Hey @Kirby173 hope your well. I can maybe see a little hint of a line so 🤞🏻 for you!! I'm feeling good thanks - just nauseous at night when I finally lie down to chill 🙈 hopefully that passes soon.

This afternoon we were told (I'm from Scotland) that we are in national lockdown until 1st Feb 🥺 so that's put a dampener on my mood.
I'm hoping it's lifted slightly then as it's my sisters wedding on 13th Feb so hoping that will go ahead.
I booked an early scan for that week so I know for definite for the wedding but now they are thinking on postponing it until end of 2022 so don't know what to think!!xx

AKcheer · 04/01/2021 20:53

Hey @Kirby173 I’m ok. I feel like I wasn’t but I am now. I’ve also been meditating which has helped! Also can’t believe how a blood test doesn’t hurt. I was scared because I haven’t had one for ages but all good lol.

God I just stares at your pic!! I think I can see a line!! Fingers crossed for you!! Can you get more FRERs?? Ahhh I really hope it is a line!! How exciting!!

Guys lockdown is here again LOL

Kirby173 · 04/01/2021 22:28

Hi @Lynne425 aww bless you! We are in lockdown too it got announced earlier 😩 I hope the nausea passes for you but honestly so chuffed for you I bet you’re thrilled!! I really hope the wedding can still go ahead for you 🤞🤞🤞

@AKcheer yeah I think when you get AF or a BFN it’s horrible and you feel down the days around that but then you tend to pick up. I’m hoping you feel better soon but it sucks so much I’m so sorry 😩 so good you have started meditation honestly I think especially with lockdown we need to take care of our mental healthy more than ever!

I am unsure about this line I see it on and off so unsure if I’m tricking myself 😂 I told my husband and we’re off to get more tests tomorrow but don’t think my Sainsbury’s sell FRER just CB and their own ones. We will see but wish I could test tomorrow morning too! I’ve only got the rubbish ones that come with Premom OPKs. I will keep you guys posted xx

Louisa199 · 05/01/2021 03:36

@Kirby173 9DPO may be still early. I usually use the cheapies HCG test day by day from 10DPO and if the test line gets more obvious, I will use FERE or CB to double confirm.

KerryW87 · 05/01/2021 04:39

Can I join please? Now onto month 6 of TTC, month 15 since we initially started but fell pregnant in April last year and sadly lost our wee boy at 18 weeks, born in July.

Currently on CD10, trying SMEP and Preseed and hoping it works. Hope you're all doing ok and this month is your month 🤞 x

AKcheer · 05/01/2021 09:57

@Kirby173 you’re so right! Especially that first hour of AF lol! It’s the worst!! Thank you! And yes with gyms closed I need to focus energy into something else! Ahh hope you get more tests and keep us updated. If you have Amazon prime they are usually on there xx

Hey @KerryW87 welcome and how are you! I’m so sorry to hear about your loss :(. It must have been so hard for you. It’s just so sad. When do you usually ovulate and how you finding pre seed?
Thank you :) I’m on day 4 of AF currently and then I can restart!!

Rose2108 · 05/01/2021 11:20

OMG @Kirby173!! So exciting, So I didn't see anything on my PC but I opened it in my phone and zoomed in and I can see a squinter there! OMG the wait is too much isn't it, hopefully you will get hold of some more tests soon. I defo think the boobs is a sign, so many people have said that was an early indicator for them. Ohhhh I am keeping everything crossed for you, please keep us posted!

@Lynne425 we were not far behind you on the lockdown... I think Bojo just copies what NS says a few hours later lol. At least you can rest up in your early pregnancy, hoping your sister gets her wedding in Feb. Have you worked out what your due date will be?

@AKcheer I have tried meditating but I fall asleep every time! I have been loving audible, listening to lots of books to wind down or go for a walk. I listened to one called The Foundling, it was so good! Like a period drama with a bit of a mystery! We have been cooking sooo much, ordered a load of raw fish to make some proper sushi this weekend! I also knit now... Hi, I am 75.

I just got a fitbit for xmas so have been logging all my calories and stuff and trying to do at least 7,000 steps a day. When I am working in real life I do about 12,000! But not happening quite so much in the depths of winter and lockdown lol.

