Hey guys hope you're all ok. On CD6 now after my super short first post pill cycle (18 days!) but that's ok as I feel like these days leading up to ovulation are the 'exciting bit'. I ovulated (or at least had symptoms of it) really early last month, but I'm not having any watery or EWCM yet so I'm hoping for a normal length cycle this time round!
AF was absolutely horrendous. Only lasted 2 proper days but I did not cope at all well. Couldn't sleep properly, was just crying all the time, got into arguments with my OH. It was not pretty and I was just miserable company to be around! Almost just wanted to rush back to taking the pill as my comfort blanket. I definitely haven't felt that cloud lifted that people talk about post pill, and I wouldn't say my libido is higher either 🤷🏻‍♀️ if anything it's less as I have the whole week of my AF and just after where it's the last thing I feel like doing 😂 sorry for the rant, I guess it's just going to take some getting used to!

Sounds like a lot of you all have similar strange things going on but we'll all figure it out together and fingers crossed for Xmas BFPs

Dex1521 · 01/12/2020 08:31

Morning ladies 13dpo and I think I’m out too. Went to the loo and when I wiped there was dark brown on the toilet roll and two sort of thin stringy brown bits of that describes them correctly 😂 so think AF is on her way. Also got full aching cramps as well

Dex1521 · 01/12/2020 09:09

Since posting that comment half an hour ago my cramps are now excruciatingly sore, they’re hurting my back too and I feel slightly sickly and light headed. This is my first period since coming off progesterone only pill on 27th October so exactly 5 weeks ago so technically this is my withdrawal bleed so hoping I don’t wait too long for my period then I can get back on the ttc wagon! If anyone had any tips of calming down period pain let me know haven’t had one of these bad boys since the ripe old age of 13....that was 10years ago 😣

positivitytree2020 · 01/12/2020 09:34

@Dex1521 Sorry to hear that AF is on the way! Really disappointed we haven't had more good news in the group this month! 😣😂
Great that you've gotten your first AF though since coming off the pill, means everything is working so onwards and upwards for the next full proper cycle! 😀
Not sure what you can do for pain, mine hasn't been too bad. Nothing a Paracetamol wasn't able to fix. Maybe hot water bottle?

@Emmgrem Sounds like you had a rough time with AF as well, poor thing. Great that you are now CD6 though, first cycle post pill is always a mess so at least this is your first proper one! 😀 I know what you mean, the pill was always my comfort blanket too. I have to say I do feel way better being off it though, maybe it might improve for you now that first AF is done and dusted!

@Bells20 how are you getting on?

positivitytree2020 · 01/12/2020 09:38

I am out as well this month, 10DPO today and temps haven’t increased since 7DPO! 🤷🏼‍♀️ Took a test yesterday and BFN as expected! Just waiting for AF now, can feel it’s on the way as temps going down too! Just hoping it stays away until at least 12DPO, just so I can prove my GP wrong about an inadequate LP! 🙈
Really badly constipated (TMI) the last 2 days so feeling so BLEH! Other than that and mild pre period cramps I feel perfect!

jessi60 · 01/12/2020 09:38

@Dex1521 I was the exact same, I hadn’t had a period in over ten years. I had the worst back pain with it. I used hot water bottles and that was the most effective to be honest and just took paracetamol. I find it so interesting how different people are. I got my withdrawal bleed after 5 days and then my first period after 28 days from the withdrawal bleed Xx

Dex1521 · 01/12/2020 09:44

@jessi60 wow that’s amazing you got it back so quickly. Honestly I put mine down to being overweight. I’ve lost three stone on slimming world but my BMI is still obese and I put a stone back on this year due to our wedding being postponed and coming off the pill the last few weeks I’ve felt enormous, I’m definitely a comfort eater lol. Focusing of shedding a few more pounds to be a bit healthier and help things along with ttc

@positivitytree2020 yeah that’s true I’m glad everything’s working I always have a constant fear in the back of my mind I’m infertile and no idea why lol.

