@Diorissimo1985 keep us updated with how your GP chat goes. Is it still a faint line on your tests? Xx

@Northernsoul90 congratulations on your new niece, must be a lovely feeling 🥰 glad they are both doing well.

@Sallyjo27 oh god 11 months! That's an insane wait, especially considering you've had the 3 MC's. Do you know what the availability is at your private clinic? Hope you get one soon so you get some appropriate help xx

@Pugprincess look after yourself, just take it easy 🥰

@Lollol86 I don't know why, but seems like ages that you got your BFP! Have you got anything planned for the weekend?

@Firevie Austria has been added to the quarantine list now hasn't it? So annoying! Xx

Hi ladies, it seems a few of us are in the same boat. I've also had my bloods done twice (due to the irregular periods, my doctor was just shooting in the dark in terms of when to take them). First one I had was

susiebluebell · 21/08/2020 14:29

@Sallyjo27

Morning all, how is everyone? Finally rang my gp yesterday to ask for bloods (antibodies, blood clotting etc) and she can’t do them and can only do the 21 day progesterone. Only the hospital can do them. I’ve been referred to gynaecology (we don’t have a recurrent miscarriage clinic) and there’s an 11 month wait. So after a bit of a melt down yesterday we’ve decided to have some tests done privately. Hopefully will get an appointment with the consultant within 4 weeks. I’m hoping as my luteal phase is only 10 days they’ll listen and give me progesterone. Really annoys me that the only person who seems worried about my 3 miscarriages and wants to get to the reason why they happens is me 😩
I know the feeling of nobody seeming to care but yourself, I've only had one miscarriage and already the friends and family who knew seem to have moved on totally. I'm sure they are just trying to be tactful and positive but I feel negative/selfish for bringing it up.. Confused I'm sorry as well that there is such a long wait for you - sometimes these things go quicker though, you never know if others patients cancel etc!

I've not contacted a Dr yet about my mc because I'm moving house in the next couple of weeks (London to Cornwall) and there didn't seem to be a point in starting the ball rolling up here. I hope it doesn't come back to bite me if I have another mc or there are other issues ConfusedBlush

VP91x · 21/08/2020 14:36

@ladysamee I'm also feeling the same about my weight, I am a similar BMI to you and starting my diet again on Monday. Going to do x2 shakes a day, a low carb snack and low carb evening meal - to keep under 1300/400 calories a day. I keep starting diets and falling off but I really need to stick to it to help with my PCOS symptoms. I've bought a weightloss diary to help me keep on track. I also have my gynae appt at beginning of October. Xx

ladysamee · 21/08/2020 14:48

@VP91x very similar situations then! Yes, I'm going to be sticking to the same calorie amount as you. I've found that the "MyFitnessPal" app helps me track that very easily. We will get there! x

Lollol86 · 21/08/2020 14:49

@VP91x oh don't say that I think it's going really slow 😂😂 today we have been to town to sort out school shoes and a few other bits, I've just got back from meeting my friend for a quick catch up. Bloody shattered now. Only thing planned for this weekend is we are going to the out tomorrow for lunch, I literally can't wait for pub chips. Do you have much planned? Xx

eclipsechips · 21/08/2020 15:03

@VP91x @ladysamee I'm a very similar BMI too. I do the two shakes a day and a healthy meal at night

ladysamee · 21/08/2020 15:17

@eclipsechips what shakes do you use?

Sallyjo27 · 21/08/2020 15:20

@VP91x @ladysamee my bmi is 39, I’ve lost 7lbs in the last two weeks I’ve been weighing my cereal for lunch having a slim fast shake for lunch and a healthy meal for tea with a fruit as a snack. It’s bloody hard but I remind myself that I want to have a healthy baby more than a chocolate bar 😩😂 I’ve been exercising a lot more too. Lockdown did no good for my weight! I’m worried they’ll say my miscarriages were because of my weight and won’t be able to give me treatment too.

