@Daffodil21 I guess so - my boss is pretty switched on and "by the book" so I'm sure everything will be done properly. We have an HR department (University) but they're pretty shit... I only got a contract a couple of months after I started!
But it's a pretty male-dominated subject area, and I'm the only woman in our research group at the moment, so I doubt they've ever had to deal with organising maternity leave. I also feel a bit self conscious as it looks like I planned to take them for a ride!

@Poppyismyfavourite you're far nicer than I am - if I got pregnant I wouldn't give two shits what my boss thought 😂😂 I hope it goes well when you do tell them though, also remember they will be happy for you!

@Daffodil21 I think it's mostly the imposter syndrome talking. I often feel like I'm not really qualified (my background is in a different, related field) but got the job because I interview well and they liked me. Also there's still the old-school (*read "sexist") thing of not wanting to hire just-married, nearly-30-yr-old women because they'll just go off and get pregnant... which is exactly what I did!

Has anyone else's cycles not been as regular with everything that has been going on? I've always been every 28days with medium flow for three days. But for the last 4 months, it's been every 26 days with lighter and lighter flow for 1 to 2 days. If I go by a 26 day cycle for this month then I'm three days late. But by my normal 28 day cycle then I'm due today and absolutely nada so far. But I'm wondering if it's something that other people have noticed with their own cycles?

@Bramleyapples13 I can’t comment sadly as I only came off the pill about 8 weeks ago! So far I’ve had one 27 day cycle though and shocked it was so average!

@Bramleyapples13 yes. Normally I have 34-37 day cycle. Has been up to 43 days before but not for a year. The month before last it was 32 days, and last month was 50. Who knows what this one will be!

@Poppyismyfavourite I'm sure they'll have plans in place, and if not it's not your problem

@Bramleyapples13 stress is well-known to affect menstrual cycles, so it's highly possible if you've had some life disruption lately (who hasn't) that that could make a difference. Also the stress of TTC!

Feeling low today! I had a dream last night I was pregnant, so horrible waking up realising it wasn’t true! I also think we have to put TTC on hold after this month if it doesn’t happen because it would end up clashing with my best friends wedding. Sooo much pressure

@Dogscanlookup glad I'm not the only one having dreams like that ❤️ I frequently dream I'm pregnant, that I'm taking a pregnancy test (and it always turns our positive, literally in my dreams!) and even more frequently I dream I'm MCing. Fuck this shite. I hope you're ok ❤️ rant and vent as much as you need on here!

@Daffodil21 ugh that’s so awful! Horrible how our own minds do that to us! 🙁 you might be right. I’m currently trying to sell my flat as well and I’m finally going to start my job properly in the new office next week so a lot going on in my life! I need a spa day.. but none are open 😭 maybe a tub of ice cream will have to do instead.. 😂

@Daffodil21 and this thread is amazing, it’s so nice we can all rant / ask questions etc! So thank you and everyone else on here!

@Dogscanlookup urgh lots going on for you! I've also sold and bought a new house (relocates 600 miles away) and started a new job while TTC, I actually found it a very welcome distraction so hopefully it can be for you too!

Plus if you're in the office you can't google as much...!

@Daffodil21 it’s nice to see it’s doable then! You make a good point actually, I was googling so much a few weeks back and now apart from this thread I’m just trying to take it easy. I’ve heard so much that as soon as people relax or stop trying they then fall pregnant. Life’s a right bitch at times 😅

Hi ladies I don't know if my last post posted so I will try again. Does anyone know how much your temp should or can rise after ovulation. Mine has gone up by 0.2 and then 0.4 celsius over the last couple days. Is that a high enough rise to suggest ovulation? Xx

Luckily my UTI went away by itself (I couldn't get in the doctors and wasn't ready to sit in there for an emergency appointment yet). I started overthinking it a bit, googling if it could be an early sign of pregnancy but I don't think it is. I'm due on again Friday, I've already got very dull cramping so I think once again we were unsuccessful, roll on 8 months TTC. On the plsu side i've decided to throw myself in to wedding planning as a distraction as i'm starting to see babies everywhere, looking at our favourite two venues Saturday so hoping to set a date soon and focus on that rather than this in hopes that'll maybe help the situation. I will still monitor my ovulation, still take the vitamins, still try as much as we can but not going to let it consume me as it is. Had a little cry the other day and realised I can't keep on like this.

Hi guys, hope I can join here!
I'm 5 days late when usually I'm pretty regular (around 28 days) I've taken multiple tests and even this morning with FMU and they are all negative :( I'm feeling nauseous all the time and very tired but those are the only symptoms I've got, really hope im pregnant but don't wanna get my hopes up just for AF to arrive in a couple of days

@SVC11 I’m not too sure but from what I’ve looked up it definitely could be a sign! Would this be around the right time for you to ovulate?
@MDall glad your UTI has disappeared! I really hope for you AF doesn’t arrive but if it does your wedding is an amazing this to focus on! That’s so exciting looking at venues, I’m sure once you have a date in the diary it’ll help even further to focus on that and hopefully relax x
@UnicornBorn23 welcome! Always space for one more TTC clan member 😅 fingers crossed for you! It’s almost impossible not to get your hopes up, but if it doesn’t happen we’re all here and there’s always next month😊 keep us posted!

@Dogscanlookup yeah I got an lh peak on the 27th and temp went up by 0.4c this morning compared to usual, to 36.6. Have attached my chart for this month. Dunno what the big drop was all about at the start but treating this as an anomoly... X

@Dogscanlookup thank you! I'm also eating everything in sight haha! Yes I get my hopes up every month but this is the only month I don't feel pregnant so just waiting for AF😂

@MDall I had a UTI within the 2 weeks before my BFP this month 👀 so maybe it is an early symptom!

@SVC11 definitely sounds likely then I would say! Yeah the drop could have been a number of things, the chat generally seems consistent otherwise!
@UnicornBorn23 haha I was literally the same last month and was thinking “yeah gotta be pregnant”. Nope, I was just a fat hoover.

Morning everyone! did another test first thing this morning, still negative! gonna get myself booked into the doctors on Monday if still no AF! I'll be 10 days late by then!

@Tofu35 sadly I had another one! But this time it was about getting a flashing smiley but today no such luck!
@UnicornBorn23 which tests are you using? Good idea to get a docs booked just to put your mind at rest!
