue OPKs and had 'peak' yesterday, we DTD last 3 days so feeling in a great mood haha but slightly nervous entering this first TWW. Already found myself googling 'how to help implantion' which is ridiculous I know, someone needs to take my phone away! But if I do find it helpful to chat to other women going through same thing and hopefully I'm not the only one who's been a bit consumed by first month trying - hoping I'll be more chilled out next month but tbh I'm just so excited! Peeing on a OPK has got old already though, glad to not have to do that for a few weeks now. I seem to have a fairly regular 28day cycle, ovulate CD16 (based on last two cycles anyway, came off pill start if Nov). Last month we didn't try as I we were staying with family.

Anyone else similar place in cycle? Good luck all and have a great week xxx

Ooh hello all - we're newly starting ttc this month as well.

I came off the pill in October and have been cycle tracking since - my cycle has been 23/24 days, which balances well with what I was like pre pill. I'm 33, he's 28 - month one and I've just used a few apps for fertile window (although a few predicting differently 🙈) and checked CM, although still getting used to that!

My body has been playing horrible tricks on me: I've been nauseous all week which isn't usually a pre-menstrual sign for me alongside sore boobs (which are but it's been for longer than usual). I've had a BFN though, and boobs have calmed but nausea unhelpfully sticking around which feels a bit unfair given BFN 🤣 so just waiting for AF to rock up now, likely tomorrow at CD24.

Thinking next month we might just try to DTD every two days post AF so we have all bases covered.

@ttcSam, thanks for sharing as I have a short cycle and would probably have give up dtd from my 'ovulation day', which I presumed would be quite early. I'll keep going longer this month and 🤞 for a BFP for lots of us this cycle ❤️

@trackiesandasmokeyeye have you any idea what cycle day you ovulate?

@KM11 in short not exactly - apps suggest CD11/12, had EWCM CD8 to CD10 which seems to fit roughly with that but not sure on anything more specific than that.

Hi all! We just started TTC this month too so I’ve been reading along and thought I’d say hi 👋🏼

I am 31 and have PCOS, my doctor has booked me in for some blood tests to see if my hormones are ok. I was having a regular cycle until starting folic acid a few months ago, since then I’ve had a 37 day cycle and a 22 day one 🤔 Wasn’t very on the ball this month with OPKs but will try to be next month if no good news. Although I am currently having cramps and am 10 days away from my period so have convinced myself it’s implantation?!! So hard to not get too hopeful isn’t it! I’ve already designed the nursery and am looking at breastfeeding tops 🙄
