well done @lucyrp ! You've motivated me to get my act together, loadsss less active in lockdown is not good, cos the snacks have gone up!

Cocoblue22 · 27/05/2020 09:20

@TheGirlWhoLived maybe in a few days? Your HcG levels might not be high enough? I got four days of negatives before a BFP last time xx

lucyrp · 27/05/2020 09:22

@Juno231 ooo you take evening primrose oil. I have a question. Do you take it once or twice a day and every cycle day ??

Mococo1 · 27/05/2020 09:23

Omg looool @lucyrp I'm having the exact same thing for brekkie too- DH was like 'me and a million others are having cereal this morning no need to get excited🤣'

Morning ladies,

Have been trying to catch up on the last few days as have been busy.

One of the questions regarding supplements caught my eye. I’ve been reading a book called ‘The inpatient woman’s guide to pregnancy’ which has been very informative.

The lady that wrote it suggested as well as the supplements that have already been mentioned, taking omega-3 tablets and guaifenesin in cough syrup as it helps thicken the CM and help the sperm get to the egg easier. Done know if that helps anyone, but is easier to have a dose of cough syrup every day then try and remember to use pre-seed and it’s cheaper! 👍

Hope that’s helpful to someone. 😁

lucyrp · 27/05/2020 09:25

@Cocoblue22 I mean I was getting a bit annoyed as I thought you're supposed to burn loads of calories when having sex but nothing was happening🤣 I did walk about 25 miles last week so that probably had something to do with it but I did have a chinese and a chippy too so who knows, looks like I've been lucky 😂

@watermelonwizard im the same although I won't lie I'm actually bored of eating now, I've never eaten so much throughout the day. I work with food so I don't normally eat through the day only in the morning if that and then at night so the 12 hours of being awake and not doing anything has been lethal!

@Mococo1 omg no I totally am so excited that we're having exactly the same thing for breakfast! Madness 🤯😂

Minster2012 · 27/05/2020 09:32

@SarahTTC2020 wow full on massive of globules of ewcm you go girl! Ain’t no gin needed for you (sorry I meant grapefruit juice 😂)

@Amy00 yes we were told by our IVF clinic no sex in TWW but they say for infection risk & ours were like “I mean you are spending thousands you don’t wanna mess it up with an infection” & they only say no heavy lifting so I’m pretty sure it’s not the orgasm 😂I’m not gonna abstain if I ever find out when I ovulate 🤣

@TheGirlWhoLived never out til the witch shows up 🤞🏻

Amy00 · 27/05/2020 09:36

@Skip86 @Juno231 yeah I've heard about "upsuck" before 😂 and taken advantage of that this cycle!! But now I'm 5dpo so into implantation stage 🤞 so now paranoid about contractions - imagine you were trying to get cozy in bed and an earthquake happened around you!!

@watermelonwizard I've gone all out and I'm taking folic acid, B12, iron, Vit C, zinc, omega 3, coq10 and was taking evening primrose oil leading up to ovulation. Am also on the grapefruit juice train! And eating Brazil nuts everyday. And just ate pineapple before real breakfast as apparently helps with implantation if you eat pineapple on an empty stomach. I think I'm googling too much 🙈

Juno231 · 27/05/2020 09:44

@Amy00 you made me lol about the earthquake!!

@lucyrp I try to take it twice a day but usually only remember once! I only take it up until ovulation day as I think it's one of the supplements that causes uterine contractions and can hinder implantation (from memory). You can change to flax seeds at that point but I just leave it until CD1 again.

Supposed to get a peak OPK today (per previous cycles) but considering it was pretty much blank yesterday I don't have high hopes girls! CD12 for reference.

Cocoblue22 · 27/05/2020 09:45

@Minster2012 what qualifies as heavy lifting? I’m worried about picking up my DS he’s 2yo and pretty heavy!! Might have to just make my husband pick him up but he’s a mummy’s boy and likes me picking him up and cuddling him! Xx

Cocoblue22 · 27/05/2020 09:47

@watermelonwizard pineapple is supposed to bring on labour too....I can conclude it does not! X

BumDiggyDiggyDiggyBumDiggyBum · 27/05/2020 09:51

@lucyrp well done to you!

