*about pregnant staff

@Franklydear I’m keeping everything crossed for you it seems like you have some great signs! I’m 8dpo cd25 so similar to you!

@Minster2012 @lucyrp I love a good strongly worded email!

@grandmasterstitch wowsers congrats!

Katao · 26/08/2020 09:03

@grandmasterstitch yay! Congratulations! That's fantastic. You were owed a quick one after 18 months the last time 😉

@Busybee143 I think tell you bossso they can do a risk assessment.

@DKDK123 you poor thing, that's really messing with your head. Are you using the same brand test every time?

Juno231 · 26/08/2020 09:22

@grandmasterstitch congratulations! I think that might be the 16th BFP for August Grin Well deserved one after 18 months I dare say!

I'm 3 DPO here and FF has confirmed Sunday as OD. It's all a waiting game now - again! @notyetamumbuttrying I'll try and channel your zen and hold off on testing as long as I can.

@mumof23188 how are you doing xx

OP posts:
grandmasterstitch · 26/08/2020 09:25

Thanks all! I'm over the moon (and now worried about miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy, I need to chill out)

@Juno231 I definitely recommend waiting to test if you can. This time and last time I waited until I was late and got really clear positives. I know some people prefer to see a positive than to get AF surprising them but I was always the other way round. That blank test shouted "you're still not pregnant" at me more than AF. I really hope this is your month!

Juno231 · 26/08/2020 09:38

@grandmasterstitch I think I've used my early testing in the past as a slow expectation manager lol ahead of AF. I think I'd have convinced myself I was PG otherwise and been in for a shock. I'm now at the stage where I'm just a lot less excited/a bit more blasé so think it might be easier to hold off now.

One of the reasons for holding off with testing this time is that I could find out whilst in Sicily and that might make it extra special?

OP posts:
grandmasterstitch · 26/08/2020 09:42

@Juno231 that makes sense. It's so emotional, even though you tell yourself not to get bogged down you can't help it.

Sicily would be amazing to find out! We found out about DS on Father's Day and that was really special. Fingers crossed for you!

Florence13 · 26/08/2020 09:54

@grandmasterstitch congratulations that is a super strong line!! How many dpo are you? How exciting it’s happened so fast!!

@Minster2012 haha thanks, fingers crossed I get a BFP if not can rejoin the back of the bus and have a whole lotta alcohol to make me feel better.

@Franklydear that all sounds good keeping my fingers crossed for you! Know what it’s like to not want to get your hopes up though with symptoms.

Florence13 · 26/08/2020 09:56

@Juno231 I’m the same 3dpo as well, hoping I can hold off testing to. That would be so lovely to find out in Sicily keeping my fingers crossed for you.

grandmasterstitch · 26/08/2020 10:04

@Florence13 I think 14? I'm on CD29 so maybe 15DPO. I haven't really been tracking because it was the first month and I didn't want to get too caught up too soon.

When are you due to test? I was pretty sure I was pregnant last night so decided to have a small glass of wine, drink until it's pink all day all that 😂 so I definitely recommend making yourself feel better with some alcohol, who knows, it could be your last opportunity!

BellaBella84 · 26/08/2020 10:49

One more week til AF due, hope I can keep my sh*t together! 🤞

LaceyMermaid · 26/08/2020 11:04

@BellaBella84 @Juno231 @Franklydear seems we’re all in TWW - here’s to keeping zen! I feel ok right now at 8dpo. My intention is not to test unless late. Trouble is with FF and femometer not agreeing on OV when is late?! 🤪

LaceyMermaid · 26/08/2020 11:04

Oh and @Florence13!

BellaBella84 · 26/08/2020 11:21

@LaceyMermaid It's hard to hold much faith in the app, I love my Ovia app because it's colourfull and it's easy to keep track of my periods, and I get to put little hearts on a chart when we've DTD! But it's never going to as accurate as an OPK. Personally I like CB OPKs because of the smiley faces. Which has now got me thinking that at 35 I love smiley faces and hearts on colourfull charts! 🤣

Busybee143 · 26/08/2020 11:42

@grandmasterstitch congrats!!!! When is your dd, can't be far off mine.
Thanks for the advice for work guys, I think I might tell the boss first day back maybe.

