@CookieMonster3001 no haven't been tracking BBt I did when trying for my first but my little one gets me up fairly often around 4/5am to go for a cuddle. So I'm not sure - I just got a flashing smiley on the clear blue even though got a peak on Friday and Saturday. So confused xxxx

I was around 1dpo when the thread started, can I join.
Now 7dpo, AF due Friday. Today had some sharp pains low down in the centre, hoping it was implantation, but started light spotting at same time. Have had implantation bleed before but not like this so most likely AF. Hoping AF doesn’t arrive and I can test tomorrow or Friday

@CookieMonster3001 frustratingly I can’t remember if it was from ovulation or closer to AF (I recorded everything in a diary -retro- and I can’t find it now :( )

Im now on 8dpo and driving myself mad symptom spotting. I've had 2 pervious pregnancies and with both I've had really vivid dreams before my missed period. These dreams were the reason I tested early with my daughter. I have been getting them again for the last 2 nights. Also I have suddenly got really sore boobs which I never get. Probably all in my head but I'm not sure I can wait much longer to test.

I'm so confused why would I get a flashing smiley 5 days after my peak!? Just doesn't make sense x x x

@BigLucy if you’ll be disappointed try and hold out.. but if so test early let us know!

@BigLucy Just been reading about it and it’s not clear why you could still have positive OPKs. Some people have gone on to have their BFPs, some day it can be a sign of PCOS, others have just had a prolonged surge in a cycle randomly.

I’d go off your other symptoms of ovulation, and like a PP said you clearly have a strong peak on one of the days.

Ok I'll do that xx yea and I had ewcm in the peak day too - now there is no ewcm but I do have lower back ache x x x

@BigLucy that's so weird!! Part of me wants to say its far too early to assume pregnancy as they say implantation occurs around CD6-11. Maybe its worth DTD over the next few days just in case you didn't actually ovulate the first time and continue testing with your CB every morning just to monitor it?

Yea @CookieMonster3001 I'm going to do that. I have lower back ache today so maybe thats ovulation back ache? Who knows Lolol xxx

My first pregnancy ended in a MMC in Aug but my very first symptoms were start/stop cramps from ovulation to the day AF was due, sensitive boobs from 5dpo (this only happened to me a few days during AF), and increased creamy discharge. I knew I was pregnant when I woke up with achy boobs and was proven right 4 days later.

I know it’s early days but I’m 5dpo today and I’m not so optimistic. I’m going to test at 9dpo as that’s when I got my first BFP.

@Lemongrass9 my plan is to wait until AF is late/if AF is late but I can see myself ending up testing early haha. What about you? AF should be due 23rd if my cycles have returned to 28 days. I really didn’t think anything would happen first cycle but this saliva thing has got me thinking, also today I’ve been weeing sooo much!

Hi. Why are you testing on CB after you have already found your peak? Static peak smiley is when LH is detected. You don’t need to continue to test on CB after this.

The reason why your test is flashing is because after a peak it resets. in the first instance it detects oestrogen. There is a second surge of oestrogen after ovulation. So that’s what it is picking up.

If you want to want to Use OPK after ovulation you should use the cheapies.

@Purpleflowers21 my flo app originally predicted AF for 17th but as I didn’t get my opk peak until CD18 it has changed to 22nd. But I was planning to wait and if no AF on 23rd will test then. I can see myself wanting to test early but going to try to hold off as long as I can.
I feel the same about not being sure it would happen first time - we can hope though!

@Lemongrass9 I’m exactly the same, only people I’ve spoken to about it are the people on here, and I don’t want to start telling my other half every singe symptom, he’ll think I’m crazy hahah

Hi @RichmondLady1981 thanks so much for your insight. I really appreciate it as going store crazy. I tested on it beCause whilst my strips were lightening a little they have stayed fairly dark so I have been confused and worried I didn't ovulate. Today I think I'm 4dpo and these are my strips. The numbers are cycle days. My peak was on cD19 which has the strongest line. I was just worried I didn't end up ovulating as I haven't had intercourse since CD 21. Our lives are manic and once I thought I had ovulated we stopped BDing but then panicked I had missed it. So hopefully I did ovulate day 19/20. Today I have had lower back ache and cramps. Xxx

@BigLucy I would always go with EWCM. That’s sounds about right. What date is AF due?

I’m due Monday. We are going away for a weeks holiday from sat so wondering if I should test sat or Sunday as I will definitely want a a few gin and tonics whilst away! I’ll be 11 DPO sat.

Yea I would struggle to resist testing! I guess it does no harm. I am due Sunday 25th according to everything I believe happened with my body lol. Feel ok today no obvious feelings. Had back ache and cramps yesterday afternoon and evening x x x x

3dpo today. I wish I could fast forward to 7dpo so I can start symptom spotting ;)
