Hello, just a new thread for August...will add people as and when they finish with the 'July pact'

I think it's important to have a relevant thread once you are looking forward and gearing up for the next cycle...
Or chat turns to tww's when we will want to start chatting about ovulation again...

Will run both threads alongside each other ❤️

So lucky I can wee on command.

The instructions did indeed tell me not to use fmu

I think even I can see this line! I’m tempted to start the CB ones tomorrow? I’ve got 18 sticks left so hopefully I should get my fertile window in those days if the opk is showing even a hint? Is that right?

I have no idea why my cat ended up In there 😂

claireb707 · 06/08/2020 13:18

@Sansa87 sorry but id say they weren't even close to being positive

These are mine in my fw last month. I don't think I've seen mine where there is no test line. I get quite dark lines around ovulation even with fmu

@claireb707 I’m not after a close to positive, I think I just needed a sign that the hormones are rising slightly so I can use the expensive ones. I was hoping even a faint line after the bfn meant the surgery was successful and my body is going to ovulate.

I don’t know if that makes sense 😂 I caved and did the CB which predictably came up with low fertility, so will give my baseline, & hopefully within the next week I’ll get the first of the 4 days high fertility period 😊

Ah gotcha ☺️

Makes sense, I think the CB have a guideline on when to start testing in so eg if cycle is 28 days start testing day x etc

SVC11 · 06/08/2020 13:48

@LeopardLover fingers crossed for you! Not long to wait really! Although it does feel like forever.

@BronzeSilverGold13 welcome! If you're due today maybe test tomorrow as you'll deffo be late? Obviously the longer the better though. X

Sansa87 · 06/08/2020 13:48

@claireb707 that’s correct, and they worked perfectly for me when I first started using them, but I’m not sure if my cycle is going to be perfect after the surgery for the mmc. I think with CB on a normal cycle I should have started testing 2 days ago, but I’ve heard of people who’s have ridiculously long cycles straight after a Mc. I’m thinking maybe because I got that faint line, my cycle might not be far out what it normally is.

That might just be wishful thinking though 😬

BronzeSilverGold13 · 06/08/2020 13:49

@SVC11 yeah I thought that, I'll probably try fmu with my ic in the morning I'm scared if I'm honest.

RMarieClaire · 06/08/2020 13:51

@Sansa87 I'm in a similar boat. I've had my high CB advanced but I had 10 days of that last cycle and it's so hot I don't want to dtd lots unless I'm actually close to ovulating. Here's is my IC. I've noticed a slight increase in cm but only mild. I think I'm quite a long way off peak yet.

Have you noticed any change in your cm?

Sorry 😢 I misunderstood what you were looking for. I'll 🤐 now

SVC11 · 06/08/2020 13:53

@BronzeSilverGold13 I know how you feel. I got a faint line at 9dpo and now I'm worried to test again in case thats it... I'm testing Saturday and il be 12dpo so well done for holding out this long.

Are you only testing once a day?

SS123456 · 06/08/2020 14:52

@kirinm I'm really sorry to hear that 😩

@Sansa87 those opk lines are what mine look like at the start and end of my cycles if that helps

BronzeSilverGold13 · 06/08/2020 14:55

@SVC11 I had a faint line last month with no sign of AF (who ended up being 2weeks late) I actually cried when she turned up. I've purposely not bought any tests this month, then found one unopened IC the other day and it's agony trying not to use it. I'm tempted to wait until next Thursday but not sure I can wait that long!

Good luck for Saturday!!

Sansa87 · 06/08/2020 15:03

@SS123456 that does help, thankyou. I usually start the fertile window at day9/10 and I got 5 fertile days last time.

I have just thought sod it though, if I waste these then I waste them, I got one bfp out of them, & I won’t miss £40 for another pack. At least I’m getting my baseline 😊

I’m worried I’m going to have a breakdown somewhen, in slightly concerned I’ve gone back to normal completely, almost like I didn’t have my bfp before, and only had the surgery 10 days ago. I’ve cried A LOT, sobbed on the bathroom floor, sounded like a wounded animal when I came round after my the surgery, I’ve named him, got a couple of charms to remember him by, but now I almost feel nothing. Is that awful? Have I just buried it deep inside me? It’s not like me at all, I’m very sentimental. I’m back at work next week so maybe a normal life will help. Or have I just processed it very well.

Sorry, that went in a whole different direction!

MrsB2019x · 06/08/2020 15:19

@Sansa87 Think you’re heading in the right direction, maybe test once a day now they’re getting a bit darker then when they get more visible up it to 3 times a day (I tend to do 10:00ish, then 2:00, then 5:30ish).

I don’t think there is a ‘normal’ way to grieve tbh. It does sound like you’ve done the hard grieving already, now just adjusting back to normal life. Doesn’t mean you’re not sad about it deep down anymore, just life is carrying on x

MrsB2019x · 06/08/2020 15:19

Is anyone here a CM expert? Like I know about EWCM and that’s fine but what are you meant to expect in the 2WW whether you’re pregnant or not?

Sansa87 · 06/08/2020 15:21

@MrsB2019x when I got my bfp I remember from 7dpo I had thick white cm. I was actually convinced I had thrush. It stayed like that right up to the bfp, & I didn’t check again after that.

Boc86 · 06/08/2020 15:29

@Sansa87 have you tried the fermometer opks and input them into the premom app?
I get low readings of 0.2 (which are a tad darker than what you have today) through my cycle until it goes to about 0.5, then then next day I get 0.8 ish then ovulate the next day and it goes over 1.0 then shoots right back down to 0.2 the day after I ovulate
I find the lines much better on the fermometer than the cheapies as they’re wider tests and have more dye so makes me feel happier haha
On opks you have a line like that all the time so the line you have may mean you could ovulate in 2 days or 2 weeks x

Sansa87 · 06/08/2020 15:39

@Boc86 I haven’t, where do you suggest I purchase from? I have a thermometer but it’s just a regular one instead of a basal one. Amazon have w lot of different ones.

Boc86 · 06/08/2020 15:40

They’re from amazon and they’re so so much better than cheapies, they’re also fairly cheap but they just have so much more dye in them
And they work better with the premom app than the actual fermometer app I’ve found

When I say fermometer I mean the brand of test strips...not a thermometer haha x

SS123456 · 06/08/2020 16:54

I agree @Boc86, a very faint opk could mean you are anywhere in your cycle apart from the 1-3 days they go high/peak. @Sansa87 I would just test each day and see what happens. I guess if you can try and dtd every 2-3 days just so you cover all bases. Once you know what your cycle is doing again you can pinpoint ovulation and the timing of dtd much better. I also use the femometer app and their opk and they work well. The last 2 months I have used them alongside CB digitals but just because I am on cycle 10 now and wantes to give someone else a shot

SS123456 · 06/08/2020 16:56

*SomeTHING not someONE 😂. I'm not giving another guy a shot despite not falling pregnant with my current one despite it reading that way lol 😂😂

Boc86 · 06/08/2020 17:00

Hahaha 😂😂

SVC11 · 06/08/2020 17:43

Oh @Sansa87 big hugs give yourself some time, and you're allowed to feel exactly how you want!

@BronzeSilverGold13 fully expecting this not to stick so all I can do is hope for the best. I'm so sorry for your chemical though. Did your line darken over those 2 weeks or stay faint? X