NamechangeTTC · 26/08/2020 11:52

I’m out for August

Florence13 · 26/08/2020 11:54

@grandmasterstitch that’s the trouble I have been drinking plenty haha but thought I’d be a bit more sensible this TWW. Not due AF until 6th September but haven’t been tracking this month.

@LaceyMermaid aww at least there are a few of us in the TWW together although as I haven’t used OPKs I cannot be 100% sure how many DPOs i am.

grandmasterstitch · 26/08/2020 11:57

@Busybee143 4th May I think but I'm asking for a c section so it'll more likely be the end of April. I was induced a week early last time which ended in an emergency c section so I'm keen to avoid that! When's your due date?

I also need to work out when to tell my boss. Last time I told them really early on but I'm at a different job now

Busybee143 · 26/08/2020 12:06

@grandmasterstitch I'm due the 26th so we're very close!
I'm sorry guys but I'm not ready to leave this thread yet, I'm on the April dd thread but they are all mostly having lots of symptoms and I know it sounds silly but it's making me worry. I'm happy sticking about on here for a bit if that's OK x

Ladybird345 · 26/08/2020 12:08

Hi ladies,

I've just found a lady who is testing for pregnancy with her breastmilk, has anyone else heard of this? I was shocked to say the least!

Congratulations @grandmasterstitch on your BFP!

I've had another BFN so safe to say I'm not pregnant! Still no sign of AF though 🙄

blodyn91 · 26/08/2020 12:41

@Busybee143 join us on the summer graduate thread, we all started on this bus 😊
@Minster2012 thought id let you know that the farmer sold all lots of his estate except the barn we went for! Decided he had put it up for too cheap and now wants an extra 150k! which we can't afford 😑 So im still looking....

Also I have been reading every single comment on here 😄 felt sad when you were all saying theres a lull then suddenly bang lots of talk. Looks like theres lots of you back in the tww so 🤞🤞 for you all!
Me and another girl on the grad bus took zita west DHA supplement, so if anybody is looking for more pills to add to their baskets, highly recommend

DKDK123 · 26/08/2020 12:48

I missed your post earlier @grandmasterstitch congratulations!!!! 🥳 Hopefully you're starting a new run of BFPs

@Katao different brands over the past few days, 4 clear blue digital all negative. One FR (dumbass got the rapid response not the early results ones) positive on one, negative the next day, and 2 diff brands on IC positive the same day as FR, then negative for two days with FMU and diff points in the day and now two diff IC faint positives this morn. Im just going to take it as residual hormones leaving my body after CP and if its turns out not to be then it'll be a good surprise if AF turns up I won't be disappointed as im expecting it. I still feel pregnant tho, cant explain it no symptoms jsut a feeling.

Katao · 26/08/2020 13:43

@DKDK123 it's early days and that's quite a mix of tests. I hope you get a happy ending. I understand your thinking though. Sending positive vibesyour way 😘

Juno231 · 26/08/2020 14:47

@DKDK123 I hope you get that BFP. Any chance of getting a FRER this weekend to see what's going on?

@NamechangeTTC I'm sorry you're out :( Onwards and upwards!
@Busybee143 you can stay as long as you want! Tell us all about what's going with your pregnancy atm x

@blodyn91 I was wondering about your barn yesterday! Very annoying they've upped the price though. Maybe keep an eye on it and see if it even sells at that price, they might come back to you eventually. We're still trying to buy the same house since March. Only just got the mortgage approved by Halifax (took aaaages) and we've decided to just rent our current flat out as it's not even remotely close to selling or even getting an offer. Another perk of covid hey!

May I jump on the bus plz? It's no fun TTC-ing with no-one to chat to about the ins and outs (ahem) of it all!

Cycle no.4 (or is it 5?!) for DC2. DC1 just kind of 'happened', so DC2 is taking a bit more work. Just bought my first box of 'pre-seed' - really not feeling the 'inserting plastic bits up your bits' vibe.....is there anything wrong with applying the stuff to OH's bits?!

Juno231 · 26/08/2020 15:44

@splendidsqueak7 what I liked about the insertion part is that you can do it before you head to the bedroom - so OH won't even know it's there. Found it less of a mood killer that way! and welcome! Grin
