Afternoon lovelies,

Have been catching up intermittently this week.

Welcome to the newbies, sorry for those who got AF and 🤞🏻to those who are waiting to test.

Loved seeing all the baby pics, your hair @Missgoldilocks was amazing; my toddler has curly hair and as it's getting longer it's growing in proper ringlets.

How are you doing @Mococo1?

Hope DS has a good party, and the cake is yummy @Minster2012

Love the new kitten @lucyrp

Just got home after a week away in a caravan with friends. Not feeling hopeful fort this month as we didn't manage anything whilst we were away (as expected-9 of us in the caravan 😂😂) so have only dtd on CD11 in the kitchen before we left and today which is CD19 whilst unpacking the car. No idea when I ovulated either so will await AF a week Wednesday lol

Xxx

Busybee143 · 26/07/2020 15:59

Hello, been busy the last few days, hope your all OK. Af has come for me so on to cycle 8, maybe I'll get lucky this month eh. Is it this part of my cycle I'm supposed to drink grapefruit juice? Also when should I eat pineapple? I'm going to start temping this cycle so I'll be needing someone's expert opinions at some point please ladies ❤️

Katao · 26/07/2020 16:12

@2alreadywantanother well if this is your month and you conceive a son you can name him Matt 😉🤣🤣

Missgoldilocks · 26/07/2020 16:15

@Clairey844 this is my hair now, but it has taken me really looking after it for a few years to get the ringlets back so make sure you teach your daughter how to look after them :) my mum always straightened her hair and hated her curls so I was never taught, I walked around with waves thinking it was so curly lol now when I look back on photos a few years back I'm like oh my god my hair was so damaged!! Lots of deep conditioning and sulfate free products! People think I sit there and curl it 😂 like hell

13 lucky for some? No...cos our bodies are f**k boys 🤪
2alreadywantanother · 26/07/2020 16:16

😂😂

Missgoldilocks · 26/07/2020 16:16

Not so much gold anymore, since dying it was bad for it too! Haha

Clairey844 · 26/07/2020 16:27

@Missgoldilocks this is her hair at the moment, she was 2 in March and it's only been the last 6 months or so that it's started growing and we've realised how curly it is.

I probably need to research how to care for it properly; I have always wanted curls and she'll probably hate them 😂

Juno231 · 26/07/2020 16:27

@Busybee143 ah I'm sorry bee, I'm sure I'll join you on cycle 8 in a couple of weeks! Grapefruit can be started now and the pineapple is from OD to 5DPO. I'm really enjoying BBT so am looking forward to seeing your charts/answering questions as best I can!

Finally got my peak! Darker than the one this morning and registering as 100% on Femometer. OH has promised DTD during half time of his premier league game 😂. Hoping bbt will show it actually happened 🤞

@missgoldilocks your hair is gorgeous and I always find it shocking how many curly haired ladies haven't got a clue how to take care of their hair, so I'm glad yours are so well taken care of ❤️

Newbie0818 · 26/07/2020 16:39

@2alreadywantanother that was a quickie haha!

@Missgoldilocks I'm so jelly about your hair!

@Juno231 yay for peak! Get on it girl!

Missgoldilocks · 26/07/2020 16:43

@Clairey844 her hair is gorgeous 😍 there is some curly products for kids I hear great things about and it's called curlyellie take a look x

@Juno231 thank you ❤️ same! It took a lot of research after realising how damaged they were lol but lots of great progress, as you can see from the attached pic! 2018 was when my hair was the MOST damaged lol to now :) so I am quite proud of the clap back

13 lucky for some? No...cos our bodies are f**k boys 🤪
LV1987 · 26/07/2020 16:53

Oh wow @missgoldilocks that really is a massive transformation! What did you do to help it along? I have very mixed hair... Poker straight and lighter brown on top, wavy/loose curls and very dark brown auburn underneath. And now rather a few Greys which stick straight out from my head 🤦‍♀️ I have zero idea what I should do with the curly bits, as like your mum, mine straightened her curls to death 🙄

Katao · 26/07/2020 16:53

@Missgoldilocks do you use the curly girl method by any chance? Your hair is beautiful.

2alreadywantanother · 26/07/2020 17:43

@newbie0818 it has to be when u have 2 kids running in and out of the house the whole time 😂

Hopeful110 · 26/07/2020 17:49

Hey ladies,

So I'm now on CD 41...Still bfn's and still no sign on AF who is now 4 days late...i am now eagerly awaiting for her to show up (never thought I'd say that). I'm still doing OPKs as now I'm thinking I may not have actually ovulated as AF isn't here. So I'm prepping for my next cycle... im taking a few vitamins and my Myo Inositol arrived today as I've read alot of things about it helping regulating cycles and ovulation for women with PCOS.

