@Elakiya oh no I am so sorry about your exams. Do you think there isnt enough time to learn for everything?

Oh honey, I am overweight. I used to be really obese before I started trying lost 5 stone and was just slightly overweight that the NHS would have scolded me but not turned me away at the beginning of lock down but now I have picked up so much so has hubby we both gonna be put on weightloss before they see us.

I think the at home kit was for USA standards which are much lower than UKs so it could still be an issue plus we don't know about morphology or speed. They could be slow lol!!

Yes we know I ovulate but we don't know the quality of my eggs or what size they are and if they good enough.

We know the very basic information but until it actually goes deeper its a mystery to us all.

I will speak to our GP after the semen analysis about timeframes I am 30 in two weeks and feel like time is running away with me.

OP posts:
Elakiya · 31/08/2020 10:23

@candycrush2298 Yh I am just a bit nervous I won’t finish everything but we’ll see.

I understand that the semen analysis is US standards but surely if one country thinks it’s good enough to conceive on then it should really be good enough to conceive?

Yep we know nothing about egg quality but that’s what the soy is for 😁. Not everyone who took soy got their BFP on the first month of trying soy. Just like when people take clomid. A lady I worked with was put on clomid and she conceived after 4 cycles of it and then you have people who conceive on 1 cycle? Even on that soy thread you posted loads of people got BFP’s within 6 months of trying it.

Time is not running out. You still have a decade before you can say time is running out.

The NHS is slow and therefore frustrating but once you get to the right person you’re in good hands. Keep positive!

candycrush2298 · 31/08/2020 10:45

@Elakiya awww honey you're just amazing!! Thank you for your absolute positivity. You ladies in here are just so amazing and so uplifting.

Truly you are fab and have an absolute heart of gold I hope you do the YT channel as you will be such an inspiration.
Good luck with your exams I hope you can pull through xx

I really feel honoured to have "met" each of you.

I have just received a call about a big promotion in the works and further training. Its a lot of work and very exciting its just big changes so might be the big distraction I am needing from TTC.

OP posts:
Elakiya · 31/08/2020 10:58

@candycrush2298 omg congratulations this is the distraction you need. You watch it will happen when you least expect it and completely take you by surprise. Well done though. So happy for you.

I genuinely wish I knew all of you in real life because this is the most horrible journey I’ve been on and all of you have been the reason that I am mentally surviving this.

candycrush2298 · 31/08/2020 12:05

@Elakiya thank you - it was just a quick call so will be having a meeting on Wednesday when I go into the office to see what it all entails. Very excited to see where it takes me. Thank you and I hope that I will be so disctracted that I will just be one of those people that are like 'omg it happened when I stopped trying' lol you see those all the time haha.

I am going on holiday in two weeks which be over my fertile window that we are in Skye and I am just going to BD every second day that week. Not going to test not going to worry about it just going to enjoy my holiday. I won't know how many dpo I am or when I ovulated. Just take a full break. Will even stop BBT for one cycle. Only thing I will do is take the soy. But won't track anything won't follow smep won't stress myself out trying to do it 3 days in a row. Or make sure I do it on peak and ovulation. Just do it every second day and that is it.

Awwww I feel the same way I wish I knew all of you personally think we would make an absolute awesome group of friends. I honestly couldn't agree with you more about mentally surviving this ttc journey. It is so draining.

I promise my rant from this morning is over - no more negativity from me. I hate being a downer but just needed to have a moment and you girls are so awesome. Back to being positive. I am going to be going blind next cycle without any testing but I promise to be happy and more upbeat. Been awful these past few weeks sorry girls.

What is everyone up to? How is everyone doing? With their cycle and with their lives in general? How is it going?

OP posts:
ReginaaPhalange · 31/08/2020 12:13

I've read up on the SMEP and I'm going to do that next cycle lol My hubby will love that... not hahaha!!!!

Need to read up on the Soy plan too @candycrush2298 as I have no idea what dose I have picked up, so will tailor that to my needs this week and start that after AF has buggered off!

ReginaaPhalange · 31/08/2020 12:14

@candycrush2298 well done on the promotion! hope the meeting on Wednesday goes well

candycrush2298 · 31/08/2020 12:19

@ReginaaPhalange hahahaah I have tried it twice first time was tough lol. Second time which is this cycle we did it successfully somehow hahahah. But yeah next cycle not doing anything lol!!

As for the soy you have 40mg tablets so if you want to take 120mg per day it will be 3 tablets per day

And thank you hun, think its all going to be good news except the manager I will report to is hard work hahaha.

OP posts:
ReginaaPhalange · 31/08/2020 12:22

@candycrush2298 do you take the 3 tablets in one go or space them out throughout the day?

candycrush2298 · 31/08/2020 12:25

@ReginaaPhalange I took them all at once literally before I closed my eyes to go sleep to avoid any side effects that I have seen it can cause.

OP posts:
Kaybobx · 31/08/2020 12:41

@candycrush2298 congratulations on the promotion. I hope all goes well at your meeting, how exciting. Definitely a distraction you need.

