@SunnydazeQ That's really good, keep up the positivity! It helps when you get more into the swing of things TTC wise Smile Wishing you lots of luck next week!

I am doing ok thank you, I'm 10dpo today, keep getting funny twinges. I did do a test this morning but nothing so far. My AF is due on Sunday, I'm keeping everything crossed that a BFP may appear in the next few days and telling myself to stop being impatient with testing.... We've got friends round for dinner at the weekend and could really do with a nice G&T after a long week with work but alas, I shall stick to my Schloer and pretend it's wine! Wine

I am reading a really good book that my hairdresser recommended called Bump and Grind - The A-Z survival guide for when you're trying to get pregnant and sick of being told to relax by Genevieve Morton. Its so funny 🤣 puts things into perspective and has some lovely stories. The author went through a 10 year TTC journey before she had her baby and then got pregnant naturally so it does offer hope! The book doesn't appear to be in wide circulation anymore but I did get a second hand copy off Amazon. Would recommend to everyone in the group xx

@adogisforlife91 congratulations!!! Such great news so happy for you.

I had another really faint line this morning, but then a bit of bleeding so I think I'm out.

Away to the coast this weekend with OH so will take my mind off things a bit!

Dsr87 · 15/10/2020 14:24

This will be number 3 for me. I split from my ex husband 5 years ago due to his inferdelity and getting her pregnant. He was mentally abusive to me then the start of abusive when we split and I found out what was going on. Been with my partner in crime for 4 years. We discussed last month to try as my periods gave become more regular since coming off depo last October which I was on for 9 years. Started getting my periods back in May 2020. So now I've got a pattern we've tried this month. Ovulation spike yesterday and did 4 times leading up to this, so fingers crossed. Im hoping my body is getting back in order after depo. Im honestly the horniest ive ever been this week, but upon reading on ovulation symptoms I've had a light bulb moment as to why I'd shat my partner all this week lmao 🤣

Dsr87 · 15/10/2020 14:27

BTW my boyfriend hasn't got kids and he's amazing with my boys and will make an awesome dad and I want to experience it with someone who loves me as much as i do him. Ex husband left me to do everything on my own x

BuildingThings · 15/10/2020 19:22

@SunnydazeQ Thank you ☺ happy to – finally – be here!

Congratulations @bez91 and @adogisforlife91 Such lovely news to join this group on.

@Dsr87 so exciting! I’ve tested as well and I’m about to ovulate – so good luck to us!

Btw. what is everyone's policy when it comes to having a glass of wine in your cycle – I assume before ovulation should be fine and safe, or do you abstain completely whilst TTC?

danigrace · 15/10/2020 19:53

Hi waves soooo excited to get on the bus again FINALLY!!

TTC #3
DS1 3, DS2 13 months
Just got my period back 4 days ago - back in business!!! Haha

DS1 was very long awaited (3 years, anovulatory pcos) but had 1 period when he was 15 months and got pg with #2 so praying for a repeat!!

Huge congratulations to those who've tested positive so far and lots of love and luck to everyone else Star

danigrace · 15/10/2020 19:56

@BuildingThings I don't drink when TTC but that's mostly because I didn't as part of being super healthy in my fertility struggles with my first. I doubt one glass of wine pre ovulation would matter, possibly helpful in many ways!! Grin

SarahMumof1DS · 15/10/2020 22:54

Hi @KatieLooLa, you joined the October Bus. I hope you're doing ok. x

@jessicalouise10 fingers crossed for you that it's not AF. Baby dust to you and let us know how you go x

Hi! Just jumping on this bus. First month TTC again, just had my first little boy on July 30th 2020. People think I'm mad but definitely ready for another already!

Been pregnant twice, caught first time with both but first ended in mc at 11 weeks. 3rd time lucky for my first try this month.

First period since having LO was 28th Sep, O on 11th Oct, DTD 3 times around O. Now just a waiting game, only 5 DPO so know it's daft to test now.

What date do you think I should test, due AF on 26th Oct x

Smileandtheworldsmileswithyou · 16/10/2020 07:07

Omg- can’t actually believe it but got a BFP today. Had a few little things I had noticed like a big spot on my chin and being really hungry but didn’t actually think it would be positive! My hands started shaking I feel totally shocked.

adogisforlife91 · 16/10/2020 07:39

@BuildingThings I just got my BFP yesterday, and usually have a couple of glasses of wine a night. (In fact I had two gin and tonics the night before BFP!) I figured that's usual for us (DP in wine industry) and if it was going to take a long time I wasn't going to spend half of every month not eating and drinking the things I enjoy! In fact it probably helped on a few occasions Wink
Anyway obviously I have been extremely lucky, and we also live active balanced lifestyles, everyone is different so do what feels right for you. Good luck!!