Definitely going to get a hot water bottle and already had a couple of paracetamols and will have a hot bath after getting the Christmas decs up tonight xx

jessi60 · 01/12/2020 09:53

@Dex1521wow three stone you’ve done so well. You should be proud of yourself for that !!
I have a fear aswell that I’m inferitile. Again no proof of this 😂

I’m just waiting to see what my body is up to. Normally have a 28 day cycle, so technically my period is due in two days. But then I had a LH peak on CD 20 so don’t know if this cycle is going to be longer 🤷🏻‍♀️ Xx

Bells20 · 01/12/2020 10:11

@Dex1521 I think we've gotta find those silver linings where we can! My first withdrawal bleed took about 5 weeks to arrive too. I felt glad to get it out of the way to try and get my body back to some semblance of normal. Hope your withdrawal bleed is nice and quick and you can get going soon next month!

@Emmgrem fingers crossed for you this cycle lovely!

@positivitytree2020 your temps seem to be levelling off a bit! I definitely wouldn't rule yourself out just yet!! I think I'm out unfortunately. Temperature dropped quite a bit, almost to cover line and I feel like there's some activity down there which makes me feel like AF is imminent but like you I'm just praying for a few more days to have a decent LP- I'm only 9dpo today! Took an FRER this morning and briefly convinced myself there was a faint line. There absolutely wasn't it was a stark white BFN 😂 I was shining torches on it at 6.30 this morning like an insane person. Will test again on Thursday if AF hasn't shown up 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Hello!
Awww @Dex1521 it sounds so painful, totally sympathise with you. I've found ever since I've been doing Intermittent Fasting, my period pains are so much better. I used to be in the foetal position on the sofa with a hot water bottle, but now they are so much more managable. Not sure if its linked, but good to know and try. Amazing on the weight loss too!! Also obese bmi over here too, but its going down.
Sounds like you had a tough time @Emmgrem Remember your hormones are all over the placr at the moment, and its completely normal for you to feel like this. It will get better. I was exactly the same. DP even told me that he was struggling to be around me, so we devised a coping strategy during 'my time' - if I snap at him, he has to start laughing, and the laugh becomes infectious and I laugh too. It has totally worked! A year later I'm managing my moods and lows so much better too.
🤞🏻 for you @positivitytree2020 Hoping you'll get a longer LP!
Thinking of you today @Ams19 - hope it goes well 🤞🏻🤞🏻

positivitytree2020 · 01/12/2020 10:43

@Dex1521 Exactly, when I got my first AF after coming off the pill I was actually delighted. We had been TTC that month too but obviously didn't work (I didn't have high expectations that month anyway), but I was just so happy that I actually got an AF coz I know some people could be waiting months for a proper one! 😂 now I'm sick of seeing it! 😂

@Bells20 we seem to be very close together even on our graphs! 😂 Your's hasn't dropped below coverline either tho so still hope for you too! I know what it feels like when AF is coming though which is why I know I'm out, I also did test yesterday and BFN. Not a hint of a line, lol!
Have you tested yet?
I'm the same, if I'm out then I'm just praying for a proper LP at least!

Thanks @PowerOfFlowers, here's hoping.

Hi ladies. So little update from me

Had my scan today and little bean was there with a heartbeat flashing away on screen. The negative is bean is measuring about a week behind and they did see a small bleed as well, which explains the spotting. So basically we need bean to catch up and the bleed to pass / go away before I can properly relax. I have a midwife apt on Thursday so going to speak to them and hopefully I can be monitored to make sure things are developing. If not I have a private scan in 3 weeks so hopefully that will be cleaer 🙂 i am not overally excited at the prospect of more bleeding but hopefully if it does pass it won't be a lot!

Hi @AMS19 I've been wondering how you're getting on.

Great that the little bean is hanging in there and the heartbeat is OK. I wonder - if you implant a little later, would the baby have less growing time? Could that make it a few days "behind" based on ave implantation...? Are you 7 weeks now?

Really hope things go OK in the next few weeks.

I had my 12wk scan confirmed today for 4th Jan. It'll be closer to 13wks. Feels like a long time to wait but Dec always goes quickly... Feels like limbo!

