Went out and bought more tests on my lunch break cos I didn’t quite believe it (wanted FRER but they had sold out 🙄). Gonna box these up and put them under the tree for when DH gets home tonight 🥰

@MrsB2019x we've been taking 6 supplements individually because I wanted the as many mg of each as possible. Normally with the fertility ones they contain similar vitamins but in smaller quantity being in 1 tablet. OH has been very good about it. He's just as eager to conceive so he takes all the supplements daily without complaint. I want to organise another SA For him as it would be interesting to see if it has made any improvement to his morphology.

How exciting about your tests! No denying it now! I'm so pleased for you. I'm 31 and I've never had a positive test in my life. The day I get one I think I may fall down in shock I'm so used to seeing the bfns now! I wish you a very happy and healthy 9 months what a perfect Christmas gift you've had after a sh*tty year! ✨

MrsB2019x · 08/12/2020 15:54

Thank you so much @Unicornsparklez 🥰 That’s a good way to do it actually, I just thought it’d be better to have it done in one tablet 😂 it’s massive though! I really hope you get your BFP soon xx

Sansa87 · 08/12/2020 15:55

@MrsB2019x I wish I could see MrB’s face 😍

I feel like this thread is going to be super lucky! We are only on page 3!

OH went out and got me a full fat coke after he finished work. I’ve gone off all coffee, but drinking decaff tea.

I’m looking forward to all the decaff, brie, & steak next year.

MrsB2019x · 08/12/2020 16:32

Oh fuck I forgot about steak @Sansa87! I did think about Camembert earlier, remembered it’s fine when baked and all was right with the world again 😂

Unicornsparklez · 08/12/2020 16:49

The thought of not being able to have Camembert at Christmas time sounds heartbreaking 😂 I've never read up on the dos and donts of eating as never had the fortune of the BFP but thank goodness you can have it baked 😂

kirinm · 08/12/2020 16:52

@MrsB2019x

Oh fuck I forgot about steak *@Sansa87*! I did think about Camembert earlier, remembered it’s fine when baked and all was right with the world again 😂
You can eat steak! Just not bloody.
Sansa87 · 08/12/2020 16:53

@MrsB2019x yeah, it’s awful when you realise exactly what you have to give up. I can’t even bring myself to attempt Camembert after talking to the midwife and her saying I have to be 100% sure it’s cooked 😂😅

Sansa87 · 08/12/2020 16:54

@kirinm it’s the only way to have steak! 😍😩

MrsB2019x · 08/12/2020 17:09
@kirinm it’s the only way to have steak! 😍😩
True that!! DH is an ex-chef and I think serving up a well done steak might make him die a little inside 😂 Worth it though!

pizzaandcats · 08/12/2020 17:24

Can I join please? TTC on and off for years but more seriously for the last 12 months. I've been referred to the fertility clinic (appointment end of March) but seriously hoping not to have to use it!!

Sansa87 · 08/12/2020 17:24

@MrsB2019x The MIL cooked me a well done rib eye back in September. It was awful 😩

I keep reminding myself I’m extremely lucky and have wanted this for over 10 years but my god why can’t it be fruit I’m not allowed 😂

whambam89 · 08/12/2020 20:21

@MrsB2019x how did Mr B react?!

whambam89 · 08/12/2020 20:22

@pizzaandcats @unicornsparklez hi both and welcome! Sorry to hear you've both had a tough time TTC as well 😞

AF has turned up for me today so onto month 15 / cycle 8 since ectopic

pizzaandcats · 08/12/2020 20:50

@whambam89 thank you 😊 I'm just past AF but have long cycles (anywhere between 35-50 days) so will be in the new year before I can test again now!
Just been having a read through and I'm wondering if I should be taking more supplements? I just take an asda multivitamin at the moment that is for conception and pregnancy

MrsB2019x · 08/12/2020 20:55

Oh no @whambam89 Sorry AF has arrived 😭

Mr B was quite speechless before it fully hit then he practically tackled me onto the sofa to hug me 😂 he has said since then he is quite scared because of the ectopic 😔 I think he is excited but he’s trying not to show it in case it’s bad news again iykwim?

