@Ltay2 I don't know anything about temping to I cant comment but sounds positive from what I hear on here 😃 I'm getting more intrigued by temping all the time with the chart sharing, I might have to give it a go if I don't succeed this month 🤔 I don't think it would suit me but starting to think if I didn't stress about it then what harm.
@notyetamumbuttrying I'm good thanks. A little bit in limbo. Got a peak at cd8 but as it was so early I'm holding off on counting dpo yet and still doing opks. I'm cd13 now and they are still low. At least the tww will go quick if I dont get another peak as I'll be half way through it 😂
@Franklydear I was reading another thread a few days ago about age gaps and someone said the best age gap is the ine you get 😃 pros and cons toall dynamics. I thought that wasa great way of looking at it. Have you set yourself a cut off to trying or are you going to leave it to fate?

LaceyMermaid · 27/07/2020 14:38

@Franklydear I know exactly what you mean I’m 38 so got a bit of time but I do worry I’m not as young as I was first times round! I think 43/44 is fine my friend had her daughter (now 11) at 43 and was absolutely fine and is a fantastic mum!
@katao I think you’re spot on, if you are lucky enough to have children age gaps are just what they are. I had my first 3 dc within 5 years of each other and was mayhem for a while but nice now. I think bigger age gaps help because you can give each child more 1:1 attention probably.

Ltay2 · 27/07/2020 14:46

@Katao This is the only month in a very long time I've actually stuck to it! I was using bbt tracking as a form of prevention before ttc and stuck to it for years but don't know if ttc has given it some added stress 🙈 it's only really effective if you get a solid 4+ hours sleep before testing so mine aren't always 100% accurate but it does help with pinpointing ovulation.

Katao · 27/07/2020 15:06

@Ltay2 ya I'm not sure my sleep quality is good enough and my brain takes a while to switch on in the morning so remembering to do it straight away might be a problem 😂 but it looks so interesting!
@LaceyMermaid absolutely. I mean I have notions about the age/gender dynamics I would like but in reality if I'm lucky enough to have happy healthy children I will count my blessings!

Vil10 · 27/07/2020 15:18

@LT103 exactly there's no harm done by trying it!

@Ltay2 hahaha I'm the same! Had pomegranate juice with my pineapple and munching on 3 Brazil nuts now😂

@blodyn91 I'm going to test on Sunday! When are you??

Vil10 · 27/07/2020 15:20

Can anyone enlighten me on the whole like heart rate and ovulation and implantation etc? I can track my heart rate on my Fitbit!

Franklydear · 27/07/2020 15:24

@katao we initially said untill next Xmas, but is basically based on my wanting to give birth before I am 44

Ltay2 · 27/07/2020 15:33

@Vil10 This was the original thread that interested me in terms of heart rate (the whole reason I bought a Fitbit 😂). Obviously there's loads of messages on there but if you have a scan through the first few pages it kind of explains the theory. It is only a theory there's no real scientific evidence like there is with bbt but it's definitely interesting and you do tend to notice a pattern throughout the cycle! There's a new thread now which you'll find a link for at the end if you want to carry on following!

Tracking your cycle and possible bfp with rhr on Fitbit. www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/3822976-Tracking-your-cycle-and-possible-bfp-with-rhr-on-Fitbit

Katao · 27/07/2020 15:51

@Franklydear aw well fingers crossed for a bump before Christmas so, that still gives you a few more chances. It's tough how time just seems to steam ahead!

Juno231 · 27/07/2020 15:56

@vil10 it's very much based on your own patterns. What I often see is AF/just after AF is the lowest RHR of the cycle, steadily increasing for ovulation and then peaking in the TWW. It drops again for AF but if pregnant seems to at the very least stay elevated and for many it carries on going up up up.