Foxl2222 · 01/12/2020 16:42

Oh @Ams19 i was thinking about you today. It must have been amazing to see the little heartbeat..🤞bean catches up soon and the bleeding passes! 🙏

Daily update: 6dpo- sweet FA 🙄
Deffo imagined I had a blocked nose this morning, and then convinced myself I was nauseous drinking my coffee. Both of which, on reflection, were likely in my head 🙈🙈

@Bells20 you're not alone with the torch thing- been there myself- last cycle! 😅

Hope everyone is well! Xx

Bells20 · 01/12/2020 16:58

@AMS19 That made me feel really emotional seeing your scan pic there! Really hoping all goes well lovely!! Good you've got a other scan coming up too.

@GreenApplesYo eek that scan will come around in no time! Feels like it's gone so quickly!

jessi60 · 01/12/2020 18:17

@AMS19 Lovely to see your scan picture! Hope everything continues to go well for you 🤞🏼❤️ Glad they being really good and getting you in for follow ups and scans!

Nothing much to add from me other than I keep getting reflux which I’ve never had before 🤔 x

Ams19 · 01/12/2020 18:28

Thanks all!! Definitely could be better, Definitely could be worse 🙂

@GreenApplesYo I'm 6+6 but measuring 6. I did implant a bit late, CD10, so maybe that means it is growing smaller. I was small at my last scan too, so at least it is growing!!

Come on ladies, I need other crazy pregnant women that aren't coping with the stress of keeping the little bean alive! 😂😂😂 honestly though joking aside everything is looking super positive. Even without BFPs the charts and progress is absolutely fantastic for newly off the pill. If not this month then I reckon super soon you'll all be pregnant and we can transition to POAS alumni!

positivitytree2020 · 01/12/2020 18:53

@AMS19 So great you were able to get your scan, at least it is all in hand now and bean is being monitored! 😀 I've no doubt it will all work out for you! 😀

So I'm just after getting some brown spotting in the last hour, absolutely raging! I'm only 10DPO so gonna have to go back to my GP with my tail between my legs re. the inadequate LP! 😣 My temps have been dropping but they haven't gone down too much so was hoping that AF would stay away for a bit longer at least to give me a better LP.

Ams19 · 01/12/2020 19:13

@positivitytree2020 if AF holds off properly until tomorrow 11DPO is decent LP length. Try the B vitamins next cycle and I think it will help. On the other hand if it is only a little bit it could be implantation 🤞🤞🤞

OP posts:
jessi60 · 01/12/2020 19:15

@AMS19 Everything crossed for you 🥰🥰

Aw I hope we manage to get some positives aswell. I’m either due to get my period in 2 days on CD 28 or not for a while with that late peak. It’s a guessing game 😂 x

Foxl2222 · 01/12/2020 19:19

@positivitytree2020 🤞🤞 for implantation!
@Ams19 when did you first start getting twinges of pg? Did you have an idea early in the TWW?

positivitytree2020 · 01/12/2020 19:21

@AMS19 if I get AF tomorrow does that mean I'm back to CD1 and LP ended on 10DPO? I find this so confusing!
I don't think I can take the B Vitamins, I google'd it and there's a certain daily dose you are not mean to go over (10mg I think) and that's already in my pregnacare preconception tablets, so I'm not sure I should be taking more.
It's the same level of spotting i've gotten the last 2 cycles before AF so defo not implantation! 😣

If anyone else has any other suggestions please shout, really want to avoid any progesterone medication if I can!

Ams19 · 01/12/2020 19:22

@Foxl2222 no literally didn't get anything at all. Constantly felt like I was about to come on. Apart from feeling awful when I drunk alcohol (apart from the night I downed 2 bottles of red wine at 9DPO...oopps) I would never have known! I got a tiny tiny blink and you'd miss it spotting on 10DPO which made me think either AF was coming or could be a good sign. The 2 days later my temp fell off a cliff, but I got my BFP the same day. Temp picked back up the next day

OP posts:
Ams19 · 01/12/2020 19:25

@positivitytree2020 You arent meant to go over the daily amount with the vitamin B. It definitely works, a few ladies on another thread im on swear by it. That and Angus Cactus. A few of them tried it and their LPs lengthened. So your LP is 1DPO to the day before a full flow of AF. Anything below 10 is short, 11 is borderline but okay, 12 plus is good xx

OP posts:
Ams19 · 01/12/2020 19:26

@positivitytree2020 are meant to! Not arent 🤦‍♀️ you literally overdose on the stuff (it won't harm you in anyway!)
