@Missgoldilocks I've got Italy booked for second week of Sep but I have a sneaky feeling that puts me squarely in AF territory lol. In a way that's quite good as I'll have less of a reason to mope if I'm somewhere nice.

2DPO - got my transfoof ultrasound just after noon so am a bit nervous! I need to book in for day 21 test again actually, annoyingly my 7th day post OD is a Sunday when the blood clinic is closed and I wouldn't be surprised if they were closed on the bank holiday monday too... Day 9 it is!

Morning all. I've been missing a few days but just had a quick catch. There's a bit ofa lull around here isn't there 😥 we peaked too early in the month! Any testers soon to give us a boost? 🤞

Af arrived over the weekend so another short cycle for me, didn't actually count cds or do opks but less than 3 weeks anyway. Got my day 3 bloods done though so at least something is happening. I think I will do opks this cycle as I'd like to see if I get a positive and when before the day 21 bloods.

@katao wow that is short! Glad you got the Day 3 bloods done at least. Just managed to book myself onto day 21 for next Tuesday but am worried they'll mess it up again...

And yeah it's been quiet - everyone either got a BFP or seem to be at the back of the bus. I know I've been less keen on commenting on here this cycle as it's just felt a bit meh thinking about TTC.

@Juno231 ooo you've got a transfoof ultrasound today? I like those, sass in I like finding out what's going on 😂🤪checking it's all ok!! @Katao as well the call today is a consents call So it's saying how many embryos we want to thaw at once (one by one until they get a viable one to use) we only have 2 left, and are putting in one at a time, the nurse has to witness us signing of the documents to say do we give our permission for our embryos to be disposed of if they feel they are not of good enough quality to be used when thawed 😫🤨😖that kind of thing. & what happens if one of us dies. You have to do it every 6 months so it's all stuff we've done each time but we can never remember what we've said & it's all somber stuff. The other night DH said to me... "do you want to put them both back in at once& risk twins?, higher percentage chance?" Having struggled with DS down the road dog walking that day I was like. Fuck no, plus with my medical history the strain on my body if it worked wouldn't be worth it. But all things we had to consider over the age of 35 we could choose to put 2 back in at once.

@Juno231 try not to be disheartened I’m sure you’ve still done enough and good you’ve got the ball rolling with testes etc. Transfoof scan! 🤣

I’m 8dpo I think. I’m feeling pretty annoyed because I got no peak opks this month but my temp shifted so think I did ovulate, however FF keeps changing the day. First it said cd 16 then cd 17 then cd 16 now cd 20! No idea why. I feel I ov’ed on cd16 from how I felt so I’m going with that. Not going to test though as I’m just not feeling it and don’t think this is my month! I’ll just wait for AF

Oh and this is when they will tell us not to go out, not to visit shops & pubs. Hmmmmmm. When we are off for a week away next week then a weekend away. Hmmmmm

Morning everyone, I feel so deflated today (have been extremely hormonal so could be why, cried because my dog is getting old yesterday 🐶).
Cycle day 52 and no AF yet. Just wish it would come now! Started taking ovulation tests to see what happens, so far they have darkened from the first day but then nothing, not that I expected much else to be honest and I know I need a full cycle to see what's really going on. Had faint positive with SMU again yesterday but BFN with fmu so it must be either my eyes or some kind of indent or false test.

@LaceyMermaid oh show us the chart! I've attached mine - temp shift has been quite steep but I need one more day to confirm ovulation.

@Minster2012 yes it's my first ever foof scan! if you only use one (assuming both are viable) - will you be able to use the second down the line for a second round of IVF if needed? Silly question perhaps I think but I don't want to assume.

@Ladybird345 CD52 it's no wonder you're crying! Are you still tracking anything or just waiting for AF to show up one day? If you're hormonal though then hopefully that's something happening?

@Vil10 they're part of the initial checks (like day 3 and 21 tests) - used to check if I have anything like endometriosis, cysts, fibroids etc which is preventing me from conceiving. One of my colleagues had this done last year and found out she has a big fibroid literally blocking her cervix and preventing her OH's little men from going through!

@Juno231 definitely feeling meh about ttc too, actually didn't even feel like we were ttc this month, more just waiting for af to start tests🙈 and also afraid they will muck up the tests after hearing about yours and @lucyrp. what will the foof scan check? Good luck, things like that are always nerve wracking.

