Hello, just a new thread for August...will add people as and when they finish with the 'July pact'

I think it's important to have a relevant thread once you are looking forward and gearing up for the next cycle...
Or chat turns to tww's when we will want to start chatting about ovulation again...

Will run both threads alongside each other ❤️

Congratulations @Lettie365 nice strong line!

I'm 5dpo today, partners dropped his sample of this morning for SA and now we have come away for the night in West Yorkshire, been to a English heritage castle this morning, currently at wensleydale creamery and heading off soon for the hotel. We were going to be dropping in on his aunt and uncle tomorrow for lunch but they live in Bradford so have called it off 😢

LeopardLover · 31/07/2020 15:33

@claireb707 How lovely! Hope you have a nice time away and yay for getting SA sorted. Shame you can't see your relatives but hopefully you can still enjoy yourselves!

Tigger1987 · 31/07/2020 16:11

Hi everyone,

Sorry for being a bit AWOL. Just catching up! The craziness of being 4 days late last month took it out of me so had a little break.

Congratulations to all the BFPs. Really strong lines on the tests. Lots of good symptoms for many of you too which is great news 🙂

This cycle is proving to be another crazy one. I used the CB digi ovulation sticks. Last month got 8 flashy smileys then a static (CD15). This time got 1 flashy smiley and the next day static (CD14).because I am a mad woman I also did a cheap opk which had no peak which I thought was odd. That day I also had light spotting for half a day which is unusual. This was Monday. No temp rise. So 2 days after the CB stick smiley disappeared I did another stick. Blank circle so thought maybe I did not ovulate. Fast forward to yesterday using cheap OPKs and had a peak. Still a peak today so I guess my body is trying again. I think I get on better with the cheap opks so will stick to them next cycle!!!!

Is it really unromantic of me to already feel that DTD in this heat is not going to be fun! 😂

Sorry for the long post.

MrsB2019x · 31/07/2020 16:35

@Tigger1987 That does sound like a bit of a head masher! Maybe your body was trying to gear up for ovulation but it didn’t so now it’s trying again? I’m glad I’m 1DPO today so don’t need to DTD in this heat 😂

kirinm · 31/07/2020 16:42

@Tigger1987 I don't know about the IC sticks but 2 days after a static you would get a blank circle on the clear blue ones. I got a blank circle after my peak - I know we aren't meant to keep testing but hey, can't break the habit of a lifetime.

Are the IC tests definitely a peak? I guess it is possible that you had two peaks though.

Good luck DTD tonight. I do not envy you in this heat!

kirinm · 31/07/2020 19:38

Feeling a bit down. Just found out SIL is 12 weeks. Other SIL is due very soon. Just doesn't feel like it's going to happen for us.

ARIO · 31/07/2020 20:09

@Tigger1987 the same happened for me this month. I had peak CD 13 on cb digital but negative on ICs an no temp rise. I kept testing and finally got positive/peak on CD 20 on both. So seems as though body geared up for Ov but didn't happen first time. I usually have a 28 day cycle so to Ov on day 20 is really late and unusual for me. However I am taking vit b6 this month so maybe that's pushed things back a bit.

whambam89 · 31/07/2020 20:18

@kirinm completely understand where you're coming from, my sister and sister in law are both pregnant and due a couple of weeks apart. SIL had a tough time trying but sister's was an "accident" - it's so tough when you're trying, especially when you've had a hard time of it! It's completely normal to feel disheartened by their news

LeopardLover · 31/07/2020 22:02

@Tigger1987 It's nice to see your name pop up! 😊SOOO interesting that the CB OPK wasn't quite accurate - or you had 2 peaks 🤔 Hopefully you managed to DTD, it's cooled down here!

@kirinm I'm sorry - that's so crap. I'd feel the same way 😔 Hoping your gum symptom is a good sign.

MrsB2019x · 01/08/2020 15:59

How are we all doing today ladies?

2DPO today and my boobs are on FIRE 🔥 even getting in the shower was painful! Progesterone running absolutely rampant this month clearly 🙄

kirinm · 01/08/2020 16:33

10dpo and feeling pretty rough! Tired, quite nauseous and generally a bit off really. DD's sleep has been bad for a few weeks now and I'm struggling as a result and nausea, I get that when pregnant and when I'm not pregnant so who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️

BuckleUp · 01/08/2020 18:13

Not too bad @MrsB2019x - fingers crossed all that extra progesterone creates the perfect environments of you this cycle!

