TTC after MC - May 2020 Part3

Almost filled the last thread, so thought we'd better start another one. Ladies feel free to tag everyone in.

Got my BFP on 5th May after my MMC in Feb but had quite a lot of bleeding this morning. Not just when wiping. Soaked through a pad in half an hour but now it’s stopped for a couple of hours. Being pregnant after a MC is just so stressful and a time of anxiety. I really hope I’m not loosing this little bean too 😭.

@Mrs173 so sorry that this is happening! Have you contacted your doctor/urgent care? Definitely get checked ASAP. I hope all turns out OK xxx❤️

@vp91x thanks. I called my EPU this morning when I was soaking through the Pad but they said I couldn’t get a scan because I wasn’t in pain or cramping. She said they are being a lot more strict on who they will see due to Covid but it’s not reassuring at all :( I would feel much less anxious if I knew what was happening. I am hoping the no pain is a good sign and it has stopped for 3 hours now but it wasn’t light bleeding. Oh the worries we have to go through 😩

@Mrs173 do you think it's worth just saying that you are cramping so that they see you?

It's so crap that they didn't at least see you right away! Xx

I did say to hubby that I might call back and say I am but then I feel like I might be jinxing it if I lie! 🙈 also because the bleeding has stopped I know they will probably fob me off again and if I lie and then they see I’m not bleeding anymore I will feel a fool! It’s so hard though. And I can’t see anywhere I could get a private scan done this weekend with Covid either 😩 I might call them back and say I’ve started cramping although she sad earlier “it only counts if the pain from it isn’t under control with the max dose of paracetamol” so I guess they reallllyyyyy don’t want to see anyone. Tbh they weren’t helpful with my previous Mc either :(

@Mrs173 sorry I didn't see that you had replied. Gosh, they really don't want to see anyone do they?

Maybe give them a ring anyway and see what they say? They might say to come in Monday. Or is it worth calling one of the private clinics and explaining situation they might offer you a slot? Xxx

Morning ladies, sorry have been a bit quiet - time spent worrying and continuing to poas!!
I am in bits this morning as my cb digital still says 2-3 and I’m 24dpo today. Things clearly aren’t progressing as I definitely should be 3+ by now. Still haven’t managed to get a gp appointment but I think I might just say I’m having bleeding so I get seen. Pain is still there and I feel generally very odd.

I really wouldn't go by those tests to determine how the pregnancy is progressing. I had this with my last baby. I was so concerned and I googled it to see that lots of ladies had the same problem, (in that the test read that they were not as many weeks along as they thought they should be).
My baby was born perfectly healthy at 41 weeks. Also, as a side note, I believe it's a little 'grey' as to the cut off points of the weeks indicator and whether 2-3 actually includes the whole of the third week.
I understand your concern, and a scan will help settle your mind if you can get one.

Thanks @Jazper ... I can’t explain it, I just feel off. Very similar to my miscarriage last month and not at all like I felt when I was pregnant with my daughter. I am so anxious and I know it doesn’t help.

It doesn’t help either when I’m so sure of when I ovulated with all the tracking! Ignorance is bliss isn’t it

@Diorissimo1985 hey lovely, I'm sorry you still haven't had any answers. If you are able to why don't you get a private scan booked? Or ring EPU again and ask to be seen. Tell them about the pain and then yeah, probably just best to say you've had a bleed. It will be the only way to definitely find out. Please keep us updated xx

I’ve got a scan booked for 6:30 tonight - £50 but worth it to know. Although hubby said last early scan where we discovered MMC was the worst £50 he ever spent. Fingers crossed it might be ok. No bleeding still since yesterday at 11 but I just feel like it was quite a lot - definitely not spotting or light.

Sending love to all and @diorissimo1985 I hope your instincts are wrong. Sadly I couldn’t explain how I knew about my last MMC but my symptoms just weren’t there and I felt off. But I had no cramping and sometimes cramping is a good sign of your body adjusting so don’t worry about that part too much. I hope you are able to find out tomorrow - I hate the waiting part. It’s just so cruel.

@Diorissimo1985 @Mrs173 hope you both get some answers today - with the digitals I don't think they are exact on dating as hcg varies so much from women to women so please hold onto hope @Diorissimo1985 you are only just 5 weeks so I'm praying that it's just not ticked over the hcg threshold for you . Hope everything is ok ❤️❤️ I had my scan on Friday after a bleed and luckily everything is progressing so fingers crossed it continues it’s so bloody nerve wrecking after a miscarriage xxx

Hey guys I am just on my way back from my private scan - saw baby’s heartbeat and all is ok atm! 7w 5days so still early days but so relieved. So pleased for you too @Tink20058 and I agree with your last post but easier said than done! 💜🌈

@Mrs173 I’m so pleased for you, your over 7 weeks now so risk reduces then it goes down further at 9 weeks the epu nurse I spoke to on the phone told me I’m 6+3 now so just crossing fingers xx

@Tink20058 sorry forgot to update! Had a couple more BFN and then AF arrived early this afternoon. But I made my peace with it and soon it'll be fertile week again so hopefully June 🤞xx
