@Rotagilla I put the bloating down to just being pregnant but as soon as I stopped the progesterone I felt so much better! I have to take my aspirin right until birth apparently. So pleased for you 😊

@MrsB2019x so pleased you are feeling better 😊. Hopefully we'll be able to get into the shops to do some shopping at some point soon! 🤞🏻

MrsB2019x · 01/03/2021 22:11

@SS123456 I CANNOT wait, I am itching to go do some shopping 😂 got a private scan tomorrow so hoping to find out gender so I can make a start!

Sansa87 · 01/03/2021 23:03

Managed to walk 50km last week, which I think helped me mentally. Im still going to mention it at 31 week appointment this Friday.

Every so often I think I’m far too young to be having my first baby, then remember I’m 34 in June.

Bumpy looked good this evening tbough. My face, legs, & hands are unrecognisable where they’re so puffy and huge, and the insomnia has gotten bad again, but I did like bump.

I made through our original due date too, so getting over that hurdle helped.

MrsB2019x · 02/03/2021 06:20

@Sansa87 You look amazing! Well done for walking 50k, I haven’t walked that much this entire pregnancy 🙈

SS123456 · 02/03/2021 07:39

@MrsB2019x ooo exciting, keep us posted! Do you have a preference? I am desperate to have a private scan at 16 weeks to find out too but my OH wants to wait until the 20 week scan 🙈

@Sansa87 well done! I'm barely moving at all at the moment!

OP posts:
MrsB2019x · 02/03/2021 08:13

@SS123456 So did mine but he caved 😂 I don’t have a preference but I think it’s a girl based on the skull. DH thinks it’s a boy purely because he thinks all these theories are full of shit and he’s going the other way to be stubborn 😂

SS123456 · 02/03/2021 08:23

@MrsB2019x lol men 😂. Maybe I'll keep pushing my OH on it then 🤞🏻. Let us know how you get on 😁. I'm so desperate for a girl so I just know it will be a boy!

OP posts:
MrsB2019x · 02/03/2021 09:31

@SS123456 Or just book it 👀😂

kirinm · 02/03/2021 09:52
@kirinm AF arrived yesterday so onto next month... Feeling pretty deflated (and another pregnancy announcement from a friend this week) but it is what it is! Need to get an appt with the doctor's because they agreed to do some tests if we weren't pregnant by this month as it's a year since I had the methotrexate for my ectopic now x
Sorry to hear that. It has been a year for us now, too. I hope you're able to get some help.

Me and DP are trying to get our flat together in order to put it on the market and at the weekend we realised how much baby stuff we've kept "just in case". I have said that if there is no pregnancy in the next 6 months, we will pass it on to someone else. I think I'm going to try and spend the next few months trying to detach a little bit more each month from this process.

I'm pleased I didn't do any OPKs this month but it is hard not to try and work out what DPO you are. Hopefully it'll get easier as time goes on.

Sansa87 · 02/03/2021 14:56

@SS123456 you must get a 16 week scan! It was such an amazing experience. I got a heart beat teddy at that appointment too. Window to the womb did the package where we could keep the whole video of the scan, so we watched lots of times!

@MrsB2019x I cant remember what I guessed for you now!

MrsB2019x · 02/03/2021 17:16

@Sansa87 I think you guessed girl for me as well, everybody on MN and the FB group have said girl 😂 only my Mum, DH and manager think boy. Will update soon! Scan is at 5:50 ☺️

Sansa87 · 02/03/2021 19:00

Hope everything went well @MrsB2019x ❤️

MrsB2019x · 02/03/2021 20:23

Aww thank you everything was great. We are having a girl! 💖
She was sat on her legs almost the entire time so I had to wiggle and jump around a LOT to get her to move 😂

kirinm · 03/03/2021 07:17

Congratulations @MrsB2019x 🥰

SS123456 · 03/03/2021 07:45

Ah amazing news @MrsB2019x , congratulations 😁🥳

The fact that people on the guessing thread all guessed girl for you and got it right is making me super nervous as they all said boy for me. I feel awful saying it but I will be genuinely gutted if I'm having a boy as OHs family have a history of special needs running through the boys in their family

OP posts:
MrsB2019x · 03/03/2021 10:03

Thank you both 🥰

@SS123456 I understand that, I guess that although there is an increased risk, it’s not certain that yours would have any additional needs. That and it may be a girl anyway! Skull/nub theory isn’t an exact science ☺️ Do you feel similar to when you were pregnant with your DS?

SS123456 · 03/03/2021 11:39

@MrsB2019x fingers crossed! There are 3 boy grandchildren on my OHs side (including his son from a previous relationship) and they all have special needs so I'll be devastated. As dramatic as it sounds it will ruin the pregnancy for me. We are having a horrific time with OHs 9 year old son at the moment (punching, kicking, swearing, abusing our family and home) and I don't think I could face having to deal with the same with another child

Do you have any names lined up? 😊

OP posts:
SS123456 · 03/03/2021 11:40

@MrsB2019x My morning sickness has been better compared to my pregnancy with DS so I'll pin my hopes on that meaning it's a girl for now 🤞🏻

OP posts:
Sansa87 · 03/03/2021 15:50

@SS123456 I had mixed guesses on our scan. Apparently if it’s before 12+4 it’s easy to guess. I think we had mainly boy guesses, or girl with time to rise. Was very surprised to see it was a girl.

Sansa87 · 03/03/2021 15:51

@SS123456 sorry, if it’s before 12+4 it’s not easy to guess.

SS123456 · 03/03/2021 17:35

Thanks @Sansa87 . My scan was 12+1 so still some hope 🤞🏻

OP posts:
whambam89 · 04/03/2021 08:35

@MrsB2019x ah congratulations! Girls are lovely 🥰 (but very sassy 😂)

@SS123456 everything crossed for a girl for you too 🤞 I was desperate for a girl with my DD and know I would have been a little disappointed if she'd been a boy and there's absolutely nothing wrong with feeling that way!

@kirinm how are you getting on? I've gone a bit psycho for the month ahead... CB digital opks (again!), Maca root capsules, pregnacare for him and her, pomegranate juice, Brazil nuts, pineapple core 😂 can you tell I'm getting desperate?! Although if on the off chance I got pregnant this month then my due date would be December 6th and DD's birthday is 1st Dec 🙈

@sansa87 your bump is lovely! ❤️

kirinm · 04/03/2021 10:06

@whambam89 I'm okay thanks. I am either 8, 9 or 10dpo (or haven't ovulated) I'm really not sure. I am not having the same level of aches and pains and nausea I had last month which is a relief. I was quite worried those were my standard PMS symptoms now and they made me feel rough.

I actually don't mind if I'm not pregnant this month. I'm trying to get fitter and healthier generally and I could do with another month to get some consistency!

I think I'm done with OPKs etc. I take folic acid as I am on medication that strips your natural folate levels, I'm trying to eat more veg and exercise and with everything else going on in my life, that is about the limit of changes I'm prepared to make. I'm 43 tomorrow so I know my chances are diminishing every day but I think (THINK) I'm sort of coming to terms with the inevitable. Think / hope / trying!

MrsB2019x · 04/03/2021 10:13

@SS123456 Do you think it may be worth booking a gender scan around 16 weeks to find out? If it is a boy it will give you a bit more time to process your emotions around it

@whambam89 Thank you! Girls are definitely a handful so will look forward to that 🙈 sounds like you’re well on it for TTC! I think the Wellman capsules might have done it for us, we fell about 6 weeks after DH started taking them
