@gems05 I ovulated around CD9 with my DS. That's how I accidentally fell pregnant with him. If you're temping you should see a temp shift around that time or just after if you did ov then. I've had pains days before actual ov day before, sometimes I think it's just the follicles maturing or something. Temping is the best way to know if you actually ovulated tho. 😊

@Hannahusky I'm so sorry to read your story, so very sad and I can't begin to imagine your loss. Wishing you buckets of baby dust for your BFP! 🤞🏼🌈❤️ x

Hey! Quick question, did anyone have a lot of spotting when stopping the pill? I had my withdrawal bleed for 4 days and stopped for 2 and have been spotting everyday since...

ACNass · 13/10/2020 21:10

I had two OPK tests that were almost positive two days in a row (I used FMU) but were always negative in the afternoon/evening. This mornings OPK was super faint again. I'm so confused! I came off the mini pill in LTE August and got my withdrawal bleed September 22nd. I don't have a great idea of how long my cycles are as this is my first cycle off birth control. Am I just being super impatient?

Hi everyone! Please can I join? Bit late to the party. TTC for baby no 1# now on month 4. AF due in 5 days. Im 29 and me and my husband have been trying for a few months now. Currently 8dpo and going mad!! For the past few days, I've had like a pain in one side - is that implantation or something else? Has anyone else felt this at all? I cant tell if it is just PMS or early pregnancy and my mood is all over the shop - laughing one minute then crying at a bloody advert on telly.... Any advice is much appreciated Smile I feel a bit lonely as I haven't really confided in any friends that we are TTC as I don't want all the questions. Xx

KatieLooLa · 13/10/2020 21:20

Hi all,
TTC baby number 1, although not trying this month due to stress and work.
Window of opportunity has gone for this month but hopefully back to it soon. Hope everyone is doing well and maybe a few get some BFP’s soon x

SparkyLauz · 13/10/2020 21:24

Hi @gracie2307 !
I'm fairly new too, I joined a few days ago, in the same boat as you not being able to talk to anyone else about it as dont want to tell family or friends about TTC just incase it doesn't happen etc. Also my DH just thinks I've come off the pill and 'letting it happen naturally" he's no idea I'm obsessing with OPKs and early testing, I dont want him to think I'm being crazy and also don't want him to feel under any pressure so he doesn't even know when AF comes either!

I'm on my 6th month of TTC at the moment and 7dpo now! Was you on the pill before? I stopped the pill in April and I found the for the first 3 or 4 months my emotions were all over the shop but thankfully that has gone now I think the hormones have settled down and just plodding, was hoping for a bfp before now so getting a bit down when AF arrives.

PurplePops · 13/10/2020 21:25

@ACNass I feel in the same position as you, just come off the pill and have no idea what is going on! If I do OPK in the morning I have a test line but if I do in the afternoon its negative and the control line is really faint, feel like I'm super paranoid and its only cycle 1!! X

gracie2307 · 13/10/2020 21:37

Hi @SparkyLauz

Nice to meet you! Glad I am not alone with it and don't worry, I am the same with OPKs and early testing! I did one this morning but sadly it was bfn. Will try again in a few days. How are you finding the OPKs? Im currently not temping but I think if I dont get anywhere this month then I will try it next month and stick with my clearblue digital OPKs.

I was on the pill but I came off it 2 years ago just after we got married. Its horrible when you feel your emotions are all over the place when coming off it but its good to hear that they've settled a bit for you. Sending you lots of baby dust and luck your way! Hopefully we will get BFNs soon! Xx

gracie2307 · 13/10/2020 21:38

Ah sorry @SparkyLauz I meant BFPs! Stupid sausage thumbs

MrsLauraM · 13/10/2020 21:45

Hi all, can I join in please?
I’m into month 9 of my TTC journey but only on cycle 6 due to long cycles. Only on CD7 at the minute so I’m waiting for ovulation. Haven’t really tracked ovulation up to now, just been DTD every other day throughout my cycle. I think I normally ovulate around CD30-ish (that’s if I ovulate) but I’m trying soy isoflavones this month in the hopes of bringing ovulation forward and making it stronger. I’m also going to use OPK’s this month (started these today) In the hopes of being able to focus DTD when I’m most fertile.
Wishing you all lots of luck and fingers crossed that I’ll see plenty of BFP’s!! 💜💜💜

