Also the reason I started myself in these two things is because I am referred to the recurrent mc clinic but it will take months to be seen and want to do everything in power now to hold onto a pregnancy

2020wish · 24/07/2020 23:26

I’ll also point out that my blood clotting tests came back normal. But my mother has a blood clotting disorder . And so far my hcg and test lines have been strongest this pregnancy while on aspirin so I’m hoping it’s working

1990EM · 24/07/2020 23:40

Sorry just catching up (again!) Still got a couple pages to read but big congrats to @calimommy! ❤

calimommy · 24/07/2020 23:47

@2020wish seems like a good plan. I took aspirin and progesterone after my second loss and that resulted in a full term pregnancy

calimommy · 24/07/2020 23:50

@2020wish I was prescribed those and my consultant said not start the progesterone until after a BFP. I had another two pregnancies after that, neither with the medication. One was full term and one was lost.

1990EM · 24/07/2020 23:53

@MichT4 just saw your question.. no I never got to the first step, I was due to go in for bloods to decide about Clomid when I got a BFP. Then got what felt like a miraculous second pregnancy when my first baby was only a few months old. When we weren't even trying 🙈after all my worrying about not even being able to have one i was so happy though! Preganancy number 3 was after a couple years of birth control. I got a BFP after a few months after removing the implant but it sadly ended in MC at nearly 10 weeks, which is what led me here 💓 now pregnant again in what seems like another miracle. So long story short, don't have any experience with Clomid or metformin but have heard SO many good stories about people with PCOS getting pregnant so quickly on even just metformin! And i wouldn't hesitate to ask for it if I had been trying a number of months!

2020wish · 25/07/2020 00:23

@calimommy how much aspirin did u take? Sit used to be 75mg but mummies being prescribed it now say it’s increased to 150mg per uk guidelines. On I know you can get it prescribed I just mean a gp won’t but usually the consultants will as it’s their area of expertise when you are referred after a loss or pay private to RMC . Also did u have the progesterone pesseries

calimommy · 25/07/2020 00:28

@2020wish progesterone pessaries and 75mg aspirin. When I was pregnant with my third child I had a different Dr and they didn't want me to take the medication that time.

2020wish · 25/07/2020 00:37

@calimommy I’d love to get the pesseries but will have to wait until I’m finally seen at RMC :( so for now I’ve just ordered the cream

Rainbowhope11 · 25/07/2020 04:12

@2020wish thank you so much for all that information, I am definitely going to do some googling so I know what questions to ask at my doctors appointment next month ❤️

DBTJ · 25/07/2020 04:48

Would strongly advised to speak to doc. I have now stopped with the aspirin as they found a sch during the scan.
The doc said it is my choice to stop as it was never prescribed I spoke about taking 150mg he said basically hell no. If I wanted to continue with it then stick to 75mg but to be on the safe side I have just stopped for now with aspirin. I guess I will not no if the aspirin was the cause of it.

SmileyT · 25/07/2020 06:15

@MichT4 OH also had a pizza when he got in from work 🤤 think there are a couple slices left so might have that for lunch, this healthy eating is going fantastic 😂

@MrsK21 hoping you got home and had your battered sausage 😝

@Renna I'm sad this wasn't your month but glad that AF came as I feel like being in limbo is worse than anything else and at least you're in a new cycle where you can try again, although frustrating from what I read it's not unusual to have one longer cycle every now and again and if you were on contraption for a while you may have just missed the random longer one before. Stay positive and I really hope you get that BFP before you come round to your due date x

Welcome @BEESY90 x

@VP91x how are you feeling about starting back up with work? It's all from home isn't it? DP has decided we should go to nandos today as apparently there is a discount if you eat in, so this is my date night 😂 no blood tests results but I've never had a blood test there so I guess that makes sense, I was quite impressed you can contact GP through there, I had seen on another thread somebody talking about leaving a message for Dr about a sick note and I'm guess this is what they meant 🤔

@Rainbowhope11 I did the grapefruit juice and EPO in the first half of cycle as helps with fertile CM and then pomegranate and calc flour aswell throughout whole cycle to help with uterine lining and implantation. No idea if they made a difference but like everything when ttc I thought why not give it a go x

@2020wish ahh I'm so glad you are being looked after, am I right in thinking that two of your losses were CPs? I think you should stay super positive as you've already passed some milestones. You are being looked after, not working, taking all the supps to support this pregnancy there is nothing else you can do apart from just enjoy it 🥰

@DBTJ My sch was too small to be seen on a scan a week after the first time they mentioned it in my last pregnancy so they can definitely deal with themselves, do you have another scan booked? x

VP91x · 25/07/2020 06:39

@BEESY90 oh that's so annoying that the pill just masks it. Is there anything they have suggested prescribing with the unexplained weight gain?