Sansa87 · 08/12/2020 21:02

I’m so sorry @whambam89 😢

Understandable @MrsB2019x I’m still not letting myself get excited. Every milestone we get by, I come up with a new one. At the moment it’s the 20 week scan next week. Nothing like the June pregnancy. I can’t even bring myself to do the pregnancy journal I bought last time.

I’m so happy for you both though ❤️ Is there an increase in chance for a second ectopic? I don’t really know much about them.

whambam89 · 08/12/2020 21:15

@MrsB2019x bless him, hopefully you can get your 6 week scan in and start to relax a bit after that, what are the rules where you are? Are partners allowed in for early pregnancy scans at the moment?

I think next month once I've had my ovulation rise I'm going to stop temping until (if 🤞) AF arrives because it's just causing me more stress x

Unicornsparklez · 08/12/2020 21:34

@whambam89 I'm 31 and I was on oral contraceptives for almost 15 years before I stopped it to start TTC. At first my cycles were crazy anywhere up to 55 days. It then settled down after a few cycles to around 32/33 days but could still be up to 38 days. When I started taking the vitamin D, vitamin C, folic acid and vitamin B6 my cycles reduced even more to around 28/30 days but I was ovulating around CD16/17 and then I was spotting by 9dpo and AF would come around 11dpo so I started the maca root and CoQ10 this month just to try and lengthen my luteal phase. I've literally done so much reading to try and find anything I can increase our chances and finally get a BFP but I do feel better, shorter cycles, more CM, higher libido, more energy so I feel like they are helping to improve my general wellbeing so it's definitely worth looking at if there are any supplements that can improve fertility or health in general ☺️

MrsB2019x · 08/12/2020 21:49

@Sansa87 I imagine I’ll be the same. When I got treatment they told m that your chances of an ectopic are 1 in 100, but once you have one your odds increase to 1 in 10. I just need to think of it as there’s a 9 in 10 chance that everything is fine!

@whambam89 I don’t think they can come in for early ones but think partners can join for 12 & 20 week scans.. haven’t looked into it yet tbh! I’ll call EPU tomorrow to see if they book appointments in advance and ask then

pizzaandcats · 08/12/2020 21:56

I'm just trying to research maca root as I've never heard of it before today but I'm seeing lots of different info on how much should be taken. I've found capsules on amazon 4000mg, is this too much?

SS123456 · 09/12/2020 07:11

Sorry AF came @whambam89 😔. I have a feeling a won't be too far behind you which is crazy as I am only 5dpo! Had spotting since 3dpo, the last two days my bbt has dropped, and this morning my rhr dropped a bit too. I am so confused about what my body is doing! 🤷🏻‍♀️. I was hoping I could get a bfp this month to avoid the expensive fertility appointment on the 22nd but I'm not feeling hopeful at all. I'm annoyed as we times dtd really well with ovulation this month too

@pizzaandcats and @Unicornsparklez welcome to the thread ladies, I am sorry you are both having a tough time on the ttc journey too. I am 37 with an 8 year old DS from a previous relationship. I have been trying for my first with my partner for 15 cycles now. I fell pregnant in Oct this year but miscarried at 5 weeks and my body has been all over the shop since!

I take proceive, coq10 (100), and a super foods supplement

Sorry to hear you're having such a confusing cycle @SS123456

3dpo here and nothing to report. Still waiting for covid test results for my DD.

Unicornsparklez · 09/12/2020 08:20

@pizzaandcats I think the ones I have are 3500. If not they do have it in powder form that people put into smoothies or yogurt so then you could control how much you're having of it but I got mine in tablet form off Amazon. They were expensive though so fingers crossed. I've seen a lot of women who swear by them but the again a lot of people swear by preseed and that did naff all for me haha

Unicornsparklez · 09/12/2020 08:25

@SS123456 thank you ☺️ I'm sorry to hear of the difficult time you've had too and the MC. It's mind blowing sometimes just how common fertility issues are now, or how many women find it a little difficult to conceive. Is there something in the water? 🙈 hopefully there could be some xmas bfps or 2021 is our year! 🤞🏼✨
