Welcome to the longest running funniest bus ride in history! Or so we like to think anyway...

We talk sex, tv, work, more sex, food, slimming, RHR, charts, spicing things up or down, crafting (a more recent addition for 🎄🎅🏻) and help each other out in any way possible. Oh and yeah Trying to make babies gets mentioned a bit too but more often than not our bodies just do what they want!

When I say a few of us have been around the TTC block I don’t mean 🍆I mean as a MN group, not just a bus, a mini sanctuary since March for some of through the highs and lows of making babies through 2020 ❤️🥰

@Minster2012 what are pink die tests? Are they like first response? We were going to get a "proper test" today rather than cheapies. Any recommendations?

I'm in shock haha 😂 I've just copy and pasted my run down from another thread I'm on, so I'm sorry if you're on both, just skip past haha!

So it's our first cycle TTC. I feel almost guilty saying that!! As I know for lots of you it's been a much longer journey and it might feel frustrating to you. Please please please feel free to not reply to any of this as I don't want to be a source of upset to anyone!

So I thought my period was coming on the 20th of November. When it hadn't come by 23rd and I'd been having spotting etc, I did an OPK and it turned out I was ovulating! I got a peak reading that day, and that evening we DTD.

DTD again next morning but OPK was down to 'high' reading. So by some stroke of luck, I'd managed to catch the ovulation at CD35 (23rd Nov).

Not much happened in the next week apart from some cramping for a few days post-O.

Around 6-7dpo I had really bad gas haha!! I'm a gassy person anyway so for me to notice it.... 😂

Pretty much from 8dpo onwards I've been feeling mildly crampy. Thought AF might be coming early.

Tested with an IC in FMU on 8 and 9dpo, both stark white BFN.

Temp hit a new high at 36.73 on 10dpo but I didn't want to test as I wasn't liking seeing the BFN. RHR also jumped from a steady 77 up to 79.

However, all through 10dpo I just kept getting little niggling feelings. Cramps here and there, slight nausea after lunch and feeling roasting hot!

Took FRER this morning at 11dpo and that line pinged straight up within about 30 seconds. Followed up with the others just to check I wasn't getting a false positive. Told DH about ten seconds after I saw the second line 😂 he was a bit in shock and didn't like the faint lines so I did a CB digital to prove it to him haha!

Feeling shaky and nauseous but I think I'm just in shock to be honest! Attached CB digital plus my charts xx

I have to say it hurts a little to hear 2 of you have caught in a month or so 😂 but still pleased for you both! If only everyone's body would just sort themselves out and do the same.

@Kirky658 let's hope there's more to come! Although I have to say this month i think will be easier to take a BFN as it would mean normal festive drinking can take place, helping to soften the blow. Would prefer a BFP though!

What a great present 🥳🙌🏻🌟the pink dye ones are more reliable than "blue dye" like clear blue dye tests, so yes first response test or some of the cheaper home brands are pink dye look forward pink topped ones especially if you've had some spotting

@notyetamumbuttrying I can't read that yet (totes busy ya) but surely as London is like finance capital then "the most intelligent have to gravitate there?" Or do they mean ppl born there? In theory both could be true cos of the housing divide. Hmmmmm

So after a longgggg 40 odd days, AF finally showed her ugly face! Taking my seat at the back of the bus and hoping for a Christmas miracle!
Treated myself to a big can of red bull though, as I've been avoiding them whilst TTC and being unsure on why I was so late!🙃😂

Feeling so frustrated ladies. I messaged my OH saying how down I felt about not getting pregnant yet, because I'm tracking CM and other symptoms, BBT, LH, taking fertility supplements. He said he appreciated my effort but he reckons it's him and he's just not meant to have kids of his own. I've said (and not for the first time) that it's got to help if he drinks less. He drinks between 50-60 units a week (that's not a typo!). This was his response.....
"Hmm can only try... but I know people that drink more than me and take lots of drugs that pop them out just fine xx".

NB he won't try. I told him I can't tolerate him drinking as he's so nasty, and he switched from Stella to San Miguel as he's not as aggy on it apparently 🤷🏼‍♀️ totally dodged changing didn't he.

What's ridiculous is that I was happy with my children and agreed to TTC as a child was something he really wanted. This was all for him! Don't know if I want to bother at all now 😔

@Minster2012 sorry didn't get the notification you'd mentioned me until I posted something just now. I think I need to be left to grump about him/TTC and everything in between for a moment or too.

I'm feeling rotten today, absolutely exhausted and got a pain in my shoulder. Wonder if hurt it on something, at some point, as I seem very clumsy at the minute! Covered in bruises ha

@Joanna1009 yes if he took it seriously he would reduce his drinking. My DH was drinking around that, if not more and we had a discussion about that and his caffeine intake and he did reduce both for a few weeks.
It also made us more likely to DTD if he hadn't been drinking heavily. But the change has to come from him, there's enough out there on male fertility factors for him to look at, rather than reverting to a 'but I'm not as bad as X'

Sorry all fell off the thread for a few days because my v. elderly father got admitted to hospital with a heart issue and my mother is also frail and unwell, so I had to a dash up the country to help. Still there at the moment, trying to squeeze a bit of work in as well, heading back to London tomorrow. Am 14DPO but haven't tested and didn't bring tests with me because tbh I just wanted to focus on the parent situation -- feel I can only manage one thing at a time! Funny how whether or not I am pg was all I could think about a few days ago and then I basically just set it aside when all this kicked off. No sign of my period though and absolutely no spotting at all which is unusual for me. I am more dizzy than sick atm but I am v. dizzy so I will test when I get back and update you all. Sorry I am not up to speed with the thread either, hope everyone is OK.

@Joanna1009 we have male factor and mine doesn't even drink that much! Just has loads on a weekend if he's watching the football and at the pub all day. He smoked as well. He's stopped both now and is eating better and exercising, we'll hopefully see this month if it's made a difference or not. If yours isn't prepared to alter his lifestyle to have what ultimately he wants, then I wouldn't bother! It's not fair on you more than anything else!
@kalidasa sorry to hear about your parents, that's so sad! I hope they both recover soon! Sounds like you might be pregnant, best of luck with testing x
