I know right! Like how does that even happen?! My friends have never used OPKs either. Everyone says just relax and it will happen naturally. Well no, i can't do as i have a very short window to get our BD on!!! Haha. I guess some people are just lucky.

Yeah, think positive. Work will be fine. I'll have lots to do next week as we dont officially open until 25th. To be honest, it will be nice to get out of the house and be healthy again. I'll ive done it eat, drink and watch Netflixs for months haha! Full on slob 😂

Elakiya · 15/07/2020 13:06

@candycrush2298 @Kaybobx
Yh my friends are the same haven't had any issues. Some of them really make insensitive comments like "you said you didn't want kids anyway" and I am like... shoot me for saying that at 17!

I've just told everyone around me that I am not trying for a baby yet. It's easier that way, otherwise they'll just pester and I am not ready for that.

My gym opens soon, I really want to go, but don't know if its a good idea to go right now?

EMS2020 · 15/07/2020 13:10

Hi all, I hope you dont mind me joining this thread😊 first time commenting but have read many threads on here over the past few months. I am TTC first child, on cycle 5 but had a break on cycle 3 after having early MC so technically 4th month actually trying. Had a chemical the first month TTC as well.

TWW is so hard, didn't find last week too bad but can't stop symptom searching this week and reading lots of threads on here! No symptoms at all and AF due in 2 days, think I will test tomorrow with FRER even though at the start of the month I told myself I wouldn't test unless AF was late🙈

Thinking about getting opks for next cycle if AF comes this time. So far I've just been using clue to track my cycle but unsure how accurate ovulation is.

Kaybobx · 15/07/2020 13:15

@Elakiya yeah probably best as my friends and everyone at work keep saying 'are you not pregnant yet?' Reallyyyy annoys me as they don't understand its actually a struggle thats taking over my life!

Honestly you'll be fine going back to the gym. We've had to put so much in place to be allowed to open again in the first place. I work for Nuffield Health which is also a hospital so as im sure you can imagine, our cleaning schedules and chemicals are top notch. Im sure others will be the same too.

candycrush2298 · 15/07/2020 13:25

@Kaybobx yeah like relax wtf does that even mean???? How do you do that? Stop speaking foreign to me I don't understand whahahah!!!

Ahhhh that will actually be great then, it will be nice to ease back into it. Cleaning and getting ready. LOL I have also been baking far too much on the weekends LOL!!!!

@Elakiya that is probably a good idea. My mom was pestering me saying she really wants a grandchild and then I finally broke down and told her and cried my eyes out and now she is a lot more understanding. My husbands aunt nags all the time - she is horrible by the way LOL. and yeah I agree with Kaybobx it should be safe to go back to gym because they will definitely be putting a lot in place and sticking too it so that they don't get shut again.

@EMS2020 welcome. The TWW is very frustrating. Sorry to hear about you mc and chemical that is really tough going. At least you are at the final stretch now 2 more days and you will be there. Good luck.

I'm really annoyed with my body. I literally had a negative ov test two weeks ago today. And then very strong positives 7-9 days ago so why why has my period come now? It makes zero sense.

Boc86 · 15/07/2020 16:58

@snapple21 my LP is only 10 days so could be a short LP?

Ahh no sorry af is here @candycrush2298

jlmul9 · 15/07/2020 17:01

Hey everyone it's been a good few days since I was here last so just been catching up slowly.

So it turns out that my peak was actually on Thursday 9th CD18 afternoon/evening and I ovulated on CD19 Friday 10th. Confirmed by temp dip and big spike afterwards. Not sure why the CBAD was showing solid from Tuesday night?! Definitely recommend temping to anyone having trouble with OPKs! 5DPO now and have been having light twinges every day since ovulation and crazy vivid dreams. Not sure what any of that means though!

Had my appointment with the Gynecologist yesterday too to go over all my recent bloods and HSG results and he told me that all my levels that have been super elevated have come back to normal ranges and that all looks good! He's prescribed me Clomid now starting next cycle if AF rears her ugly head so I feel like even if I'm out this month, we have a solid POA for next time. Feeling much more hopeful now than I've felt in months!

candycrush2298 · 15/07/2020 17:14

@snapple21 that does sound really really strange to have such a short luteal phase. So sorry to hear it. I take it then its 100% AF so sorry. Maybe speak to your GP or if you are able to ask a few questions at work?

@Boc86 yeah she is here but its OK I am alright now. I realised after looking back on my cycles that this is the first time I have had a 14 day luteal phase (usually a solid bang on 12 days) so I am guessing that the pregnacare is now in my system and the B6 has helped lengthen my luteal phase which I am really pleased about.

