No idea how we managed to smash through 1,000 messages (40% of them are probably me anyway, ha!) in such a short space of time, but a new thread is needed for the post pill TTC party, so here it is...

Tag anyone I've forgotten please, and new party-goers always welcome :)

@MintGreenLife 💕 sending you lots of love, sorry to heat that.
Have a moan, its ok to have a rant every now and then, we'll all listen.
A massive positive is that you did ovulate and hopefully the LP gets longer from now on 💛

AMS19 · 13/10/2020 11:00

@MintGreenLife I know right now it all feels really negative BUT... you ovulated!! Thsy is amazing!! After all those months. So maybe, maybe just, you have turned a massive corner. Maybe now ovulation will be standard. The chances of getting pregnant on what is essentially your first proper go was always less likely so I really dont think this reflects anything about you. Your body might well now finally be over the pill, and that means your TTC journey starts now. And therefore you have so much opportunity ahead of you!

MintGreenLife · 13/10/2020 11:05

Thanks @Flowerbudd it's probably not a great thing that I'm sat at my desk right now while I'm feeling so horribly low about it all, as means I'll take it all out on the keyboard ha.

Thanks @AMS19 that's really well said, I hope you're right and that I can see it for it's positives in a few days time. I desperately didn't want this to happen and low and behold. You know when you just feel like you're out of luck? Feels like everything's happening at once urgh. Hopefully we get some positive news soon x

@AMS19 thats a really nice message Smile.

@MintGreenLife Yes, i think i'll take the B'Complex after Ov as I feel it really helped lengthen my LP last time, but I might drop it for the 1st part of my cycle. It hasn't helped bring forward my Ov (by much any way) so thinking last time was a fluke? I'll see how this cycle goes then consider AC next time.

MintGreenLife · 13/10/2020 11:14

@Kay00 that sounds like a good plan. Think I'm going to be furiously reading through old threads today about how to improve a short LP! Issue is I don't want to risk delaying ovulation in anyway, so will have to research carefully to find a solution x

OP posts:
Kay00 · 13/10/2020 11:14

@Juno231 @TheHotelCalifornia My cervix is still high, open and soft(ish) so I think I haven't ovulated yet... so maybe today/tomorrow. and then hopefully i'll get that temperature rise. I'm feeling a little more positive now.

Juno231 · 13/10/2020 11:18

@MintGreenLife I totally get your feelings but you're def forgetting how recent the AC addition was and all the positives from this cycle! I don't think you need to try anything new, just let the AC and vit B sort things out for you - carry on as you were and hopefully the next cycle is even better!

Just don't lose sight of what an improvement this cycle has been on your previous six :)

MintGreenLife · 13/10/2020 11:28

Thanks @Juno231 you're all totally right, I'm just on a downer at the mo. I need to look into B6 and when to take it in terms of before ovulation, as think it can delay things, but maybe I should just stick to that and hope that things get better over the next cycle or two x

OP posts:
Kay00 · 13/10/2020 11:30

@MintGreenLife @Juno231 is right, keep doing what you are doing. It can take a few months for these supplements to take effect. I think the most effective thing to lengthen the LP is the Vit B - but to avoid it effecting your Ov maybe just take it after Ov as I intend to do?

TheHotelCalifornia · 13/10/2020 11:47

@Juno231 Thank you, I've had a look at that and it suggests 36.36 for yesterday and 36.28 for today, up from 36.17. Do we think I should adjust them? Neither of them shows a spike either way haha! Fingers crossed it spikes tomorrow!

@Kay00 ahhh that's so so crazy! Literally the exact same thing! Ahh you've made me feel better, thank you! Really hoping we both spike tomorrow and it's just a bit delayed! Are you quite sure you ovulated yesterday? Attaching my chart zoomed in for you to see, as I think it was hard to see when I posted earlier!

Also, guys, remember how I had my blood test nearly 2 weeks ago? Well, I've been waiting for a call back so called again today to check in and the receptionist said they all came back normal so no need for follow up...I must have sounded a bit surprised as she said she'd get the Dr to call me. I popped downstairs to tell DH and missed the call, classic, so had a voicemail. Just listened to the voicemail and she said all is good but she wants to talk to me a bit about my liver?? Now I'm freaking out! DH said it can't be that serious otherwise she would have called me when she got the results back surely? Anyway, she's going to call back in a bit so I'll let you know what happens. Feel really nervous now...I thought liver was linked to too much drink? I do drink but I feel like not to excess? Hmmmm.

MintGreenLife · 13/10/2020 11:57

OK I now feel really silly for having such a break down over a tiny bit of blood! I've just been to the loo again and it's stopped. I had it at about 9am this morn, just a bit of brown blood when I wiped, so checked my cervix and found the same brown blood mixed in with CM...and then had a melt down. I've just checked again now and no blood when I wipe and nothing on my cervix apart from creamy CM. This may very well turn into full flow AF as the days go on, but I do feel like I may have jumped the gun slightly. I think because I've been so scared of having a short LP, I saw it and just freaked out!!

@TheHotelCalifornia do you know how long you'll have to wait? You're basically me last week! I got a text from the GP saying to call to discus the results and I full on freaked out. I'm sure if there was anything wrong she wouldn't have been so casual to drop it into a voicemail. Sure everything will be fine. Keep us posted xx

OP posts:
Kay00 · 13/10/2020 12:01

@TheHotelCalifornia hoping its not too serious, if it was I guess they would have called sooner. I found out that I had an atrophic kidney which wasn't functioning properly (hense the high levels of protein in my urine) and the doctor didn't even call me back to say it was OK or not... so here's hoping it is Grin haha!

