@blodyn91 haha I thought this straight away! Cute lil valentines babies. So much for me not getting obsessed or over thinking this month 😂😅

@Noble89 😂😂 the psycho ways are hard to leave behind 😅 I'm ready and waiting with my cheapy pregnancy tests haha. I'm CD 17 and had my static smiley on CB on Friday. It caught me off guard as went straight from blanks to the static, so we didn't manage to DTD (conscious of using this now haha) as much as I would have liked but we'll see how we get on. Fingers crossed yours is soon, ready to join in with the TWW psycho tendencies ✌🏼 Haha yesss to the bed restraints, might look into those myself 👀

Ltay2 · 25/05/2020 10:21

Well catching up on these 100 messages has kept me entertained whilst waiting for OH (agree the acronyms are weird!) we are back at urgent care this morning following a bit of soreness/bleeding 🙄 I have spent more time at hospitals in lockdown than I ever have before. But on the plus side it's made him take an extra week off work for recovery which aside from financial implications can only be a good thing!

I've made note of the tv recommendations too! Seen most of them already but definitely will be looking into the others. We are watching white lines at the moment too!

lucyrp · 25/05/2020 10:22

i would have been 9 weeks today if my CP had stuck ☹️☹️*@unluckyducky*

@Cocoblue22 i had 3 days of flashing smiley and then my static so i think i was pretty lucky compAred to others !

Bear127 · 25/05/2020 10:22

@Minster2012 any luck with the smileys? I’m still flashing 😩. I’m not fully giving up this month until the period arrives but feeling very disheartened.

lucyrp · 25/05/2020 10:23

@unluckyducky where abouts in wales are you from ?? did i miss you saying it yesterday ?!

notyetamumbuttrying · 25/05/2020 10:28

Aww that would be lovely @unluckyducky!! I'm in London so it's relaxed already but my parents live in Bucks and we don't have a car so we'd still need to travel by train to see them. I'd have to FaceTime them, not sure I could speak to my mum n not blurt it out lol!

Minster2012 · 25/05/2020 10:46

@Cocoblue22 I certainly didn’t worry that my friend would want to keep him but it could be a concern if we would have had to use a stranger which we were looking into. She has 2 children & they were flower girl & page boy at our wedding & very much is her family is complete which is how you are meant to be in U.K. surrogacy, for IVF clinics here her & her hubby had to pass counselling too & her kids knew mummy was growing a baby for us as my tummy is broken. We had a home birth at her house & her eldest who was 9 was the first to touch DS & pat him down with the midwife before he was passed to me fir skin to skin. It was magical. Her & her hubs are his “oddparents” & yes they are a big fixture in his life

@Bear127 day 9 flashing smiles for me here so I kinda think my egg is ripe but not popping out 🙄

lucyrp · 25/05/2020 11:10

@Minster2012 that's such a lovely story! Heart warming 💓

SmileyT · 25/05/2020 11:12

@Skip86 When I woke up this morning to temp, I was wondering where your message was 🤣 Getting warmer is definitely a thing, could be a sign that more progesterone is being released which happens in early pg 🙌🏾 and I've actually been thinking of other acronyms but actually everything sounds lame.

@lucyrp normally temp drops morning of ovulation but then should rise tomorrow so I think yours is looking good 😊

@Cocoblue22 thanks for all the suggestions added to my list, I've seen working moms and line of duty but added the rest 👌🏾

@notyetamumbuttrying I didn't think my OH would like working moms but he got hooked so quick, we both found it hilarious x

@Vil10 well done you fertile bitch - this really amused me this morning 😂

@popcorndiva come join us 👋 if your Luteal phase isn't short I would try not to worry about your hormones, I think RHR is affected by loads of things, do you temp?

@Minster2012 honestly i find you so bloody interesting (hope that doesn't sound patronising) I didn't know any of that about surrogacy, I knew it was expensive but assumed the court date would be like 2 weeks after birth like you see in US tv shows. With everything you've been through you know that you are not just a statistic and there is always hope that you could get preggers naturally, if you don't you'll have a bloody good time trying and then explore your other options again but you've proven that no door is ever closed for you. Ahh and just read about the 'odd parents' that actually gave me goosebumps 😭 x

Welcome back @J0DI3 what car did you get? OH keeps trying to buy a car but I think we should wait until I'm pregnant as being in London we don't really need one at the moment but I love looking around for them. Ahh wouldn't it be perfect if you had a BFP for anniversary 🙌🏾 x

@blodyn91 I checked last month before my period started that if it had started the day I thought it would my due date would be 21.02.21 and convinced myself I'd be happier getting preg in June rather than May - little things we do to make ourselves feel better 🤣

Day 2 of blank ⭕️ and I'm now going to drag myself out of bed and off for a walk before DP wakes up, weighed myself yesterday and I'm actually the heaviest I've been in my life so it's kickstarted my desire to get a little healthier before I hopefully get pregnant.

Cocoblue22 · 25/05/2020 11:13

@Minster2012 that does sound lovely and I can imagine the bond between your two families is very special. It’s lovely that she could do that for you you both sound like very special and strong ladies I’m crossing everything that you get your BFP x

Franklydear · 25/05/2020 11:15

Morning ladies, my dh also knows I spend my life in Mumsnet, he ask about the acronym, so I now call him darling husband, which he hates...

notyetamumbuttrying · 25/05/2020 11:16

Good to know @SmileyT and enjoy your walk. We're going on one too but it's only to the park to sit down all afternoon lol! I'm the heaviest I've ever been too and still can't seem to sort my eating out. I blame lockdown!