Yes I’m still here, can’t keep up though 😂 I’ll probably check in around this time or earlier everyday before those 2 are up. This is my maw time, I read my phone and exercise and have my bulletproof coffee for breakfast before they appear.

Wish they’d hurry up and go back to work and nursery already, sick of the sight of the pair of them.

Minster2012 · 27/05/2020 09:53

@cocoblue22 I avoided lifting our heavy nearly 2 year old for 3 days after our embryo transfer (well I did lift him about 4 times Cos you can’t avoid it totally) then went back to normal, I got a sharp pain on the 3rd day which I took as implantation pain (as you miss out the week of travelling down the tubes) & got a BFP which ended in a missed miscarriage

SarahTTC2020 · 27/05/2020 09:54

@Minster2012 hahaha no the alcohol just helps me get in the mood 😋😋 no need for that whilst I'm in TWW though 🤣

Skip86 · 27/05/2020 10:00

@Juno231 oops I misread the comment! Oh dear I'm 8DPO and had sex this morning (and had a bloody great orgasm), hope it didn't shake my little implanting bean!!

OnNaturesCourse · 27/05/2020 10:02

@TheGirlWhoLived

Could just be a bit early. I'd definitely try testing again in a few days! As it's been said your not until AF shows her ugly face.

@lucyrp

Well done on the weight loss. That's fabby. I'm meant to be on the scales soon but I'm so bloated just now I'm kinda avoiding it.

Trying to catch up but this thread moves too fast for me 😂 Hope everyone is well and have been able to get a hold of grapefruit juice lol. Xx

lucyrp · 27/05/2020 10:07

@Juno231 okay thank you I may try and get some for next cycle!

@BumDiggyDiggyDiggyBumDiggyBum finally someone said it 😂😂🙈I love my DS millions but wish they'd go back to school, but also unsure if il send him back if it's too early😂

@OnNaturesCourse I never had scales in my hiuse before so I keep forgetting I have it 😂 going for a walk now in a minute now too so see how far I get on that. I need to keep moving it's when I stop that I pile it on doesn't matter if I'm eating healthy I need to exercise to keep it off

OnNaturesCourse · 27/05/2020 10:09

@lucyrp

We are hoping to get out a walk but a potty training 2 year old might put a stop to that! Might be walking round my garden at this rate! Enjoy your wander. X

BumDiggyDiggyDiggyBumDiggyBum · 27/05/2020 10:10

@lucyrp it’s never too early! We’re in Scotland and she’s due to start school in August but think her private nursery is opening back up soon thank fuck.

She’s picked up a lot of DPs bad habits since he’s been home, I worked so hard to have her not say ‘aye’ and now she’s talking slang constantly with the occasional swear word thrown in. Ready for throttling both of them.

Katao · 27/05/2020 10:21

I did actually try the pineapple thing the month I conceived my first so who knows, can't hurt your chances.

watermelonwizard · 27/05/2020 10:53

@lucyrp going for a walk ‘now in a minute’ definitely a fellow Welshie 🤣

SS123456 · 27/05/2020 10:53

Ladies, CD20 and still no sign of ovulation 😩. Anyone else with me? This is month 8 of TTC and losing the will to live with it all now 😢

SarahTTC2020 · 27/05/2020 10:57

@SS123456 I didn't ovulate until CD25 a couple of days ago but I do have 42 day cycles 😔 I was just getting bored with testing on ICs and then had a positive.
Fingers crossed for today for you

Juno231 · 27/05/2020 11:01

@lucyrp didn't realise you were trying to lose weight as well! Was super happy this morning as I weighed myself and have now lost over 7lbs since I started on the 20th of April. Let's keep this up! You've inspired me to use my lunch hour for a brisk walk xx

Vil10 · 27/05/2020 11:10

Tell you what girls I’m feeling very productive today, went for a long walk at 7:30, been back and had my morning decaf and weetabix, now weeding the garden, getting all the cobwebs off the garden lights, cleaning the bbq and making a tuna pasta and feta salad for tonight’s bbq tea! You really wouldn’t think I’m 23, how sad😂 thinking if I keep myself busy and active this TWW will fly by!!