I thought I have Ovulated a couple of days ago (Sunday), but my cervix is still quite high and soft so I don't know... maybe it hasn't happened yet. You got your + OPK on Sunday but I assume (due to your temperature) that you will ovulate today.. so I might be a day or two behind you. So funny though, we both had exactly the same concerns this morning!

Kay00 · 13/10/2020 12:04

@MintGreenLife in my last cycle I had spotting on 5, 11 and 12 DPO but didn't start full flow until 15DPO... so hang in there!

MintGreenLife · 13/10/2020 12:06

@Kay00 will keep an eye on it, god I'm such a drama queen!!

OP posts:
Kay00 · 13/10/2020 12:16

@MintGreenLife hehe, I feel like we are allowed to get a bit dramatic... my OH thinks i'm completely nuts - haha!

I currently going down a rabbit hole googling atrophic kidney/high levels of protein in urine and the impact on pregnancy... it can lead to high risks of blood clots and pre-eclampsia... which isn't ideal esp. as my mum and sister both had pre-eclampsia in pregnancy. I'm going to stop now!

ChinChilly · 13/10/2020 12:29

@MintGreenLife I think we are all guilty of jumping the gun about all things TTC... I have been overthinking things and putting myself into a bad mood 🤣

I’m starting to feel like it’s taking over my life and I didn’t want to be like that 😕

@Kay00 I’m spending way too much time on Dr Google 😳🙄

MintGreenLife · 13/10/2020 12:35

@Kay00 haha thanks, that makes me feel a bit better,

Maybe book a telephone consolation with the GP if you're worried? My mum had pre-eclampsia with me and I had to be induced three weeks early - I have totally looked into wether it's hereditary!

@ChinChilly thanks, feel silly now! Although this may still turn into AF. We shall see. We totally bring the stress of it all upon ourselves don't we. I envy those people that are so chilled about it all, or that fall super quickly and easily and never even have to think about all this stuff. Dr Google is a killer sometimes ha x

OP posts:
ChinChilly · 13/10/2020 12:41

Don’t feel silly @MintGreenLife we all react the same, well I do anyway! Ha I was soooo grumpy when AF turned up, the worst thing was I was in the office that day so my work colleagues bared the brunt of it!

I had every intention of being one of those people that didn’t track, and would just be happy when it happened! Now I’m a crazy pissing on stick, cervial mucas checking, RHR checking mess 😂😂

MintGreenLife · 13/10/2020 14:11

Thanks @ChinChilly silly me! Haha oh no, I'm lucky in that I work from home, so crying in my office is totally acceptable (in my spare room, usually with the dog) ha.

It's totally not possible to just chill and enjoy the process haha. How long into your TTC journey are you? x

OP posts:
ChinChilly · 13/10/2020 14:15

@MintGreenLife I work from home most of the week it was just sods law I was in the office that day 😂 dogs are great to have a cry and cuddle with, somehow they pick up on your mood and just know what to do.

I’m just heading into cycle 4, so nothing really I was convinced last month was the one but it ended in a very odd short and light AF apart from one day which was like a normal flow the rest was more like spotting. What cycle are you on now?

PumpkinEverything · 13/10/2020 14:36

Feeling so impatient today 😂🙈 CD41, 11DPO. I just want to know already, but I’m too scared to test!
Last month AF turned up at nearly midnight on CD42 so I’ve been telling myself if I can hold off until CD43 before testing if she hasn’t already turned up by then 🤦‍♀️
I was half tempted to test today, but then I was thinking no it’s the afternoon and you’re supposed to do it in the morning, and also it’s still really early. Plus, does anyone else feel like they’re jinxing themselves if they test too early? I’m so weird with stuff like that 😩 I’ll convince myself that if it’s negative that it was my fault for testing too early and that AF will turn up straight after. I know it’s a bit crazy, but that’s what I’m like sometimes!

Sperr · 13/10/2020 15:03

@PumpkinEverything test tomorrow! I’m on 8dpo and I’m not even walking passed a shop to avoid buying a test until this weekend! I’m hoping to wait until 12dpo. Have you had any symptoms?

PumpkinEverything · 13/10/2020 15:33

@Sperr I’m very thankful I’m at home or I’d be tempted too! I do have some of the easy @ home ones already that came in my OPK pack, and I think I have a digital somewhere from a 3 pack I got a few months ago when my cycles were all over the place and we weren’t TTC but I wanted to check. So I technically could very easily check right now if I wanted to 🙈

Hard to know! I had some cramps a few days after ovulation, but not much and I felt that was quite early to be anything. I was also bloated for around 5 days as well, and my back was sore too. Also an absolutely terrible and sensitive mood all last week. This week however I’ve no symptoms at all and I’m in a great mood 😂🙈 I think all my ‘symptoms’ related to me being annoyed at my job and sitting on an uncomfortable kitchen chair for a week, and eating food that doesn’t make me feel good

Tatty1987 · 13/10/2020 15:57

I’m currently 9DPO and AF should be due around Friday. Trying to wait until at least Friday to take a test. I’ve looked on Amazon and so many mixed reviews, which tests do you all buy other than clear blue?

This is only my first cycle TTC and as much as I don’t wana get obsessed by it all, it’s definitely already happening. Has anyone looked into or takes COQ10?

@PumpkinEverything I too have been so irritable this cycle, I freaked out yesterday over a roast potato 🙈 which really isn’t like me haha.... also had the off cramp.
