Anyone else DTD few days before ov?! 2WW

DTD with my partner on Saturday which makes it cycle day 13 for me. I ovulate around cycle day 15/16. So today or tomorrow. I can’t DTD today so I have to stick with my partners swimmers from Saturday. Wondering if I’m still in with a chance this month 😕I know it takes hours for egg to be released and sperm live for a few days but I’m still thinking I’m out. Anyone else in the same boat as me?

And yes @SK2970 I’m definitely up for keeping the chat going. We are a lovely little group!💕

My bloods came back all fine, I think my fsh level is a little elevated but the Dr. didn't seem concerned. I'm not using opks anymore, just taking each month as it comes now. Will try to dtd regularly every 2-3 days but I'm not going to get stressed if we don't. Its been almost a year so if we reach the 12 month mark, we will take the next step. Just wish af wasn't so bloody painful!

Aw bless you @RobinRose. Well at least bloods are okay and hopefully stay that way. Everything ok with your OH? Yes I think that’s the best way to do it, especially if it’ll keep your stress levels down, sorry af is so painful for you too. Is it nearly over?
I don’t think OH wants to TTC. I spoke to him because he was so excited for this month so I thought well maybe he’d actually like to try but he doesn’t he was just excited. He said if it happens it will obviously be a blessing but he doesn’t actively want to TTC yet. Kinda a bummer but it’s what I expected haha. But like I said, I ovulate on my birthday in August soooo what’s he gonna do? Not give me my birthday sex?😂😂lol.

Also, this is gonna be TMI but I was curious, (as always) is like thick globby ewcm good or bad?😂I’ve noticed it’s got thicker these last couple of months. Sorry deffo TMI

@RobinRose bless you! Lots of people get there BFP after stopping using opks and trying to relax a little! I definitely think the sperm meets egg theory works as we had stopped a few days before DTD but had done it every other day for the week before that. Fingers tightly crossed for you!!

@Leobaby not sure but if it's cottage cheese like then could be a bit of thrush which isn't very pleasant! Hope it's not that!

@Leobaby as far as we no! His sample cam back OK after 3 months so should theoretically get better over time. Will test again after 12 months. Are you okay about that? I agree birthday sex is just mandatory! 😉🤣 if its clear with no unpleasant smell or itching I wouldn't worry!

@SK2970 I hope so, I mentioned opks to the dr and she said just don't bother with them, just have regular sex throughout your cycle and your covered, which I guess makes sense. I mean its nice to no when your ovulating but I think it sticks in your head like ... we need to dtd now or around such and such day or we have failed! If that makes sense? How did your partner take the news? (Sorry if you've already said)

@RobinRose that’s okay then! Yes it should get better so fingers crossed for you that you’ll get your bfp soon! Yeah I’m okay with it. Just confusing because of how excited he was lol. He says we’re not ready so he’s being responsible but I think he does want one. Exactly sooo, maybe my birthday could just be my lucky day 😉😂lmao I think I didn’t describe it very well. It’s still clear and stretchy there’s just always loads of it in big globs like a mucus plug 😂

@Leobaby hehe I'm glad!! What cycle day are you now? When is your birthday? It's good that you had a chat, and maybe he is hiding how much he wants it or scared in case it doesn't happen - especially with you saying how excited he was!! Need to seduce him at every opportunity!!

It's my 1st wedding anniversary tomorrow and we going to a hotel tonight near where we got married which is so surreal and bit anxious about it!! It's such a weird time!!

Its been light spotting since about lunch time but is now getting heavier. I think its too early for anyone to be able to see anything anyway unfortunately. Feels absolutely rubbish as I was so pleased but I have to say its almost like I was expecting it x

We DTD four days leading upto ovulation. I think I ovulated a day later than expected. We had already started then got my peak on the OPK so DTD that day, hopefully caught it then. I really couldn’t handle 5 days in a row lol!

@Csari bless you. Why was you expecting it? How is everything now? Have you done a test to see if it’s got lighter? I hope you’re okay x

@Sdoo4 hello, if you dtd on day of peak you have a good chance! It’s stressful if you’re going off dtd a few days before ov I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re obsessive and impatient like me 😂 deffo will have to do it at least everyday next time lol.

Hey @Leobaby I'm not sure why really, but every time I went to the loo I half expected to see blood so I feel like subconsciously I probably knew that something wss wrong. I haven't tested yet but I'm very crampy and heavy so its definitely an early loss I reckon, ill leave it a few days for my hormones to settle back down.
Weirdly I'm OK, hugely disappointed and a btu sad but otherwise OK apart from the cramps. I know that at this stage losses are usually issues with the baby developing and I suppose I'd rather it was now than further down the line when it would have been alot harder, I was only about 5 weeks.
My husband has been lovely, buying me chocolate and running baths so I feel well looked after at least and I've ordered some OPKs just incase I want to try again this cycle, although I'm not sure if you are supposed to leave it for a month or not.

@Csari aw I’m sorry. I’m glad you’re okay though and your husband is looking after you, such a horrible thing to go through. But you are right at least it happened early instead of further on down the line. I’ve had a loss around 5/6 weeks too, and I’m the same I kinda felt it was gonna happen. Instead mine was extremely painful though. I’m not sure on that one, I think you can still try again maybe they say a month because of hormones?
But I’m good thank you, don’t think we’re trying this month, but not sure yet. It’s OH birthday month so just sorting bits out with that! ☺️