@susiebluebell good luck with your move! That’s exactly how I feel too! Like everyone else has moved on and I’m stuck xx

ladysamee · 21/08/2020 15:26

@Sallyjo27 that's my concern too but trying not to stress because I've read that stress can trigger cortisol which in turn lowers progesterone! Such a vicious circle but that's life, I guess! You're completely right - it's hard work but fx it will all be worth it x

Firevie · 21/08/2020 15:27

@VP91x indeed it has been. I’m not too fussed about it though as I would have stayed at home anyway on my return so it’s fine. And not back until 1sept so May get better until then anyway. DH will leave this Saturday or Sunday so he will have to self quarantine lol
@Northernsoul90 awww congrats on your little niece!!!! 🥰🥰🥰
Just done my OPKS / still low but rising. Was 0.26 yesterday and is 0.28 today but I think it will be another 10days before I peak but will keep testing as it’s interesting to see how it all progresses xxx

VP91x · 21/08/2020 15:34

@Sallyjo27 @ladysamee @eclipsechips I use the exante shakes. They normally have loads of discount codes and you can get a months supply for a good price and they taste nice!

@Sallyjo27 that's great that you've lost half a stone. Well done!

That's my main concern too, obviously need to shift the weight anyway and I don't want to be refused treatment. Going to stick to resistance workouts and some yoga as high intensity isn't ideal if you have PCOS apparently xx

OP posts:
VP91x · 21/08/2020 15:37

@Firevie oh that's good that it won't affect you, it's so frustrating that the rules change from one day to the next.

@Lollol86 sorry 🙈🙈. Hopefully you can pop your feet up once the girls are in bed. Just trampolining tomorrow morning, will probably go and see my mum too. Xx

HappyVibes · 21/08/2020 15:48

Hey ladies

So I have my bloods booked in for CD22 as requested by my GP. I have my first gynae appointment beginning of September. Is anyone able to shed light on why I would need CD22 bloods? Xxx

MrsK21 · 21/08/2020 15:56

@HappyVibes it's most like to check your progesterone has risen after ovulation - to confirm ovulation usually.

@VP91x @eclipsechips @Sallyjo27 I'm also trying to lose weight but everytime I get in a funk about my TTC situation it derails me 😩 I've got a stone to lose so need to be really disciplined! I'm doing my food shop later, think I'll add some shakes and soups for lunch - my easiest meal to control as OH seems to want banquets for dinner every day 🙄

VP91x · 21/08/2020 16:00

@MrsK21 dinner is the hardest one!! My OH always has a pudding too, but as we know men eat and eat and don't put on a pound 🙄.

Yeah, I definitely comfort eat or we end up ordering in which is not ideal. We can do this 👌. Did you watch the lose a stone in 21 days show on channel 4?

@HappyVibes those were the bloods I just had done too, it checked your progesterone levels to see if you have ovulated xx

OP posts:
eclipsechips · 21/08/2020 16:05

@Sallyjo27 @ladysamee @VP91x I use the Slimfast shakes, I’ve used them 5/6 weeks so far and I’ve dropped from a size 20 to 16. I’ve got DH on them too.

@MrsK21 I completely sympathise - my tears over our journey yesterday had me treating myself to peanut butter on toast yesterday morning but I was back on my shake and lunchtime

ladysamee · 21/08/2020 16:06

Also think I'm drinking too much coffee which doesn't help cortisol levels (or so google says 😂) so going to pick up some decaf - I would give it up completely but it definitely curbs my hunger throughout the day! x

ladysamee · 21/08/2020 16:07

@eclipsechips that's amazing! Well done! x

HE88 · 21/08/2020 16:10

@Northernsoul90 congrats on the birth of your neice 🥰.

Had my acupuncture session today it was amazing it was acupuncture but also a therapy session as well. Felt really good talking about stuff with a complete stranger honestly feel like a big weight has been lifted! Xx

eclipsechips · 21/08/2020 16:10

Thanks @ladysamee - I did a little happy dance once I realised the size difference. I just wish I could drop my BMI like that - I'm quite short and unfortunately very busty so I've always struggled there.

VP91x · 21/08/2020 16:13

@eclipsechips that's amazing!! How much weight was that? Definitely motivation for me 😍

@ladysamee there are some fab decaf options I think, will have to go for that too xx

OP posts:
ladysamee · 21/08/2020 16:13

@eclipsechips same! I'm 5"3 - us shorties have it tough when it comes to BMI x

Firevie · 21/08/2020 16:16

@HE88 glad you enjoyed your first acupuncture today! Can I ask - are you seeing someone in London? I just find them so incredibly expensive so was curious if you’re also seeing someone in London and what their prices are xxx

eclipsechips · 21/08/2020 16:17

@ladysamee I'm just half an inch taller than you - I've always been envious of taller people the same dress size as me as they look fab!

@VP91x it was just over a stone believe it or not, I really didn't think it'd make that much difference when I saw the numbers