LT103 · 27/07/2020 15:59

Does anyone do the pineapple core thing? I was just reading about it and thought might be worth a try. I think at 5 dpo im too late this cycle. However I had a pineapple in the house which I was cutting up so I’ve kept the core and blitzed it up with a little of the normal flesh and a spot of orange juice and have frozen it into ice cubes and I can try it next month if this month isn’t positive. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ltay2 · 27/07/2020 16:11

@LT103 I did pineapple this time from 3DPO-5DPO. I only started at 3DPO as it took a few days to confirm ovulation! Stopped at 5DPO as I'd read conflicting advice of when to stop. Various articles said either 5, 6 or 7 but I went with 5 as it scared me with saying it potentially can harm implantation after this stage (obviously no real evidence of this so go with what you think best!). Still yet to find out if it's helped as only 9DPO!

notyetamumbuttrying · 27/07/2020 16:40

That's very true @Katao!! Best of luck 🍀

@LT103 I've eaten a whole pineapple the day of ov and nothing. I prob did it wrong though if you're supposed to space it out.

So I have the docs calling me tomorrow and will ask to get bloods done and see if hubby can get SA booked in too. I'm cd2 so hope they can do his sample before FW starts, or after it I guess. I guess after it would be better actually wouldn't it.

Juno231 · 27/07/2020 17:30

@LT103 got my pineapple ready, was planning on having it daily until 6DPO :)

Tried the Pom brand of pomegranate juice this month and oh my word it's so much better than the other crap I was drinking 👌. For anyone interested!

LT103 · 27/07/2020 17:32

@notyetamumbuttrying I read that you can take it from day of ovulation but no later than day 5. I’m day 5 just now so I’ll try it next time. Worth a shot

notyetamumbuttrying · 27/07/2020 17:34

Always worth a shot! @LT103
Thanks for the tip @Juno231 I love pomegranate juice as well 👌🏾

LT103 · 27/07/2020 17:36

@Juno231 I love the pom juice. Usually use it to make an amazing Moroccan pomegranate chicken dish I found online then drink the rest. What benefit does it have? I can always add it in too 🙈

blodyn91 · 27/07/2020 17:38

@Vil10 I have one frer. Its whether I do it Sat at 10dpo or take it with me to my parents and be sneaky 😬😬
Tomorrow at 6dpo is my last pinapple day.
I found it impossible to find pom juice. I managed to find a carton at morrisons but its from concentrated. Today is food shop day, can't wait to stock up on chocolate 😂

Juno231 · 27/07/2020 17:41

@LT103 thickens your uterine lining! My super light periods means I always worry my lining is too thin lol. Just have a glass per day during the TWW although it's beneficial to take throughout - I just choose to focus on ass juice in the FP do can't be bothered!

LT103 · 27/07/2020 17:45

@Juno231 oh dear. Now I need to read up on pineapples, pomegranate juice, grapefruit juice (which against popular opinion I really like 🤦🏻‍♀️), Brazil Nuts hahaha. There’s more to this Than I thought!!

@blodyn91 I’m 5 dpo just now, I was thinking about testing on Saturday. I have started spotting from 8-10dpo last 2 cycles which is always a nightmare cos it pretty much takes away any excitement. Tho I had cramping from ovulation last cycle and from a few dpo one before that but so far I have no cramps so I’m taking that as a good sign!! Just super sensitive nipples 🙈

Vil10 · 27/07/2020 17:52

@Ltay2 @Juno231 ohhh okay! Maybe I'll look at my rhr now and see if I can spot a pattern! Thanks girls!

@blodyn91 I say wait until 11dpo on the Sunday then we'll be testing the same day😂 I ate the rest of my pineapple today, I think Pom juice is until 10dpo so you still have time, I got mine in Tesco! Oreo chocolate to be exact😂

LT103 · 27/07/2020 17:54

Ohhh @Vil10 @blodyn91 were all testing this weekend 😬😬. Good luck!! X

Vil10 · 27/07/2020 17:54

@Juno231 my rhr is all over the place I can't even spot a pattern😂

LT103 · 27/07/2020 17:57

What is your resting hr supposed to do? I ovulated 22nd but it was rising before that and still rising?

13 lucky for some? No...cos our bodies are f**k boys 🤪
Vil10 · 27/07/2020 18:21

@LT103 @blodyn91 ahhh how exciting!! Surely one of us has to get a BFP!
