Let's all intro ourselves again...so people can use the top of the thread as a quick reference to where we are at and maybe find some cycle buddies - everyone welcome to join the madhouse of the June 2020 bus x

@franklydear I have two clear blues as well (with the weeks indicator) but will take them once I know and so i know the pregnancy is progressing well. Hope everything works out ok with the job situation

Ladies had a good chitchat with DH about trying this month a few days ago- and I've created a monster..I'm exhausted and not even into my fertile window yet (should be today) DH has been wanting to DTD 3/4 times a day the past 2 days. I'm gna sound crazy when I say every other day now 🤣😂

@mylittlebean2019 welcome to the bus! 😃 I'm using internet cheapies (IC) for ovulation and trying out SMEP too to catch. I know a few of us on here have CB digital tests

i personally can't justify spending on digital tests quite just yet so for the first few cycles I will use up my 30pack of ICs but will defo purchase Clear blue if I don't have a bfp by then. I tried bbt but got tired of it but many women find tracking very useful! Hope that helps x

Morning all! CD23 and still have a flashing smiley and negative on ICs last night and this morning. It’s definitely mocking me. Still not giving up until period arrives though!

@mylittlebean2019 I’m using Clear Blue advanced digital because it gives you your high estrogen/flashing smileys as well as your LG hormone/static smiley so it’s literally spelled out for you rather than agonising over the lines on a cheapie stick. I have however bought some ICs to test in the evening because using the CB twice a day is 💸! I know some ladies on here measure temperatures and cervical mucus but I have no idea about any of those 😳 there are also loads of apps like Fermometer people use too but again I haven’t used those. All this chat about beauticians is making me feel like an ogre and I rarely have any treatments other than my hair done anyway! I’m a DIY kinda girl 😂

@Skip86 @LittleRa I’m so pleased this is actually encouragement to hold off testing as I don’t want to be the first to crack!

Have any of you told anyone IRL that you’re TTC?

@mylittlebean2019 hello! It is my first cycle doing any tracking of any sort and I chose to buy the clear blue digital tests with the 4 day fertile window. You would need to buy the pack with 20 sticks I would say which is around £30 because it's your first cycle tracking so need the extra sticks to figure it out. I chose this option as it doesn't take me much to get stressed out or get obsessive over anything especially when its to do with TTC. You POAS with your first urine of the day and depending on your cycle you should start testing I think it's around a week before you guess you're going to ovulate. The instructions will tell you when to start testing based on your cycle length. I had 3/4 days of blank circles which means low fertility then I had 3 days of flashing smiley which means high fertility and then I got my peak smiley face which means I'm ovulating in the next 24-48 hours and then you aren't able to test again that cycle as the smiley stays on the screen for 48 hours which for me was good because I'd just keep testing and being obsessive 🙈sorry for the essay but thought I'd share my experience. I'm currently 2dpo so will wait and see how well they've served me! I would probably try another cycle just using these before I looked at ICs. I do also take my BBT as its fairly easy and something to back up my CB tests x

Oh and speaking of beauty treatments the only thing I am really missing is my hairdresser! I cracked yesterday and used a box dye to do my roots as they looked awful. I’ve done an ok job but no doubt my hairdresser will tell me off 😂😂

@SmileyT I am hoping for much less confusion this month... I'm using cheapy OPKs alongside my CB so I can see some progression. Totally stark white at the moment though, which is to be expected as I was too impatient to start on CD19 like Femometer recommended 😅

I'm from Norfolk, but lived and worked in London for quite some time. Worked in Islington and lived in Kendal Green. I'm a property lawyer, so my work stability is a bit up and down right now... I'm incredibly busy, but it just doesn't feel sustainable right now. I am lucky though, in that I practice a very specific area of property law, and we don't have any other experts in it in the team 🤞

@Minster2012 as the other ladies have said, what a story and what a woman! I know my circumstances are different, but I got bored of the CB taunting flashing smiley of hell after day 13...I'm not cracking them out for a while yet, too pricey!

@lucyrp I used to live in my eyelash extensions, then when I had to have a break, my beautician recommended using olive oil to help them recover. My lashes have grown back as long as my extensions and almost as thick!

TMI Just been to the loo and got like a brown tinge on the paper when I wiped and I'm only 2dpo 😭 what is happening

@LV1987 I literally love mine, I look horrendous without them, my lashes didn't used to be so good but they're just so straight and sparse now I can't wait to get them back! Il try that out thanks! What did you do with it just brush it onto them with a spoolie ??

@SmileyT @33Carr Femometer sent me a message this morning that ovulation is approaching! I'm expecting it Thurs/Fri and OPKs are still pretty blank so let's see! Started DTD every other day on Sun so today is due another round.

I'm feeling oddly calm about it all this time, I guess I'm more conscious that even if I never catch a peak I'm covered from a DTD point of view?

@Mococo1 I'm East London but buying a house in SW so will be a bit closer to you!

