New thread for those who were on the May/June thread and didn’t get a BFP, think we’re up to 14 people with a BFP 😍

Anyone who will be testing on above dates welcome, I’ll create a list of usernames and testing date and we will then support each other through the TWW, symptom spotting brain ache and AF arriving or celebrating a BFP. Great if everyone could give a little info about them too!

I’m 30, boyfriend is 27. TTC #1 Cycle 3. Tried SMEP last month and using OPK’s. Not even a hint of pregnancy yet for me but hoping for some baby dust my way this month!

Oo I've not heard that one before 🍍good to know! So with getting a a peak OPK this morning, when do you think ovulation will actually be? we DTD Friday, last night and maybe again tonight?

PinkRoses20 · 15/06/2020 12:37

Hi ladies, hope everyone is doing ok. I have been reading through for a wee while now after a miscarriage in April. Now on second cycle and have been using the clearblue ovulation tests. Got a static smiley yesterday morning and this morning. Just wondered if anyone had used these? I'm a but unsure about whether this means i have ovulated yesterday or if it will be today? X

kate123cl · 15/06/2020 13:24

Hi @PinkRoses20 ! Are you using the CB advanced digitals? It's my first month using them, I've been getting flashing smileys for the past 2 days, I'm yet to have a static smiley! I've read that once they display the static smiley that it'll remain the same for 48h and that you don't need to test any more x

BookishEm · 15/06/2020 13:27

Hey!
I use clear blue and the static smiley means you probably will ovulate within the next 12-36 hours (I think?) normally I take it as the next day in my head. I try to dtd the day I get the static smiley and if I’m feeling it then the following day too. If you have been dtd every second or third day in the week or so in the run up too I’m pretty sure “google” says you should be covered ❤️ Would be interested to hear what other people think/do?

PinkRoses20 · 15/06/2020 13:32

Thanks for the replies ☺️ @kate123cl it's just the normal digital ones, no flashing just a static they give you. @BookishEm ah ok so if i got it yesterday then likely ovulated or about to today? We were going for every second day then i was thinking i had missed it and we had a 3 day break but dtd yesterday and today so i'm hoping that will increase chances! Suppose i will be starting the TWW tomorrow ahh!

motherofdinosau · 15/06/2020 13:38

@dogmam i would get dtd tonight tomorrow and wednesday.
Thats a great peak!!!! Keep an eye out gor any cramps and you may feel when ovulation happens. Can be 12-36 hours after a peak reading.
I usually test around 3-5pm on a 3/5hr low fluid hold.
Test again this afternoon 3-5 to make sure...it may stay high or you could have caught the tail end of the surge!
Which is what i think i done as approx 6/7 hours after my peak reading i was having very uncomfortable cramps x

BookishEm · 15/06/2020 13:42

@PinkRoses20 yeah I think it varies between the 12-36 hours so it might not be today but that’s when I would judge it from. And would start the TWW tomorrow like you said! If you were dtd yesterday and again today then I think you’ll definitely have caught it! Good luck 🤞🏼

Leobaby · 15/06/2020 14:15

Hey ladies,

TTC first baby. I wondered if you all could help me. I dtd on Saturday which makes it my cycle day 13, I ovulate on cycle day 15/16. Today or tomorrow. My af is due around 1st-5th July. It varies for me. But my ovulation stays the same. Do you think I’m in with a chance this month, should I do the TWW?!

Good luck to you all 🥰x

Leobaby · 15/06/2020 14:15

Also, can’t dtd today so I have to stick with Saturdays swimmers 🥺

dogmam · 15/06/2020 14:24

Ooh ok thank you for that @DoctorBambino I'll text again about 5, just been for a wee and won't have anything else to drink now 😊

Honestly who ever would have thought it would be like a military operation to get pregnant!!

kate123cl · 15/06/2020 14:24

Hi @Leobaby ! Sperm can live inside the vagina for up to five days so you're absolutely in with a chance! I'd probably dtd tomorrow if possible too just to up your chances! Good luck x

dogmam · 15/06/2020 14:24

**try again at 5pm, not text again!!

Leobaby · 15/06/2020 14:30

Hello @kate123cl and thank you! I’ve read so much about it I feel like I’ve done a degree in ovulation & TTC 😂 I’ve read lots that people have conceived from dtd 5 days before so hopefully I can be one of those ladies! I’m not going to put my hopes too high as still I think my chance is less. I will still do the TWW though of course. Nothing better than stressing over symptom spotting 😂 unfortunately I can’t dtd tomorrow either. I’m literally hanging onto these swimmers from Saturday 🥺lol! Thank you x

SK2970 · 15/06/2020 15:26

@Leobaby welcome! Fingers crossed those little swimmers do the job!! I'm in similar situation where had to stop DTD few days before predicted ovulation (I'm not tracking it yet) and hoping it has worked or that I ovulated earlier!

It's all I can think about today, I have a busy job but very distracted checking Mumsnet haha I'm only 2dpo!! ConfusedConfused

Leobaby · 15/06/2020 15:30

@SK2970 I have a thread for us ladies who did it a few days before ov if you want to join it! But I’m exactly the same hoping I ovulated earlier and that it worked! Fingers crossed for us both! At the moment I don’t know if I’m any day past ov yet as I’m really not sure if I’ve ovulated!🥴 good luck and keep me updated! When is your af due?

holb54 · 15/06/2020 15:50

Wasn't on the orginal thread so hope nobody minds me being here! I'm 24, OH is 32 and we're TTC for the first time and it's also only our first month trying. Should be ovulating in 7 days (according to Flo anyway) so going to try stay relaxed and just hope for the best! Good luck to all you ladies 💕

PinkRoses20 · 15/06/2020 16:06

@BookishEm oh i hope so! This is only my first month of using the cb so i'm really relieved to have got a static! Where are you at with cycle etc x

Hi ladies! Hope everyone weekend was good. Exiting that all the shops and things are opening back up now!

Am wondering about CM today as mine has gone from being mainly dry but what I did see was thick/white to a more watery consistency but still white. Does anyone know if this is a good sign, a bad sign or not a sign at all? Grin AF due next week.

BookishEm · 15/06/2020 17:40

@PinkRoses20 I’m CD20 and 2DPO! Swear to go the last two days have draaaaaagged by! Another 8 at least to go!!

PinkRoses20 · 15/06/2020 17:58

@BookishEm oh i bet 😰 i will be a couple days behind you then on the testing, although i'm trying to convince myself to hold off as long as possible..easier said than done.

Littlebee1990 · 15/06/2020 18:14

I literally don’t notice any CM ever.. I check knickers.. I check toilet roll but I can never see anything. Should I be worried!? 🙈

@littlebee1990 absolutely not! Everyone’s different! This is the first month I could even notice a change in my cm throughout the course of the month!

dogmam · 15/06/2020 18:25

So second OPK of the day and still high! So I think that means I will ovulated either tomorrow or Tuesday? But now I'm thinking.. that's quite late in a 28 day cycle isn't it?

@helllobambinos @littlebee1990
I second what @bookishem said - it's definitely unique and personal to everyone so it's not the best for comparing and I also only noticed changes in my CM this cycle (3rd off Cilest), the months before I was mostly creamy all the way through with some dry days before and after AF.

Basically the CM cycle pattern and types of CM you gets can look and feel different for everyone i.e. EWCM doesn't always look like as textbook as you'd expect it to...I think? It's all very vague...