@kirinm Sorry to hear you're feeling off but fingers crossed it's a positive sign 🤞🏻

AF due today, but hasn't yet made an appearance and my BBT is still high. My app is telling me to test Monday if AF is still late, but I think I'll test tomorrow morning if BBT is still high and AF is non-existent. Does anyone else freak out that it might be a positive? I know I'm ready for this, but I don't like change and worry I'll do everything wrong..

MrsB2019x · 01/08/2020 18:45

@BuckleUp I hope so too!

I think it’s completely natural to suddenly feel nervous, I guess up until now getting pregnant has just been an idea but it’s completely different when it’s for real! Wishing you all the luck in the world for tomorrow morning! Let us know how you get on x

BuckleUp · 01/08/2020 18:59

@MrsB2019x Yeah I suppose all the focus is on getting pregnant, so you actually don't think about being pregnant until it actually happens.. Thank you 😊, I'll keep you all up to date, but I suspect it's just my body playing games with me!

kirinm · 01/08/2020 19:16

Oh fingers crossed @BuckleUp please let us know! For me, I didn't really get my head around having my DD until she appeared during my c section. I just couldn't picture life with a baby! I think that's how I felt when I got a BFP too - I couldn't imagine a baby so it didn't feel very real?! Hopefully you'll find out tomorrow 🤞🏻🤞🏻

LeopardLover · 01/08/2020 22:52

@MrsB2019x Oh blimey, you poor thing! Hope the pain eases!

@kirinm Ah it's so hard to tell what's normal AF symptoms and what isn't. Hoping for you it's all positive!

@BuckleUp I'm SO and hopeful for you!! Of course we all want to get that BFP but I'll absolutely freak out whenever it happens 🤣 Seems natural to me!

We had another long day at the new house, I helped use a floor grinder so feeling a little bruised! Definitely counts as strenuous activity but implantation is a while off so I don't feel too bad for vibrating my insides 😅x

LT103 · 01/08/2020 23:13

@BuckleUp you’re def not alone there. I Can not wait to get pregnant and have a baby but the reality of it actually happening still scares me!!

MrsB2019x · 01/08/2020 23:35

@LeopardLover ooh exciting! We’re moving in a few weeks, first time house, can’t wait to get stuck in Grin Have you got much to renovate?

MrsB2019x · 01/08/2020 23:36

And buy first time house I mean first time buyer 🙄

Sansa87 · 02/08/2020 00:42

Hi girls, how is everyone doing. Just about to read and catch up.

I’m 5/6 days post surgery. Still bleeding, & my cervix is ouchy, but emotionally I feel a lot better. Obviously still devastated, but I don’t feel smothered with depression, so I think my pregnancy hormones are calming down.

Really looking forward to trying again. Wondering how to romantically ensure OH ahem replenishes the spermies with a fresh lot without my help at all.

I haven’t mentioned to him my worries, but when we tried that first cycle, I didn’t realise he’d abstained from anything because the thought that was the best option, and we hadn’t done the naughty for a few weeks as work had been hectic. It has crossed my mind that maybe our baby didn’t grow, not only because I still consumed caffeine, but maybe spermy was a bit old and naff 😂 don’t think there’s any polite way of saying it, so I’ll be keeping that to myself.

Sansa87 · 02/08/2020 00:45

Also, we got our mortgage offer officially through today. Oh already owns this property by himself, & I like to refer to myself as his squatter 😂 he’s accepted an offer on this place though, and we are getting a place together, and our offer was accepted. I’ve never owned before, but think it’s just solicitor stuff now and hoping the guys we are buying off of have somewhere to go, as a first time buyer is getting this place.

claireb707 · 02/08/2020 07:30

I'm 7dpo today and my boobs are so sore 😩😩 feel really heavy and even the duvet resting on them is annoying me

BuckleUp · 02/08/2020 07:51

@Sansa87 Thanks for the update, I was wondering how you were getting on. I'm glad you're feeling more positive again. I'm sure there are plenty of ways to subtlety replenish the BD stock 😉. Congrats on the new house too, fingers crossed it goes smoothly for you x

@claireb707 I hope the pain dies down for you today, I hate it when they're that sore..

Thanks everyone for reassuring me that nerves are a normal part of this journey. Sometimes I'm so scared that I wonder if DH and I have made the right decision, but I know we're as ready for it as we ever will be! My BBT is still high and I'll test when I get out of bed if AF is still absent

BuckleUp · 02/08/2020 08:08

I'm speechless.. Early days but fingers crossed it sticks 🤞🏻

August - might be a pact....might be madness
kirinm · 02/08/2020 08:19

Woweeee! That is one stinking great BFP! Congratulations 🥳 how do you feel?
