I'm currently CD5 so think I'm on my last day of af, I'm half thinking I might just take an opk the day before I think I'm going to ov then not use any others, as I want to take an extremely chilled and relaxed approach but still want to make sure I'm ovulating and DTD when I need to if that makes sense! OH's ex girlfriend gave birth this morning I saw a mutual friend put something on Facebook and it felt like I'd been punched in the stomach, I knew she was pregnant but now I'm a bit like well that's not fair😂😂

@Katao did you mention finding out that you're not ovulating? I think you've said previously that you've been off the pill for roughly the same amount of time that I have (I stopped taking it in December) and it is a concern of mine that I'm having long cycles because I'm not ovulating. So (if you don't mind me asking) what made you get things checked out, and what happens next for you?

@Juno231 yeah similar, I've never actually lost 2 stone. The most has been a stone and a half before my wedding and it's back on now plus about 6lbs more, awks!!

Hey @LV1987 ya no problem. So came off the pill in feb. Periods came back quickly but were shorter than the last time I was off the pill. Previously had been about 30-33 days, came back at 26/27 for the first 4 cycles. A bit short but in normal range so I wasn't too concerned. Then has a 42 day one and then 20 which were both outside what dr Google told me was normal. Ive been getting sketchy opk results too so I decided to see the doc. She thinks the last 2cycles were probaby anovulatory so wants to doing bloods next cycle. So nothing confirmed yet and don't know what happens next.

Cd17, not tracking (ha!) but going by cramps and pains 4dpo, feeling rather weird for the last couple of days, tired, grumpy and with ants in my pants, but I've been back at work and, at the moment, how long will it last?, they are spoiling me, which is unusual so feel a bit weird anyhow ... where are all the bastards I used to work with gone?🤔 One of my miserable, bad temper colleges that never does anything that doesn't benefit him, went to fetch me a jumper cos I had to go outside and it was raining, so I wouldn't get wet as I went to work without a coat ( is also warm and I didn't expect to be outside at all yet)

Thank you @Katao that's really helpful... I've had two 42 dayers, and they are the ones that worry me. I've given up on OPKs for this month as they stressed me and OH out too much. Guess I'll see whether this cycle is another 42 dayer and go from there! Keep me posted on how you get on ❤️

@LV1987 will do. yes from Google 21-35 days is considered normal and also saw that over 40 mean unlikely to have ovulated but I'm not sure why seen as people with pcos can ovulate with long cycles? I don't know but it was doing my head in so decided to question things sooner rather than later.

@Katao great minds, we are having a date night tonight. Going out for a meal. 🤞🏻it brings us back again. We've just been arguing about going away for a weekend with friends in sep, which I'm not their biggest fan, we've been away with before when she was pregnant & she just went on about it constantly. Now they've got 2, a 7 month old & 3.5 year old & they are ok but for IVF we've been told we aren't meant to go ANYWHERE. Like no pubs, nothing. So as to be Covid safe, & here he is wanting to go 3.5 hours drive away cos that's where they suggested, So I said no why not closer, priorities etc & it blew up from there 😔.

AF is due today technically so should get my first day of spotting today which I always get confused with and I'm like nah that's not my period and then boom next day it is. I'm Whag I gbink now 15dpo but don't know if I even ovulated. Phone call with the doc this morning to explain levels etc and wondering if she'll be any help or not 🙄

I don't think I ovulated this cycle... I'm CD41 and 18dpo with bfns and no AF. my usual cycle can be 42/43 days so hoping AF comes soon. If I have another cycle like this though might go to GP.

I think I'll do another on Saturday morning along with a proper test! I think fingers crossed the spotting has pretty much stopped although I have been getting bits of cramp. I seem to have a really sore throat at the moment and I feel super run down so I don't know what my body is doing! Where are you in your cycle now?

So they can't bloody tell me I've ovulated or not! Waited 73 bloody days and another 21 and they can't tell me anything! I'm so angry right now

@lucyrp that's terrible, who can you complain to?

@Busybee143 she even said "because we don't know where you are in your cycle wit wouldn't tell us anything anyway" I said I know where I bloody am I was CD21 the correct day to have them checked that's why I booked in !! And she said oh right okay well we'll have to wait until your next period and then book in for them then although there is a waiting list or about 3-4 weeks so might not get you in next cycle ...

That's literally the one and only thing I needed tested alongside the others as side notes but the progesterone is the main thing I needed to confirm ovulation or not and they can't even tell me that! AF due yesterday/ today and no sign yet so looks like my next period will be October! I'm so angry I'm angry crying

@Minster2012 glad you have datenight to look forward to. I think you are right for what it's worth. Maybe try the softly softly approach, lots of "we" statements.... we need to put ourselves first, we need to do everything we can to make sure ivf goes smoothly, we need to concentrate on us now. That kind of thing so it isn't a you against him situation. Good luck!

@Katao yeah I think it was. I've got everything crossed that I get spotting today for AF and going to have to keep checking when I go to the loo! If not maybe its worth an FRER tomorrow or maybe wait until next week. Looks like my next period will be October time if going by the last cycle

Oh @lucyrp try not to think like that. Just because it doesn't come on time doesn't mean it will be 73 days again. Definitely do a frer if it will ease your mind to at least have that answer.

@Katao I think I have cramp like pains but unsure whether they're in my head or not and I also have a dodgy belly and that's normally before AF 🙈

@lucyrp so sorry to hear this, sometimes I do wonder with the nhs that was the whole point you going in. I don’t think they help with anyone’s mental health at times x

@Runnergirl1 they definitely don't. I've been on medication and had counselling for anxiety for a while but I'm much better now. I was seeing a counsellor right up until COVID but haven't been since but surely they can see that on the system and they're adding to it 🙄 I've spoken to a friend who's dad used to work at this particular surgery and he's told me the specific person to speak to to complain so going to ring later x