Hey @KerryW87 of course! Oh I am so sorry to hear about your loss, can't imagine how hard that is. I have read about the SMEP plan! Might give it a go, my app says I am in the fertile window but the CB OPK is saying no way. We will start to DTD every other day tonight anyway. I am CD 10 at the moment, and I seem to ovulate about CD 17/18. Nice to have you on board x

Lynne425 · 05/01/2021 11:26

Welcome @KerryW87 sorry for your loss but 🤞🏻🤞🏻 for a positive story in 2021 for you 💕

@Rose2108 going by the NHS website it should be around 14th September. Just called to make my booking appointment this morning so waiting on that coming through and the journey begins xx

Kirby173 · 05/01/2021 11:31

Morning! I’ve done an internet cheapie this morning and I see a line! I’m off to the shop after work for better tests but let me know what you think! Xx

KerryW87 · 05/01/2021 11:39

@AKcheer Aw thank you, nice to talk to others in the same boat! :) Thank you, it's been really tough. I was lucky to have spent the day with him, but still feels surreal at times that it happened. Anyway, got to try and stay positive and really hoping it happens again for us 🤞 Well, I had a few odd cycles where I was getting positive OPK on day 11, but the past two cycles it's been on day 13 so fairly average length cycles really! I'm on day 10 just now, just wishing time away like I do every month, haha. Very Groundhog Day, isn't it?
We've used Preseed the past few cycles, no luck yet but don't have any issues with it so figure it's better to use it just incase!

Ah hoping it flies past until you can try again then! ❤️ How long have you been TTC? xx

KerryW87 · 05/01/2021 11:43

@Rose2108 Ah thank you ❤️ Nothing else for it but to keep going and hope for a happier 2021. Nothing will replace my wee boy, but counselling is helping and it's shown us how sorely we wanted a wee baby in the family again so fingers crossed 🤞

Ah I'm CD10 too! Yep, figure it's worth a shot and I've read a lot of success stories about it, it's our first cycle sticking to it so here's hoping it works! DTD every other night is the guts of the plan anyway so I hope it works for you! Ah I could never get the CB monitors to work for me, glad they work for you! :) Will keep my fingers crossed for you! x

KerryW87 · 05/01/2021 11:44

@Kirby173 Oh wow, think congrats are in order! How exciting 💕

KerryW87 · 05/01/2021 12:10

@Lynne425 Congratulations! 💕 Exciting news, also you're the first person I've heard talk about the pineapple core thing...I think I'll give that a go after I ovulate this cycle! Why the hell not, I'm trying everything else! 😂

AKcheer · 05/01/2021 13:32

@Rose2108 hahaha I love it! It just makes me so relaxed!! Oh really? Il check that book out. I don’t know why but I’m still one of these people that like to have a physical book or read on my phone/kindle lol. I’m currently reading the book disloyal which is the one from Michal Cohen (trumps former attorney) and all the crap trump did. It’s interesting. Omg sushi! Love sushi you’ll have to let us know how it turns out. Lol to the knitting bit this is the perfect weather to knit a nice woolly hat!! Aww that’s a good idea. I’m doing a 6 week programme at home now for fitness. I’m such a gym bunny but the amount of cheese and choc I’ve ate over Xmas I need to recondition my body lol.

@Kirby173 100% a line!!!! Congrats girl!!!!

@KerryW87 I can’t even imagine how it felt. But you’re right, need to be positive and really focus!! Ahh that sounds like mine, mines usually around 11-13 too! Yeah I know - that 2 week wait is a killer!!! I’m on cycle 7 now so i felt so deflated because I felt like I past the 6 month mark!!

OP posts:
JLP256 · 05/01/2021 13:48

Ahh congratulations @Kirby173 that is definitely a line!! How exciting!

Hi @KerryW87 glad you have joined the thread :) so sorry to hear about your loss. I have used Preseed on and off for the past few months, no luck for me yet but have heard good things. I hope this month is lucky for you x

Lynne425 · 05/01/2021 18:01

Aww congratulations @Kirby173 that's a definite line there 💗 xx

Rose2108 · 06/01/2021 10:05

@Kirby173 That is a BFP for sure! Ah I bet you are so happy, especially after your worries last month with your strange bleed etc. A little Christmas pud! Congrats again, so nice and reassuring to hear positive stories after all the worrying we do...

I had a good word with myself last night and I actually feel better this morning, I was running away in my mind about not getting there yet and picturing a childless life (so dramatic), but then I thought I am only 6 months in, still young, regular periods, snap out of it!! I didn't do the CB OPK I genuinely forgot this morning, but will do it again tomorrow and assume I will get the flashing one (based on last month). I said to my husband I feel like this lockdown, as stressful and boring as it is, is our chance to really try and do it properly, cutting down on booze etc (without having to make excuses). So trying to see the positives!

@KerryW87 I can imagine, but when you do get your BFP it will make it all the more special :) I do worry with the SMEP plan how my husband would get on with it! Every other day knackers him out, but I might suggest adding one more day in this weekend lol. So you are thinking ovulation day 11 - 13? I think I am day 16 - 18! Wonder why mine is so late. I don't reckon it will be until one day next week but I know you just can't be sure so best to cover all basis isn't it.

Haha @AKcheer I know what you mean; I usually have one proper book and one audible on the go! But I am usually so busy walking or doing DIY or gardening I get totally lost into audio books! I think my dad is reading that actually, he said it was good too!