@jlmul9 thats incredible!! I am super jealous that you are at the point of already having a POA. We are still waiting on hubby to do his semen analysis and then we can get referred to the fertility clinic and then find out what our POA will be.

jlmul9 · 15/07/2020 17:23

@candycrush2298 I'm lucky I'm in Ireland and the hospitals are getting back to normal operations now. I got in for my HSG the first week they started them as I'd been waiting since April. Semen analysis was in November and MRI December. They've ruled everything out bit by bit. It was just my thyroid luckily enough. He was pretty sure that until I started taking the medication for that, that I hadn't been ovulating at all or at least only rarely. It's mad that something so small can throw everything haywire!

candycrush2298 · 15/07/2020 17:28

@jlmul9 oh wow I am super jealous then that you are so far along in ruling things out haha. Wow that is amazing can you believe a thyroid can cause so much hassle!! Thank goodness it was one small quick fix. Why do they do an MRI? Like what could be wrong? Sorry if its a dumb question lol.

OP posts:
jlmul9 · 15/07/2020 17:41

@candycrush2298 No, not dumb at all! It's to make sure there isn't a growth pressing on the pituitary gland stopping it from working right. I think though since my MRI was clear that it was probably something autoimmune related that caused mine. I was always complaining of being cold and tired! I went private with my tests too so that's why my case is progressing quicker than usual and I'm not having to wait too long for appointments.

candycrush2298 · 15/07/2020 17:49

@jlmul9 wow that is really good. I am so glad that you are so far and that its nothing seriously wrong. I imagine private would be a lot quicker. I am really rooting for this month to be yours!

OP posts:
jlmul9 · 15/07/2020 17:57

@candycrush2298 Thank you so much. I'm trying to stay away from testing so early but it's torture! I don't know if i'm feeling funny because I know exactly when ovulation was so I'm inventing things to match or if something is actually happening. They say the HSG makes you extra fertile so who bloody knows?!!

candycrush2298 · 15/07/2020 18:09

@jlmul9 lol I think our minds play tricks on us all the time. But in your case you have a really good shot. I have heard HSG can make you more fertile so got my fingers and toes crossed for you xx

OP posts:
Elakiya · 15/07/2020 21:15

@snapple21 Hmm odd that your LP is shorter than usual unsure what causes it though...

@jlmul9 that’s massive progress if unsuccessful this month fingers crossed the clomid works 😄😃😃😃

@candycrush2298 any news on your appointments? Hopefully once everything starts rolling again you should progress quickly too.

What’s it like using the moon up for AF?

My cramps are quite bad today definitely can feel AF coming (apparently implantation cramps should only last 3 days so doubt it’s that). I just want it to arrive now and be done with it.

ReginaaPhalange · 15/07/2020 21:34

Ladies, do you know if you can get clomid straight away if you have PCOS, or do you have to wait the 12 months of TTC?

Just done a cheap pregnancy test as it came with my thermometer.... lovely BFN.... to be honest I wasn't expecting a BFN...

candycrush2298 · 15/07/2020 21:40

@Elakiya none what so ever. Just have to wait on the mail man delivering the golden ticket (letter with appointment for semen analysis). Currently looking into private health insurance to see if any cover infertility treatments.

Not sure what you mean by moon up? I think you mean the menstrual cup? I didnt use it as I only have one and want to keep that for semen lol going to order another one for AF haha.

So sorry to hear about AF cramps 😞 but you're not out until you start.

@ReginaaPhalange so sorry to hear about your BFN but you not even sure when you did ovulate if you have ovulated so its possible if you did ovulate this cycle it was only like a few days ago no way you can get a positive this early. Because you have no idea what dpo you are all I can say is wait until about 5 days before your longest cycle (as I know you are irregular) then maybe tes from then. Holding my thumbs for you 💜

OP posts:
ReginaaPhalange · 15/07/2020 21:45

@candycrush2298 not expecting anything at all this cycle 🤣🤣 this will be the second month I haven't ovulated (no EWCM), so I'm not sure if I will be allowed to get clomid this early on in my ttc journey 🤷🏼‍♀️

candycrush2298 · 15/07/2020 21:48

@ReginaaPhalange sorry I misunderstood you said you weren't expecting a BFN so thought you were expecting a BFP. No idea sorry, think only the fertility clinics can prescribe clomid (could be wrong dont quote me) and you have to wait 12 months before being referred unfortunately.

OP posts:
ReginaaPhalange · 15/07/2020 21:57

@candycrush2298 yeah sure my gp said 12 months. I'll chart every month as evidence if I need to go back to gp....

candycrush2298 · 15/07/2020 22:02

@ReginaaPhalange I know it sucks, I wish there was a quick fix. Trust me after 2 years if there was a miracle pill I would take it haha. Its a good idea to chart your cycles so you have evidence to show your GP. Hoping you dont have too though 🤗
