@missgoldilocks I'm with you on strangling people who tell me to relax! Especially as I don't feel particularly stressed about it, I just sometimes worry it won't happen.

But they literally disapprove of me temping or doing OPKs, and say I should throw that stuff out as it will just stress me out and prevent me from getting pregnant. So full of shit and easy for them to say when they all conceived on the first or second cycles without even knowing anything about TTC! I like pointing out to them that if women can get pregnant when in war, when raped, when enduring trauma, depression etc then I'm sure a little bit of stress won't stop me from getting pregnant. Not to mention that if I didn't track and therefore had no clue when/if I ovulate I'd be far more stressed!

I once had a go at OH saying I did all these things for TTC and he can't even take his wellman without me handing it to him and upon hearing my list of things I do he just went "that can't be good for you, you need to relax" and if I could I would have blasted him into oblivion that day 😂

Ladies... are my temps OK?? The data inputted on FF and Premom is exactly the same but FF has me as 5 dpo and premom is 4 dpo, I had a major headache all day on 2 dpo which I know is just from hormones, but my temp this morning has literally shot up :/ any advice??

I'm 17dpo still no AF but frer this morning was bfn so just want AF to turn the f* up now! So I can get on to the next cycle.
You know when they say try for a year before seeing gp, is that 12 cycles or just a year in time?

@Minster2012 - yeah but tbh I’ve already been testing (poas addict) and so far all negative at 9dpo and 10dpo - very very negative and I have my usual pre af spot flare up which I didn’t get with my latest pregnancy so expecting af to show her ugly little face this weekend x

@Hopeful110 christ that's not an easy one... Your temp shift seems to have happened today so I'd guess you ovulated either yday or the day before that? What kind of OPKs are you using btw, you might be throwing FF off by logging the advanced monitor OPK if you were just using ICs. Just saying that as I see FF hasn't actually given you proper crosshairs, just that one line?

@SarahTTC2020 just go to your GP and say you've been trying since "hmmmm, jun/July last year??? So that what, 12 or 13 cycles now hmmmm?" And if they ask about your contraception and they did officially took it out & know the date then it sounds like you are about bang on anyway & most ppl aren't so don't worry lovely xxx

@Juno231 hey, i inputted the cb opk in the advanced monitor result, thats right isnt it? As IC just go in the normal opk reading box? I'm not if because last night we didn't have the fan on in our bedroom whether that is why it's so high today?
Since July 8/9th when I was 95% sure I'd O'd my temps havent really gone back below cover line of 36.02c I think maybe because haven't had AF since my mc in June, or because July I attempted to O and didnt so then my body has tried again now? :/ pcos is a pain in the bum when it comes to ttc

@LaceyMermaid it thought that because your CD12-14 temps are higher than the previous six, which is how a temp shift is calculated. Saying that I think in 2 days' time it will update itself to show you ovulated on CD16 as that dip and temp rise look promising!

@Juno231 ah ok that makes a bit more sense! if I’m honest if I were to say how I feel, it’s that I’m ovulating/just ovulated and it would tie in with my last cycle if AF came in two weeks from now. No idea why I’m not getting peaks on my opks or cb.

That's EXACTLY what I say, if stress stops you from getting oregnnat there would be no babies in war torn countries, or babies born in absolute poverty for gods sake! Besides, you'll know if stress is actually affecting you badly if suddenly your cycles change. The sperm isn't going to be like "welp I can't hit the egg because the host is worrying" hahaha

I'm okay 10dpo and very fucking angry that I'm pretty sure I'm out. I don't want to test and waste tests if I don't feel pregnant but if I continue to pull my hair out I might do a test on Friday or something to just put it to bed. I don't know lol we will see I nor ally don't test but these past few months Iver really become impatient. How are you? X

@Juno231 I know what you mean, if you don't just fall pregnant quickly then all the tracking and stuff give you at least a sense of control or that you are doing what you can. I do think however sometimes we all get a bit wrapped up in it and forget that it's the actual sex that gets us pregnant 😂 annoying as it is I sort of get why people say relax and stop tracking but then people need to realise that different people cope with things differently. As you say you would be more stressed if you didn't track, personally I know temping would stress me out so I don't do it but I like to use opks. Each to their own!
@SarahTTC2020 I would say whichever comes first, 12 cycles or12 months.

@Minster2012 I must keep on top of my cuticles this time too as I always let them go dry and then I get terrible back biters so I've stocked up on some mint and eucalyptus cuticle oil to make them look extra shiny and food! I always nite my nails if i don't have them done so I make sure there is always some polish on them 😂🙈 hoping I'm going to get my phone call tomorrow to speak to a doc. I woke up in the night with some vague cramping but no spotting or anything yet but I could have dreamt the cramps because I want them so bad! Sending lots of love and hugs to you❤️ miss you being your lovely self on here! Although I can't say much as I'm not on here a great deal either !

@Katao I did an IC last night and it was a BFN but saying that I only looked at it as soon as I did it and not 5 mins after 😂 that shows how bothered I am at the moment 😭😂

@Minster2012 I will just have to keep telling myself I am pregnant and this is happening. I was brave and took another cheapie this morning and it was a little darker so that's positive news however it was no where near the control line. I'm going to do a fref at the weekend I think, I am only 12dpo today and I do have short cycles. The spotting seems to have moved to tinged discharge so fingers crossed its stopping and it was just a light 'period'.

@katao ha yes and not everyone has the same libido either! If I didn't track and schedule DTD accordingly we'd never have BD at the right time lol as my OH only wants it once a week! Plus by tracking I've realised my LP and FP are different every cycle so I can't even assume when OD is .

@Juno231 very true! Also I think there is something comforting about knowing you hit the right days even if you don't get your bfp, you know you did your bit and the rest is out of your control.
I totally get it, I wasn't having a go, I can just see why people who get pregnant easily don't get it because it just isn't their experience.

@notyetamumbuttrying oh god tell me about it I've put a load on too, trying to shift the weight now. I've lost 8 stone before I can lose a couple. Again haha I lost 11 pounds these past 3 weeks by restricting corries and going gym so just got to keep going (I had a massive blow out of food Friday to yesterday though 😭) back on track today lol

I've not logged into here again in a while, but just caught up on the thread. Congratulations to all those who have got their BFPs.

Not much has been happening here. Currently 6dpo, we managed to dtd the 4 days before and the day before, but that was it. So not holding out much hope for this cycle. Hoping next cycle we can get things back on track a little more.

We are currently weighing up the idea of a big house move, so not sure what to do. Lots of ideas and questions being thrown around at the moment. It will mean being about 6 hours from my family and we are all pretty close, but on the flip side if we do manage to get pregnant, it will mean that I won't need to return to work.

Loving all the pretty photos of the nails. Off to get mine done in the next hour.