P.s bought a pineapple last night! lol x

KerryW87 · 06/01/2021 13:12

@AKcheer Aw I totally get it ❤️ We took 5 months to conceive our wee boy so I felt really deflated once we moved on to cycle 6! It feels like a lifetime when you're trying but the odds are still SO in your favour! You're doing everything right and so we've got to keep positive that it'll happen soon! ❤️ How you feeling today? xxx

@Rose2108 Aw thank you, it sure will. My eldest son (11) had asked for a baby brother or sister for a year or so before we actually fell pregnant and he was so over the moon, so he's taken it really sorely and is still grieving I feel. He asks often when he thinks we'll have another baby so I definitely feel so invested in it for him as well as us. So really trying to just keep positive and also try every trick in the book 😂

Yeah, tends to be the case so far but I've only been tracking the past four cycles so far! Aw definitely, better to cover the bases anyway - it can't hurt!

Also, it's totally understandable to have those down days. I did last time and I get them this time too. It can feel like a lifetime even though, realistically, it's well within the normal timeframes. You got yourself out of it though and you're totally right - this could be a great opportunity to focus on it during lockdown! I have everything crossed for you ❤️

AKcheer · 06/01/2021 20:59

@Rose2108 I’ve really got into reading lately but I mean what else is there to do. How was your day today? I’ve added a pineapple to my shopping list too!!

@KerryW87 I literally love your positivity! I’m so glad you joined this thread!!! I can imagine !! Yes you are so right! Odds in my favour and need to stay positive! I’m ok thanks, tired now. Worked out yesterday at home and I’m now aching lol. How are you?

Guys what vitamins or trying to conceive pills are you taking? Seven seas? Pregnacare? Just folic?

OP posts:
KerryW87 · 06/01/2021 22:39

@AKcheer Aww that's a lovely thing to say! ❤️ I'm glad I found this thread, it's really nice having people to talk to who know what it's like!

Haha oh man you put me to SHAME...I just had a Chinese 😂🙈 Well done on the working out! I'm ok too thanks, first day back at work and a ton of uni work to get through...hopefully these will be good distractions once I'm in the TWW, haha.

Last time I took Pregnacare, now I'm just taking all the prenatal vitamins I got from the hospital from when I was pregnant but when they run out I'll probably go back to Pregnacare. Think anything with folic acid will be helpful though!

JLP256 · 07/01/2021 09:52

@AKcheer I’ve been taking seven seas for a few months and haven’t had any issues with them. I took pregnacare for two months and my cycles were a week longer than usual both months...definitely could’ve been a coincidence though!

Are you taking anything?

AKcheer · 07/01/2021 11:45

Morning all! Right no more AF so I’m back in the game!!

@KerryW87 100%! It can get really lonely can’t it. Hahaha love a Chinese!! I actually had a hot chocolate from costa yesterday so not great lol! Ooh sounds like you’ve got plenty of work to do and keep you busy!!
Ahh ok, I used pregnacare previously but they didn’t sit right with me. Trying the seven seas one now!

@JLP256 Ahh so I started off taking pregnacare but my cycles were weird and my period was weird. They ended up being longer which scared me. For the past few months I’ve just been taking folic acid but today I’ve started taking the seven seas ones. They seem lesser in dose than pregnacare and seem more to what nhs recommends which is good. I also take vitamin c and then after AF I take evening primrose to ovulation day.
Hopefully seven seas will agree with me and be ok!

Morning ladies I hope everyone’s okay. Got a CB digital and tested last night and it’s flashed up positive so it’s official! Had some bleeding this morning but I think this is in line with what I mentioned before so I’m not overly concerned.

I really hope you ladies get your BFPs soon! I’m going to stalk the thread to see 👀🤞

Good luck everyone xxx

KerryW87 · 07/01/2021 12:33

@AKcheer Ahh that's crazy, I hadn't heard of Pregnacare causing any issues but now you and @JLP256 have said that it does make me wonder! Also seconding the other reply, I also take Omega 3 fish oil up to ovulation!

Oh man, I miss a wee Costa hot chocolate! I'm on the bus home from work and now having to fight the urge to get off two stops earlier to get myself one...although it could be a wee treat to get me through my likely 12 hour essay writing sesh 😂😫

Also buzzing for you that you're back in the game, haha. It does totally improve your mood with it when you're at the stage to do something about it! Gives me a wee renewed boost of motivation each cycle, haha x

KerryW87 · 07/01/2021 14:39

Also, do you think this is aaaalmost a positive OPK? Or not? I'm going to test again after another 4 hour break, hopefully it's darker but if not I wonder if I should count it as one...we're following SMEP so it's supposed to be DTD 3 nights in a row after a positive OPK! x