@lucyrp not gonna lie, I had to Google what a spoolie was 😳 I did have some concerns that it was going to bring up something naughty 😂 but yes, brush it on with one of those. I did it every evening once my mascara was off for the day. I'm now trying castor oil on my brows in the hope they'll grow back during Lockdown (I'm 33 so suffer with a "90s Brow" 😂)

@slimshadycousin I've told a few people we will now 'think about it' 'maybe in a few months since my MC which was 7 weeks ago

however I've also used the following excuses

• that I'm waiting for my body to resettle (also true)
• Im going to track 6 months of cycles due to coming off the pill beforehand

-maybe il try in september

• generally very vague in answering like thinking about it now but let's see after everything is back to normal society wise

My sisters know I'm trying (mainly for tips and support) but won't ask me any questions.

Also been vague with both our mothers before we try..but the truth is I'm going all in TTC cycle 1 🤣 so yes and also given plenty of excuses so no ones on our backs!

@lucyrp @lv1987 I bought one of those at home perm kits and they worked a charm! I also used an eyelash growth serum and that worked really well on my lashes but cba to do it everyday x

@LV1987 haha I wrote it and thought maybe not everyone knows them by that name so thought I may confuse you 😂😂 I'm only 22 but also suffered with the 90s brows somehow 😂 or as I'd like to call them "sperm brows" so I actually had mine micro bladed about 18 months ago. Best thing I ever did 🙌🏼

@lucyrp I really want mine done! But my eyebrows aren't so bad anyway..what's the healing like?

also can I get this done whilst pregnant lol..l? hoping to have a bfp by the time lockdown is over and salons re open lol! I was kicking myself I should have got it done prior to lockdown and the healing would have been at home lol

@lucyrp sperm brows 😂😂 mine were more like a dashed line! They've regrown quite a bit, but I used to have this glorious, thick monobrow that I could have done anything with, and I just can't get it back! Never thought I would be wishing my monobrow back aaaaaah

@Mococo1 its not bad at all! I've had it done and had a top up so technically twice. I did numb my brows with numbing cream before hand because otherwise it can be quite sore. It normally takes like a week or so I think to heal but I didn't really notice it too much. They go scabby a few days afterwards but don't scratch them! And then you think they've disappeared but a few days later they come back. Yeah I don't see why you couldn't have them done when pregnant as its just a scalpol and some ink ? I love mine don't know how I'd live without them. Always used to wear a full face of makeup up because I didn't like my brows ajs I couldn't really do my brows without doing foundation etc but since I've had them micro bladed and I have lash extensions I hardly wear make up unless I go out for food, shopping or for date night etc x

@juno321 I'm due to ovulate tomorrow apparently but OPKs are still pretty blank! As you said though we are DTD pretty often so hopefully will still catch it either way! Fingers crossed! I'm going through waves of being really relaxed and calm about it but then totally do a 180 and just can't cope with how little control I have!!

@LV1987 i trusted my mum to do my brows not long after I had DS 5 years ago as she is a hairdresser and had done hair and beauty in college but I didn't like them so then plucked them some more and ended in sperm brows😂 my eyebrows were like that! So thick and fluffy and I'd kill for them now as I really like the new brow lamination trend but I can't have it because I have hardly any brow hairs 😂😫

@Mococo1 it sounds like you get asked when you’re having a baby all the time already 😂 I have told my mum and one friend and that’s it. We have been together for eight years so we get a lot of questions and I do the same as you and make excuses so people drop it!

@Skip86 what a lovely thing to say about being so invested in everyone else, I think it’s fair we are all so invested in each other. So we’ve got you, @LittleRa & @slimshadyscousin that are all beginning of June is that right? (True June bus bitches?)

Then maybe @watermelonwizard, @SmileyT around CD10 currently. Wow @SmileyT £400 saving in lockdown JAYSUS we are saving some from not having our cleaner (who has now said she’s stopping unfortunately) & not doing DSs classes & pub etc but not that much! Plus our food bill is through the roof Cos I’m shielding & DH hasn’t the time to go so online shopping we can only really get branded stuff & no offers 🙄but I’ve cancelled my gym doing online classes instead

Then welcome @mylittlebean2019, @DontGoJasonWaterfalls, @MrsDubz I know what you mean about mustering with DS but for us it’s more when it hits the week & DH is mega stresses over Work & after 13 hour days he sees DS, then all he wants to do is sit down & watch mindless tv for an hour then sleep 🙄

@Mylittlebean2019 I am also using clear blue digital in the morning & internet cheapies but like @Bear127 we will be Riding this bus to the bitter end with the joker faces of the clear blue smiling flashing faces mocking us as I’m in CD23 & day 10 flashing smile now so I think I’m just going to hand wait to see if AF arrives randomly 🙄

Oh and on the hairdressing front I went electric purple & pink in March so my thick hair has been gradually losing that into unicorn colours (which has looked lovely) EXCEPT) massive awful dark blonde roots urgh

@slimshadyscousin..all the time! Even DH is getting it too from all corners and since our MC I feel like he gets in a bad mood when anyone asks us about when we plan to have little ones..but I'm just so used to saying we will try next year I almost believe it!

@mylittlebean2019 I recommend the CB fertility monitor but it’s about £80 so quite expensive but it logs everything for you so don’t need any other apps etc x

@notyetamumbuttrying we got married in June and then had to honeymoon in November to fit around everyone else's weddings, didn't realise after going to Mexico you have to wait to TTC due to Zika virus 😤 was absolutely worth it though! We are also the last, my husband is ex navy so we moved away and our friendship group is a little older than us. We've been together the longest but last to get married and have kids!
