@blodyn91 oh no you need to nip that in the bud ASAP! My biggest pet hate was people telling me what I should and shouldn't do for our wedding. It's one of the biggest days of your life, please don't let someone else plan it for you. You don't want to risk looking back and wishing you'd done things differently. X

@Pixielou16 @lucyrp thanks for that, that makes me feel better! I'd never known such birth month hysteria with regards to schooling until I moved to the UK! Back home it's all based on calendar year and you don't get graded until you're 13 (at least back when I was in school) so by then there are no notable differences anyway.

As for lengthening your LP - I thought agnus castus and taking vit b complex was meant to be good for that.

@juno OMG don't! 🙈 Shes already annoyed we are planning on moving somewhere thats40mins away from her not 5! Im like, my mam is 2.5hrs away how do you think I feel! Im at that point now that I will just say 'no thanks' or 'my bridesmaids are doing this instead'

@Juno231 every frer has had a super squinter the last couple of tests. Stated to think i was imagining it but today is a lot clearer so fingers crossed.

Just realised i was over a week late with dc1 when I found out so fingers crossed its a late bloomer and not cp xx

@Pixielou16 @watermelonwizard I’m on 9DPO and I feel like I’m about to get AF. Last month my luteal phase was only 9 days too. I’m worried there’s something wrong with me 😖

@Juno231 I teach reception at the moment and in general, late summer babies (Jul/Aug) do find it harder to begin with as they’re just not as developmentally ready as some of the autumn born. However I have had many a summer born baby achieve the same or better than non-summer borns. Also, boys tend to find it harder as they have poorer fine motor skills and they are not as keen and as ready to learn as girls, but girls tend to be people pleasers! (again, not all, just my lowest achievers at the beginning tend to be mainly boys) so if you’re a summer born boy it can be harder at the beginning. However, leaving KS1 and going into KS2 the vast majority have caught up so it really isn’t that much of a big deal when you look at the bigger picture. I spend many a day being honest with worried parents but also reassuring them that they’ll get there in their own time. A baby is a blessing either way and whenever they arrive it will be wonderful, but I do understand what you mean x

I have a summer baby, autistic and dyslexic, he is doing just fine, others doing better? Comparason is the thief of joy, he is doing just fine.
I had normal breakfast and now feel so nauseous... trying very hard not to read much into it

@Bear127 I feel exactly the same way! It's so weird because my cycles are 31/32 days long, just with a short LP. So annoying that I have to wait almost 3 weeks for ovulation in the first place. I agree with KS1 Vs KS2 and motor skills. I teach at a junior school and the main difference I see with summer born, usually boys, is handwriting

@Juno231 im also an August baby and always loved having my summer birthday!! I used to not want a December baby and we actually didn't try in March because of that + covid now I realise how I really wouldn't care what month baby came as long as they were happy and healthy! I think uour perspective shifts so much when it doesn't just happen the first time doesn't it! Xxx

@blodyn91 eek that's annoying about MIL! I had similar with my Nan, she kept wanting me to invite all these people I didn't even know. I love her so much but had to have a stern chat just to explain that it's expensive, and I just wanted people who were close to me there, not ransoms I'd never met! We kept all our plans super secret too so no one got a look in until the day of. It was perfect 💜

@Juno231 my ds is a July baby and has always been fine. Plus you only have to go through 1 year at nursery as opposed to 2 with an autumn born!!