Do you think I can still take Vitamin C and B6 along side it?

@Missgoldilocks your hair is literally amazing! 😍 I soooo wish I had curly hair :(

blodyn91 · 26/07/2020 18:25

@Juno231 heres my femometer chart, since I know you're a chart geek like me. We have it all covered dtd wise, but its a little worrying that my temp has taken so long to rise.

@Katao 😆😆🤣 Matt suggestion

@Busybee143 bbt and opks can be fun, a little addictive, but you learn so much

Back from a bike ride- our destination pub was closed 😩 gutted

13 lucky for some? No...cos our bodies are f**k boys 🤪
Newbie0818 · 26/07/2020 18:26

@Hopeful110 you definitely can :)

Hopeful110 · 26/07/2020 18:31

Thanks @Newbie0818 :) hopefully they will work

Juno231 · 26/07/2020 18:39

@blodyn91 slow rise should be okay as long as they are higher overall in the LP vs the FP. 🤞you have this baby attending your wedding next year 😍

Just realised my testing date will be 6th of Aug which is also the day we're off on a long weekend to the beach with lots of friends and booze. So I'll have pros and cons regardless of whether it's a BFP or BFN! Everyone will wonder why the hell I'm not drinking if it's a BFP though 🙊

Vil10 · 26/07/2020 18:54

Sofa sex✅ Oreo chocolate✅ now that's been done during FW and on 4dpo so obviously I'm expecting a blazing bfp, that's how it works isn't it??

lucyrp · 26/07/2020 19:23

Omg I just accidentally found and pulled out a tick from my new kitten 😭 I don't know what I'm supposed to do about it and now I'm worried ☹️

blodyn91 · 26/07/2020 19:31

@lucyrp get some spot on for her, get the flea and tick one. Usually in a locked cabinet in pets at home or from vets. She'll be fine 😊 If you do pull one off make sure you twist it, if the legs stay attached it can get infected, can buy a handy tool for this. We always get them on our cat and dog when we go back to my parents.

@Juno231 yes phew 😅 stressing over nothing

lucyrp · 26/07/2020 19:35

@blodyn91 I found it by acccident otherwise I would have used tweezers to pull it out was just playing with her and felt something in her fur so grabbed and pulled it out and then realised it had legs and was like omg 😫 it was only very small tho, another of my friends has now convinced ms she has fleas as she hasn't been de flead but I can't see any on her and she's not itching but I'm a very panicky person 🙈🙈

notyetamumbuttrying · 26/07/2020 19:45

Thanks @Minster2012 the worst happened today! I came on 2 days early so LP did not go bk to normal since stopping agnus castus boo, but I did have a lovely day and no probing questions, yay! Great looking cake! Hope DS likes tomorrow! I'm a bit pissed and I'm on the train bk to London without my mask on whoops 🤫

Missgoldilocks · 26/07/2020 19:47

@Hopeful110 thank you! I think you could take those vitamins along side it but maybe research a little to make sure? I hope the inositol works for you, I've hears agnus castus is really good too x

@katao I do! But I'm not one of those who does not wash my hair and only Co washes lol :) thank you x

@lv1987 thanks my lovely x
I would start off by not straightening it ever (until its in good condition so that you can) by a silk scarf or silk pillowcase to sleep on/in, pineapple your hair at night and buy curly girl method friendly products so things with no parabens sulfates things like that. Deep condition weekly, look into protein treatments (maybe start with monthly protein and see if your hair likes it or not)
In the beginning it's difficult because my hair is quite fine and there is a lot of curly products on the market that for very thick hair and it can weigh your hair down. If your hair is thinner like mine then I'd suggest to try boucleme products first of all and see how you get on, they're light enough but still with hold. It sounds like a lot lol but as you can see it really pays off!! I also style my hair while it's soaking wet so when I get out of the bath I put my products in my hair while it's wet and scrunch trying to keep the moisture in, then diffuse on the lowest heat setting. Also for shampoo and conditioner I find shea moisture weightless range excellent as it isn't too heavy and it's not too expensive either! Sorry for the essay but hope it helps!! Xx

Missgoldilocks · 26/07/2020 19:48

@Minster2012 you saved that cake!! looks great well done :)