@MichT4 haha aw, sounds lovely though. Had steak with jacket potato. But, today I've started my calorie deficit again with lower carb. Upping my water too, need to shift this weight and hopefully it all helps.

@SmileyT yeah, alright! It's going to be weird starting a new job with all these social restrictions, but it is what it is! I'll do 3 days in the office and 2 at home. It'll get me back into a good routine though. Bella will go nursery full time for the first time and I got the invoice through yesterday 🤮🤮🤮. Oooh, has that started!? I thought it was August. Enjoy 😍😍. Yeah, they should say more about apps like this would save people ringing up for test results etc because you don't even get the levels over the phone. Xx

Morning all, just done my morning opk and still flashy smiley face at the moment. Think we will get one on this morning and before bed tonight, are we doing it too much or is there no such thing lol. Hopefully the peak will come by tomorrow 🤞🏻

2020wish · 25/07/2020 07:29

@DBTJ sorry to hear they found that, my sister had one with every pregnancy, and bleed so bad but all babies continued on and she’s three beautiful children. Hers were quite big I believe also and they sorted themselves out. Hope u get sorted

@SmileyT yes both were cp and one 7 weeks so fingers crossed x

Pugprincess · 25/07/2020 07:37

@2020wish I have just ordered that progesterone cream you mentioned, I’m thinking to save it for if I got a BFP rather than use it in tww? Cause if my periods going to come I don’t know if I should mess with hormones as might prevent period coming on time 💭

Pugprincess · 25/07/2020 07:40

I know I’ve just had the one mc so far but I’m usually a brown spotted days before AF. And my mc started with brown spotting so I just worry that my progesterone starts dropping, not sure why this time whether my body messed it up or if there was something wrong with the baby...

2020wish · 25/07/2020 07:45

@Pugprincess yes wait til BFP x

2020wish · 25/07/2020 07:49

AF is finally officially late today. Flip that was a long wait since I found out 10days ago. Lol but good line progression. Swear I’m going to stop testing now..... I swear. Ok someone please come and remove the 50 odd spare ICs I have in my bathroom

Thanks for the link to this @VP91x

Pugprincess · 25/07/2020 07:54

@2020wish aww they look great! 😁 hopefully everything you are doing is paying off 😁 thank you for all your advice 🙌

Renna · 25/07/2020 08:06

@2020wish Yay to AF being late and to lovely lines x x

SmileyT · 25/07/2020 08:17

@VP91x haha I said to OH you sure it's not August, he checked and it definitely isn't on yet, not just ttc info I get on here 😂 Yeah it's going to be crazy to start a new role but I guess you won't have any experience of it being different so might be easier for you to adjust x

@2020wish yay line progression looks good, not long until your scan now, just keep giving yourself mini-milestones and hopefully won't go too slow x

@Pugprincess I don't think you can have too much sex unless OH has low sperm count, so just do it as much as you want as long as you're enjoying it 😈

Hayleylou89 · 25/07/2020 08:35

@2020wish love them lines so so happy for u!!!. X

@calimommy congrats to u too what a lovely suprise x

@Renna sad but also glad ur af has arrived cos that limbo must have been torture x x

I had a call yest from hosp so my consultant must of shown the head consultant my notes and hes pitting me straight on progesterone pessaries As of asap, so im guessing they are being really precautious since they dnt normal see ppl until 16 weeks and they are already treating me at 12... hopefully this prevents me needing the stitch but i think this might just help delay needing that to be honest for a few extra weeks but i just hve a feeling ill be getting that too. Iv requested to have my cervix measured again before my holiday not after as i just couldnt go away not knowing where its af so iv got that in a couple of weeks and hopefully it hasnt shrunk anymore 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 least i have my answers to what went so wrong last time... just a shame i was never put down this preterm labour route cos the treatment to my cervix in the past didnt "qualify" as i only had 9mm removed not 10mm which is the guidlines for referral ... although i had biopsies ontop of the 9mm they dnt count aparently 😒😒 but all of sudden now the rules have changed since and i would be referred if id had those treatments now so i can say that my bad experience has helped changed the rules and helped other mums/ dads to not go through what we did xx

BEESY90 · 25/07/2020 08:36

@VP91x I know having pcos can make weight loss harder. Something to do with the pancreas not working so well? I guess try hard to eat well and go back on the pill as soon as I have had baby. When menopause happens it isn’t a problem!!