Vil10 · 25/05/2020 11:21

@Minster2012 I’ve been reading your messages on this thread and you amaze me!! Amazing woman!!
@SmileyT glad it gave you a laugh this morning!
So I have a q for you all, I think I’m about 2dpo today, used an opk yesterday and faint line so that clarified for me that my ovulation was 22nd/23rd (got my peak on 23rd) but this morning I seem to have a bit of ewcm still?? I’ve googled it, like you do, and it’s saying “This happens because hormones, including estrogen and progesterone, continue to rise after ovulation if an egg's been fertilized“, but I think that’s very hard to believe! So I’m just wondering if anyone else had experienced this??

Vil10 · 25/05/2020 11:23

Forgot to add that this morning it’s more clear white than fully clear like ewcm is, but it’s definitely a bit stretchy

Minster2012 · 25/05/2020 11:39

Awww thank you @SmileyT not patronising at all! Yes most ppl think that but no the U.K. system is awful the baby has to leave with the “genetic” parents on day 1 but you cant apply for the parental order to even start the paperwork until the baby is 6 weeks old to 6 months “just in case the birth mother does want to keep them” & then doing all reports & 3 court visits took us til he was 7 months old. The law is from 1974 🤷‍♀️It’s silly Cos we had to do wills for us all to say they would let our family adopt him & he didn’t have a claim on their estate things for that time it’s ridiculous but fascinating too!

We’ve just been on a lovely walk it’s 21 degrees it’s beautiful!

Ladies do you think I should keep on with the CB tests? Day 9 flashing smiles, CD22, no idea on my cycle as it’s the first ‘proper’ one since MMC & the IVF clinic have said my egg reserves are v low. The CB box says if you get 9 flashing smiles to stop testing as you are unlikely to see your peak. Should I stop?

lucyrp · 25/05/2020 11:45

@SmileyT so do we think ovulation was yesterday or today ??

@Vil10 "fertile bitch" made me cry tears of laughter literally 😂😂

@J0DI3 oooo I wanted to know what car you got too as I'm nosey😂 we recently bought a 1 series as I only had a mini before and I still have that but thought I needed a 5 door for two kids 🙈

@Minster2012 personally I would continue to test for probably 4/5 more days just to see what happened but that's just me I couldn't cope not testing and not knowing 🙈

notyetamumbuttrying · 25/05/2020 11:45

One more can't hurt right? @Minster2012 and I'm so glad all worked out to get your son. What an awesome friend you have!

RobinRose · 25/05/2020 12:08

Hello ladies, af got me today 😑 so I will be joining you from the may bus!

Skip86 · 25/05/2020 12:24

Can't believe I hadn't checked what my due date would be if we catch this month! So it's 8th Feb, which would be nice except that both of my babies were super prem so, maybe a Christmas baby?

@Minster2012 I'm so frustrated for you with those bloody flashing faces. Do you have many more CB sticks left? Could you perhaps just use ICs for the rest of this cycle to get a better idea for next time?
When you said you'd be perspiring all the time if you lived here I was honestly going to whinge about how it's actually really cold at the moment. But then you said 21 degrees is lovely... haha that's our maximums all this week and it's nearly winter 🤣 I find it SO cold! I go blue!!

@Franklydear ok I'm calling my hubby Darling Husband from now on too 😂

J0DI3 · 25/05/2020 12:25

@lucyrp @SmileyT it’s a Volkswagen Tiguan! It’s the most comfortable car I’ve ever driven and it’s huge! 😂 Trouble is we have a Dalmatian so having her and a baby in the future meant we would be in need for a bigger car at some point. Xx

Skip86 · 25/05/2020 12:28

@Vil10 ooh not sure about that CM, but I would say that it's definitely normal to have some variation of EWCM before and/or after ov.

@RobinRose hi 👋🏼 sorry about AF showing, so shitty, but we're a good bunch too so hoping June is the month for you! 💗

SmileyT · 25/05/2020 12:45

@notyetamumbuttrying do you have a garden? I've just got back from my walk and sent DP out to Tesco for some bbq stuff 😎

@Vil10 if your peak was on the 23rd I would've thought your ovulation would be on 24th which would make sense if you still had a bit of EWCM the morning after but did you have other signs ovulation was earlier? I never notice much EWCM so I'm not sure x

@Minster2012 honestly it's all fascinating but do tell us to shut up if you get sick of being quizzed 🙈, personally I'd carry on testing out of curiosity because you don't know your cycle length it might just be you have longer cycles and should've started later but that could be expensive and frustrating.

@lucyrp based on temps I'd say ovulation today, especially if you see a big temp rise tomorrow. Ooh I love a 1 series, @J0DI3 OH would love a tiguan but I like a smaller car, only going to be 3 of us hopefully, no need for a family wagon just yet 🤣

@RobinRose sorry you find yourself over here but hopefully this will be your month and hopefully this bus will give you some laughs along the way x

lucyrp · 25/05/2020 12:51

@J0DI3 @SmileyT oooo very nice!!!
We only got my 1 series in January and its big compared to my mini 😂

Okays so ovulation day today 💪🏼😂

notyetamumbuttrying · 25/05/2020 12:52

Sadly not @SmileyT so we're sat in Greenwich park with a picnic and some tinnies lol! Enjoy the bbq.
Sorry she got you @RobinRose but welcome! You'll have fun here too 😁
@Skip86 and @Franklydear I called him darling husband and he said it was ok as I call him worse usually lol!
