@Runnergirl1 I'm so sorry to hear what you've been through. I hope your body is kind and resets nice and quickly. I know the feeling of wanting it as soon as possible. Maybe take a PG test every few days and when that is negative, just start an occasional OPK? No need to rely heavily on anything but I know for me it feels better if I'm doing something, even if it's not overly conclusive.

We are here for you of course if you need anything or just to talk. Sending love xx

Runnergirl1 · 28/07/2020 14:10

@MichT4 thank you ever so much. This is a lovely group of ladies who have helped me so much already. I will probs do that the pregnancy test has faded but is still strong with me expelling it so recently but it stopped growing nearly 6 weeks ago now x

littletandme · 28/07/2020 14:33

Hello ladies. How is everyone?

I took a little time off MN after the chemical, everything was a bit too much but last weekend DH and I dropped DD off for a sleepover at PILs on Saturday morning then enjoyed a nice lunch out and didn't collect her until the following afternoon after a lush Sunday roast so feeling back on form now ready for ov! Hopefully in 3 days time, although my apps are predicting CD17 as that is when I ovulated last cycle but that was my first one since the MC.

So we are officially entering FW, got plans with hubby to work around his shifts as annoyingly he is on night shift on CD13 and CD14!

MrsK21 · 28/07/2020 14:48

Hi @Runnergirl1 sorry to hear you've been messed about too, it's really not nice at the best of times and makes this difficult even worse.
I think you will still get high OPKs if a positive pregnancy test but hopefully the HCG leaves your system quite quickly now you've passed everything. I was very much in the wanting to get preg asap after mc, but as I mentioned before, I don't think these things can be rushed in any way. Bodies are so unpredictable and after a mc, even more so, so please be kind to yourself and try not to stress too much if it doesn't happen straight away, you've been through a lot!

@MichT4 I managed to get my follow up booked in for next week Thursday, so I'm classing this as a small victory in the grand scheme of everything! Thanks for the pep talk :D

MichT4 · 28/07/2020 14:54

@MrsK21 well done! I guess that balances out the delay this end, which is probably better than having everything now and then having to wait for 2 weeks!

@littletandme sounds like a lovely and well needed break, and has brought you nicely to your FW. I'm sure even with the night shifts you'll be refreshed and ready to cover yourself well with DTD xx

Runnergirl1 · 28/07/2020 15:15

@MrsK21. Thank you that’s much appreciated. That’s it isn’t it we just have to hope our bodies regulate themselves so we can go again. I’m 34 in September so that would be a nice birthday present if I can get pregnant by then. It’s not long but I have to remain hopeful and positive xx

Pugprincess · 28/07/2020 15:22

@Runnergirl1 has the bleeding stopped now? My hcg was still lurking when I started testing with the clear blue opk and I’ve managed to get a high and then peak for ovulation. I’ve done a preg test recently but il do one tomorrow morning with fmu just to check if it’s stark white yet. You might be surprised cause a week after my bleeding stopped I had loads of ovulation pain so fingers crossed it will get going again quickly. Everyone’s different but there is hope xx

Northernsoul90 · 28/07/2020 15:32

@Runnergirl1 I'm glad that everything is passed now and you are feeling a little more positive. Sorry that it was so painful and quite prolonged for you 😣. HCG will affect your opks until you get a negative or an extremely faint positive - HCG levels have to be zero or close to zero to be able to ovulate again. I had a mc on the 8th June and got a negative pregnancy test finally last Monday (6 weeks later) I then started going opks and got a peak on Thursday so seem to have ovulated a few days after hcg reaching 0. Hopefully your hcg will go down quickly 🤞🏼🤞🏼. I definitely agree with going with the flow that's what I'm also trying to do as I've not had a period yet either since mc - I'm just hoping I have actually ovulated but will keep dtd regularly just in case I'm not actually in the tww yet xx

Runnergirl1 · 28/07/2020 16:12

@Pugprincess and @Northernsoul90. No I haven’t stopped bleeding yet but hoping to get going as soon as it has. Thank you for the help. I guess everyone is different and all our bodies do things at different times. Mine seemed to want to hang onto my pregnancy longer than it should so might take a while. I guess I’ll just keep checking as I have a few cheap tests left over. So a week after bleeding or not long after hcg 🤞🏻

VP91x · 28/07/2020 17:47

@Lollol86 ahh I'll definitely keep an eye out for it if it comes back any time soon. Such a shame all of these things have been paused 😩.

@MichT4 yeah absolutely and if you booked for the early part of the year you'd be fine to fly regardless! How was work? Yeah it's been a busy day really, I literally did not feel like being at home at all, so just got the little bits on my housework list that I'd been avoiding and then stayed out all day! Just got home. That OPK was definitely lighter. I hope your temps reflect this xx

@HopeForRainbowbaby all okay here! How are you getting on? 🥰 Almost FW for you again xx

Oh @MrsK21 that is infuriating I'd be so so angry at them! Especially as it is meant to be a private consult. You'd think they'd look at these things before booking you in. On the other hand Im really glad your manager is being supportive. My manager was a nightmare during mine, one of the reasons I left the job! How were the bloods? X

@Runnergirl1 I'm really sorry you had a painful experience passing the rest of your pregnancy. I hope your body settles soon and you can feel more yourself and ready to TTC when up to it. Everyone has given you brilliant advice regarding testing etc. Sending you a big hug, always here for a vent or reassurance❤️

@littletandme Ahh that sounds like such a nice time and break! Glad you both got that time together 🥰 also fab that you're entering FW. Hopefully you can work around your husbands shifts easily x

@VP91x yeah that's true. Just not sure if I didn't get pg til December, if it would be too early?
Work was ok, a pretty quiet day.
Your day sounds lovely. It's nice to be out the house sometimes
I hope my temps play tonight too!
How's potty training? Success? xx

VP91x · 28/07/2020 20:22

@MichT4 why too early? Yeah it was definitely needed to just stay out today!