MrsLauraM · 16/10/2020 08:01

@Smileandtheworldsmileswithyou congratulations! That’s a really clear positive.
How long have you been trying if you don’t mind me asking?

Dsr87 · 16/10/2020 08:38

@BuildingThings I had a glass last night. still enjoy yourself, possibly not putting a huge amount of stress on ourselves may help and let us relax.
I'm hoping for a positive at the end of the month. I'm due to do a test the morning of he 26th. my partner bought us a helicopter ride with prosecco and chocolates which was a Christmas present. but due to covid it got put back. I'm hoping that morning t do a set and tell him after we've landed. I thought I would be a memorable experience any way but even more special if I was and it'll be the last alcoholic drink il have if I am lol. so a huge fingers crossed.

Dsr87 · 16/10/2020 08:39

@Smileandtheworldsmileswithyou
congratulations!!!!!

Purpleflowers21 · 16/10/2020 08:50

@Smileandtheworldsmileswithyou congratulations!! How soon did you test? Xx

Emc16x · 16/10/2020 09:21

@Dsr87 that idea just brought a tear to my eye. Sounds amazing. Wishing you all the luck in the world. Xxx

Congratulations to everyone with BFPs this month it’s so refreshing to see!! So happy for you all!!

@Theawkwardblonde how is it going? Considering I wasn’t tracking I’m now doing two opks a day. Argh it’s getting expensive!! I don’t think I’m even ovulating this month. I took 5 clomid tablets too. Absolutely raging. I’ve gone from upset to just angry!! Xxx

Theawkwardblonde · 16/10/2020 09:24

@Emc16x hey! I'm in the dreaded 2ww and waiting on my blood test results. I'm like you-said I wasn't going to track but was doing 2 opks daily and started taking vitamins again this month.
I get the raging-I'm angry too and I'm already in the mindset it'll be a negative. AF due in 5 days and feel no different to any other month. When I had my chemicals I had symptoms by now! Grrr!!! 😡😡

Kg87 · 16/10/2020 09:28

@Smileandtheworldsmileswithyou congratulations!! 🎉

BuildingThings · 16/10/2020 09:31

@danigrace oh you are too good! Since the lockdown happened our weekend bottle(s) of wine has definetly been extended into the week Wink

@adogisforlife91 that’s so good to hear! I shouldn’t feel guilty and will (try to) continue to enjoy my life! congratulations on your BFP! x

@Dsr87 that's an amazing way of telling your partner i’ve got my fingers crossed for you! Also, I think I should be able to test on the 27th (day after you), but I will try not to as it’s my first month trying and I have a strange feeling it won’t happen this month.

Congratulations @Smileandtheworldsmileswithyou Amazing news!

SunnydazeQ · 16/10/2020 09:32

@Smileandtheworldsmileswithyou congratulations!!! 🎉🎉🎉 Wishing you only wonderful things from here on.

@jessicalouise10 sending positivity your way and you're not out until AF arrives. Hang in there!! 🤞

@gracie2307 that book sounds great and something to keep you busy!! Love the name too LOL Not long for testing and really hoping for a BFP for you xx Enjoy dinner with your friends as keeping busy during TTC makes the time go quickly 😊

Kg87 · 16/10/2020 09:34

Does anyone have any advice/experience on conceiving with PCOS? I have just been diagnosed with this yesterday at my 2nd cycle monitoring scan. The doctor is always in a rush and all she told me is that I have PCOS based on my ultrasound where she could see around 20 follicle and my anti mullerian test came back as ‘35’ not sure what that means and she didn’t explain either.. I’ve asked what the next steps are and she said we can’t do anything right now we need to complete the first cycle monitoring and go from there. Quite upset with this as its just been sprung on me and I have never had any physical symptoms of PCOS. Hoping to hear some TTC success stories if anyone has any!

KatieLooLa · 16/10/2020 09:37

Hey @SarahMumof1DS
Yeah doing better now, OH has gotten some work.... same place as me, not exactly what we wanted but pays the bills!
Was thinking of trying the pregnacare conception supplements for both of us, but maybe try another month without first. How are you doing? X

SparkyLauz · 16/10/2020 09:38

@Smileandtheworldsmileswithyou

Thats amazing, congratulations !!

Sunflowers81 · 16/10/2020 10:16

Hi all,
I'm in the 2ww, not sure exactly when ovulation was as I didn't get a positive on a test, but did have ovulation cramps. DTD plenty around when ovulation should have been. (could have been 5th Oct) LMP was 23.9. Hoping to test this weekend.
Been feeling very bloated, had increasing fatigue this week, sore boobs and some nausea.
I've had two miscarriages in the past, hoping for a sticky bean this time.
Really needed somewhere to talk, I hugely underestimated how hard the TWW is, and haven't told friends or family what's going on.
Sending baby dust to everyone!

gracie2307 · 16/10/2020 10:51