Oh wow @Minster2012 that all sounds very heavy! Necessary though and a step in the tight direction. Good luck with it.

Aw @Ladybird345 you poor thing, you must be so out of patience at this stage! I've definitely heardsome people get better results with smu than fmu do you drink water through the night? That might dilute your first sample. Hope you get answers soon

@Juno231 @Minster2012 I think holidays around the time af is due are great it completely takes away from the sadness! I would have totally done that but I wanted a relaxing fertile weekend hopefully it works some magic but I still have one fertile period in the beginning of September! Lol
I've bought soy isoflavones so hopefully they help this cycle too..

@Katao sorry to hear about your short cycle it is so deflating! I felt the same last cycle just got my fingers super crossed I have a longer cycle this month. Seriously think our bodies mess with us awful when TTC.

@Missgoldilocks we are going to one bit of Northumberland (Bamburgh castle way) with our friends next week, then again Northumberland by ourselves (without DS) for a weekend on 18th/19th sep which should be just before our embryo transfer all being well - what about you, where in Italy?

@Florence13 don't worry about being ignorant at all, tbh we didn't realise at all the many reasons why ppl end up having IVF til we got there (mine is because I've had years of cancer & chemo treatment, our DS was carried by my best friend as a surrogate for us so we used IVF to her but he's genetically fully ours) it's mind boggling. Mostly it's just because of "unexplained infertility" which is trying for over 2 years and things like PCOS getting in way. But my fertility is screwed from cancer treatment.

@Juno231 yes like in feb we had 3 left, used one, it worked then ended in missed miscarriage so medicated miscarriage, so got 2 left now. If the first one "survives the thaw" (88% chance) then use that & into TWW. We still have one on ice. If that ends in BFN then another round try in 3/4 months. Then I don't know what. I've said I would do a round of "fresh stimulation" so trying to do a full round of IVF but we'll see. Each time we do this frozen round it's c£2,000-2,300, a fresh one would be c£4,000 & the physical & emotional side. I'm one miscarriage in, We need to see.

Actually that's just made me realise that my last 2 cycles were less than 21 days so what happens with 21 day bloods if I don't make it that far without af arriving? Would they still check for progesterone or wait untilthe next cycle? Or would I need to move the blood test closer if I get an early positive opk?

@Katao I'm feeling all right now, just back DTD and focusing on the next cycle. I think I'll book a doctors appointment ASAP on my next BFP (if it ever happens again) and ask them to check my blood as I've had 2 chemicals and might have something wrong. I'm hoping they will agree to a blood test and be able to quickly prescribe something if it's a hormone or blood issue causing them. How are you getting on?

@Minster2012 I agree with you on twins 😆 although you'd cope I'm sure since you've already brought up a little one and know what you're doing! I hope your IVF journey is quick and successful 🤞

@minster2012 ah I see, and yes agreed that it's very much one step at time, let's see what happens kinda deal. Fingers crossed the next embryo is the only one you'll need.

@LaceyMermaid I'd say CD17 based on that chart but I guess we won't know unless AF shows her ugly face!

@2020mission I wonder if you might be better to question it with your doctor now, ahead of a bfp? They might do tests and there might be something to do in preparation for a bfp if you know what I mean. I'm sorry you are going through this, it's such a rollercoaster.

Oh @lucyrp I'm sure you are starting to feel like this is all very familiar! I hope it doesn't go on much longer. These fucked up cycle are the worst! I feel like I constantly have af lately and you must be fed up always waiting 🤬

@Katao yeah I do drink quite abit of milk before bed but I honestly think it's just me reading something that isn't there because it should be dark by now if I was pregnant 😕

@Juno231 Lol yeah I'm hormonal, think I'm driving DP insane with my mood swings! Tracking wise I am taking a pregnancy test each day 😳 then using ovulation strips each day to see what's going on. Yeah I'm
hoping with me being hormonal that AF will just randomly show and I can't start a fresh cycle 😊

@vil10 came off the pill late sep/early Oct and TTC properly from Jan. Being seen earlier though as my mum entered menopause at 31 and her grandmother at 32 I think it was.

It was all good though! Nothing at all noted, she could just see that I'd ovulated on my right, which I'm glad she said cause that's where I've had twinges :)