I hope your temps do that too. Yeah she's doing really well actually. I still haven't braved it for going out for a few hours, but will do soon! Xx

Hey lovelies, just catching up as per after a busy day at work and then going straight out to dinner at a friends.

@MrsK21 I'm so sorry you are getting messed around with your scan, I'd be pissed but sounds like your manager is being supportive and it really does make all the difference and glad you got a follow up booked for next week x

@Runnergirl1 I'm so sorry about all you've been through but yeah take the 1st cycle with a pinch of salt, things may still be a bit off but like somebody else said I ovulated a few days after getting a faint positive on a CB early detection and opks did seem a tad high to start with but didn't get a peak until ovulation so reckon some can still catch it x

@MichT4 where are you planning on going away next year? (Sorry I may have missed this as kinda skimmed some messages 🙈) I was worried about booking a flight but I'm glad I did, a lot of places have cancellation options at the moment so definitely worth not putting your life on hold x

@littletandme glad that you had a nice weekend and I totally feel you with trying around OH working night shifts, mine normally works 4 in a row, which was a nightmare when it fell on fertile week because I'd get in at 5pm and he'd have to leave at 6pm so no way to make it that casual 'when you fancy it sex' 😂

@Mommybear05 how are you feeling today? x

HopeForRainbowbaby · 28/07/2020 21:04

@VP91x indeed;) sometimes it feels so long going from period to OV to ttw and so on. How have you been ?

@Runnergirl1 im sorry about your miscarriage. I hope that your post MC hormones stabilize soon. Biggest hugs ❤️

Do we still have anyone testing in July ?

Mommybear05 · 28/07/2020 21:11

@SmileyT nice to hear that life is getting back to normal for you with this covid business being able to go to friends and things. I’m good thanks. Still in longest 2ww ever haha! My emotions are all over the place this time. Birthday tomorrow so we off to safari park and a meal on the night so that will be nice. Cd 23 Ovia is telling me to test in four days. Tiny amount of brown spotting yesterday at seven days post ovulation. How are you feeling? Xxx

MichT4 · 28/07/2020 21:36

@VP91x I didn't know if there are rules to flying in the first 12 weeks or whatever 🤔

@SmileyT not sure really, somewhere luxurious! We went to Dominican Republic last year and that was beautiful. I guess it just depends what travel is like. I suspect by then we will know what to expect.

Enjoy dinner - where are you off to? xx

fafi · 28/07/2020 23:22

@Mommybear05 Happy Birthday! 🥳

VP91x · 29/07/2020 06:23

@Mommybear05 Happy Birthday 🥳🥳 hope you have a wonderful day and eat lots of cake/have wine! x

@HopeForRainbowbaby I know what you mean, I'll be glad to be back at work next week mainly because I'll be distracted the whole day and I know it will go quickly. I've been okay, I'm on CD7. AF was a day and a bit shorter than normal which is nice. How are you? Are you back at work?x

@MichT4 oh no, I don't think I've ever seen anything for first 12w just always last tri. Definitely treat yourself ❤️ Dominican R has been my fav holiday isn't it gorgeous!!
Dare I ask about your temps? X

@Mommybear05 Happy Birthday xx

Lollol86 · 29/07/2020 07:25

@Mommybear05 happy birthday 🥳

MichT4 · 29/07/2020 07:29

@VP91x still low! 😤 and when I say low, a little lower than yesterday. Maybe I won't ovulate this cycle, or it could still be to come? I feel silly to have thought I would have a shorter cycle for my first one, or I'd be lucky enough to have a straightforward month. Goes to show how unsettled our bodies must be cycle 1.
Another day, another OPK I guess 😂

How are you today?

@Mommybear05 happy birthday! Have a lovely day xx

Mommybear05 · 29/07/2020 07:30

Aw thanks everyone for the birthday messages. How kind 😊❤️. Just a day of fun and no worries of ttc today! I think I need it! I hope you are all ok xx

Northernsoul90 · 29/07/2020 07:31

@Mommybear05 Happy birthday! 🥳 xx

Hope everyone is good this morning!!

SmileyT · 29/07/2020 07:34

@Mommybear05 Happy Birthday lovely 🥳 sounds like you've got a fab day planned so try and enjoy it and for today at least don't worry about what your future holds and just enjoy what your little family x

@MichT4 haha we had an early Indian, I was still in bed by 9.30 😂 ooh I loved Dom Rep, I think the Caribbean has had much less cases of COVID than us lot but I guess we don't know what will happen next year. I think the NHS say months 4-6 are the easiest to travel but think the first trimester is more about morning sickness and chances of something going wrong and wanting medical care, I don't think there are added risks 🤔