Ive just been out for breakfast this morning making the most of the last day of eat out to help out lol 🤣 then I've got work at 2pm ugh!! I think i had my peak this morning, if not it will be at some point today/evening then the dreaded wait.

candycrush2298 · 31/08/2020 12:45

@Kaybobx ooooh exciting!! Lets see is it as strong as last cycle??? Wow thats nice and early what CD are you again?

Oooh yum sounds good hahaha at least you got to make the most of it hahaha. Aww we don't have a bank hol today in Scotland. So I am unfortunately working today lol

OP posts:
Boc86 · 31/08/2020 12:52

Congratulations on the promotion @candycrush2298
Sorry you’re having to consider next steps for ttc, hugs for you xx

Elakiya · 31/08/2020 12:55

@Kaybobx This is slightly freaky I just got my peak too. How are we completely in tune with each other?

candycrush2298 · 31/08/2020 12:55

@Boc86 ugh me too I wish there was no more ttc because we are already pg. So annoying. But we will just have to wing it next cycle lol. How you doing you enjoying your Bank Holiday? When do you move into your new place again?

OP posts:
candycrush2298 · 31/08/2020 12:55

@Elakiya yay for peak thats awesome!!!

OP posts:
Elakiya · 31/08/2020 12:59

@candycrush2298 Yep you do that enjoy your holiday and ignore ttc for a month. It's the break you need and a holiday after the year everyones had sounds amazing. Hope you have a lovely time. This is something your mental health really needs. Mine too I need a break.

I'm thinking of joining slimming world. What did you do to lose weight?

candycrush2298 · 31/08/2020 13:06

@Elakiya thanks hun I am actually looking forward to it if I am honest. Just not thinking about anything and just enjoying each other.
As soon as you can I hope you are able to take the break.

I literally bought a fitbit wore it everyday. Made sure I walked 10k steps everyday, exercised for 45 min a day using YT home workouts and restricted my calories to 1400 per day. I used recipes from slimming world website and made myself so many tasty meals. Used the app myfitnesspal to log all my meals, I would create the recipes on there with the exact ingredients I use to make sure my calories were accurate. I weighed all my food and I did IF 18/6.

Welliedays · 31/08/2020 13:15

Right, firstly @candycrush2298 don't ever apologise for having down posts, or promise you'll always be upbeat. We aren't here just for the good days, we're here for the bad ones too. A problem shared is a problem halved and I bet you felt so much better after you wrote it all down? I completely agree with what @elakiya said though, I have nothing more to say that she hasn't already!! It sounds like work is getting exciting and your holiday is just the break you need - I hope you have a great time and actually enjoy the BDing without any tracking. I think holidays are great for destressing too, so hopefully with that and the soy you'll be giving yourself a good chance.

Kaybobx · 31/08/2020 13:18

@Elakiya no way! That's fab we're peaking together. Here's my tests, its not quite there but this evenings test will be blazing im sure. I'm CD 11 so a couple of days earlier than usual.

CSG (Thread 2)
candycrush2298 · 31/08/2020 13:21

@Welliedays awww I actually just got tearful thank you so much. You are such a sweetheart. I honestly appreciate your kind words. I truly just feel like I need to be more positive for myself I am dragging myself down with this negative cloud over my head and pessimistic thoughts. So I promise when I say I am going to be more upbeat I mean it for myself as much as for you guys. I need to think positive and appreciate what I have in my life right now and whats all happening around me and focus on those great things rather than the fact that we aren't conceiving.

And dam right the holiday is going to be soooo amazing really think we need to bd for fun in exciting new place and because we want to not because we have too

OP posts:
candycrush2298 · 31/08/2020 13:22

@Kaybobx yeah thought you were quite early. Wow!!! Thats incredible. Its positive but i know yours go blazing with easy@home eeeeek so excited to see your blazing positive tonight. Thats just fab!!!!! Sure you are sooo ready for the TWW lol

OP posts:
Kaybobx · 31/08/2020 13:23

@candycrush2298 your aren't out yet anyway, dust yourself off and keep going. You've got this girl ❤

@Elakiya I'd defo recommend my fitness pal app to track your meals. If you get your PT to input the settings for you then its really easy to follow. You can adjust how much protein, fats, calories but you need it to match your weight etc to be effective

candycrush2298 · 31/08/2020 13:28

@Kaybobx awww guys you are all so sweet!! Cannot believe my luck that all you wonderful ladies commented on my post all those months ago. Truly amazing!! Thank you xx

Myfitnesspal is awesome, by working out your macros and what you need each day in terms of protein, cards and fats it makes it so much easier. I would make lunches in batches so I had the whole week and didn't have to struggle when going to work. Truly is a fab app.

ReginaaPhalange · 31/08/2020 14:02

Should I test with a FRER about 5pm tonight? or hold off until tomorrow morning lol? I can hold my wee until then as I don't need - last went at 11 haha!!! I have ran out of my eas@home but ordered more and should be here tomorrow.

11dpo and a clear bfn on the last strip this morning...