Charm23 · 13/10/2020 22:14

Hi ladies. I'm on CD21 of cycle 2, TTC #2. Stopped breastfeeding in August and had quite a normal AF arrive a week later. Then in September I had weird spotting for 6 days starting CD22 followed by a slightly longer than usual AF last month but I expect it was just my cycle getting back to normal after breastfeeding? Hopefully AF will be more normal this month, well actually, I hopefully it won't arrive at all 😂

ACNass · 13/10/2020 22:35

@PurplePops I had twinges in my lower abdomen last week and the last couple days I've had pain from a right ovarian cyst that I get with every menstrual cycle. That made me think I was ovulating but with every OPK being negative I'm just so confused. It's hard to stay hopeful! And it's crazy because I'm only on cycle 1!

SunnydazeQ · 14/10/2020 08:19

Hi @ACNass have you tried ClearBlue digital ovulation kit? It's a little bit pricey but takes the guesswork out. I've been using it since July and got pregnant in Sep, albeit not a sticky bean. A box of 20 last me about 3 months. Might be worth getting it to track your cycle better.

Rachy10 · 14/10/2020 09:15

Hi all. I’m new to the site and this is my first post. I have been ttc for over 5 years now. 1 failed IVF and currently on my 6th month of clomid. Last few days I have had light pink spotting, period is due in 4 days. I have never had this before. Hoping it could be implantation bleeding? Wishful thinking probably.... might do an early detection test tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Purpleflowers21 · 14/10/2020 10:51

Morning everyone!
I currently 6dpo (I think) and all morning have had a mouth full of saliva 🙈 I’m probably thinking too much into it but has anyone else experienced this? Xx

LisaLx · 14/10/2020 11:02

I'm feeling a little bit sick this morning. Don't want to build my hopes up as I'm still 7 days from when my period would be due xx

BuildingThings · 14/10/2020 11:46

Hi all!
I hope I can join you!
I'm 32 and on CD14 of my first cycle TTC #1. That was weird to type...
Would be nice to feel part of a community and learn from all of you as I am coming into it a bit green and craving to have conversations like this at the moment :)

gracie2307 · 14/10/2020 12:00

Hi @SunnydazeQ! Please can I ask - is that the clearblue digital opk sticks with Bluetooth or the monitor? Ive started using the digital sticks with Bluetooth connection to the app but would be curious to know which one worked for you? Thank you! X

SparkyLauz · 14/10/2020 12:52

@Gracie2307

I've just been using clearblue digital it comes with 20 sticks and when you get the smiley face I think that means ovulation will happen within the next 48 hours. So only really use about 3 sticks a month!

Feeling absolutely exhausted today, hoping this is a sign!

gracie2307 · 14/10/2020 13:53

@SparkyLauz, That's the same system I use! It took a while for the tests to register a flashing smiling face (the one that monitors estrogen rise) as I kept going from nothing to a peak smiley and was getting concerned. This month, I did get a flashing smiley then a peak static smiley and I was so happy! Haha its amazing at the little TTC things I get excited about now!

Bless you, thats a good sign! Keeping everything crossed for you. Im still cramping, not loads, just little twinges. Hopefully its a sign and not PMS related xx

jessicalouise10 · 14/10/2020 16:15

Am I mental or is there something there?!

TTC October 2020 Bus
SunnydazeQ · 14/10/2020 17:38

@gracie2307 and @SparkyLauz yes that's the same one I use. It has worked perfectly for me and after the initial use, you really only need 3 to 4 sticks a month if your cycle is regular.

SunnydazeQ · 14/10/2020 17:38

@jessicalouise10 yes I can see that line!! Looks like congratulations are in order 🎉 How many dpo are you?

SunnydazeQ · 14/10/2020 17:41

@BuildingThings welcome! I'm on my 6th cycle and learnt so much from the Mumsnet forums. Great place to start! Best of luck and wishing you a quick TTC journey before the BFP :)
