@KRK05 Haha get those cheap pregnancy tests readdyyy, early testing is just around the corner 😂 just been reading your other messages, the IC tests sound confusing but now I'm also wondering whether I should also be doing this to double check? Haha.

I'm jealous of you guys up to it a few times a day 😂 OH really isn't a big fan of just DTD purely just to try for a baby, I think it turns him off a bit 🙄 so I try not to make it obvious I'm upping my game around OV time 😂 could be a long few months for me 😩

Nice to see so many Northern girls on here! I'm actually originally from Norfolk but OH is from here so I moved up after uni ☺️

@OnNaturesCourse Well OH commented today saying I'm all hormonal and moody 🤣 meant to be 1dpo so I agree with you

@Justkeepswimming91 I came off the pill in April, had the withdrawl bleed pretty much a day or two later then a proper period 3 weeks after that finished, so cycle of 29days. I was on microgynon, and only took it for two straight months then always had a week break.

So I remembered that I bought some one step ovulation tests months ago when I first joined MN and became obsessed with all things TTC.

I've been using CB digital for the first time this month and got a static smiley on Friday. However I've just done one of the one step tests out of curiosity and the second line looks really faint, would you expect it to look like that 2 days after a static/peak?

Wish I remembered I had these when I started testing with CB 🙄😂 x

Yeah it puts my OH off a bit too - before TTC our sex life was really good! Mostly every day - at least every other day just naturally but now we know we 'should' be it makes it feel forced somehow? So weird!

Argh hoping I've not missed my LH surge on the sticks! I have no idea if I've ovulated or if I'm already in the TWW! Xx

That's like my Dh @KateColx gets tired fast lol! As we're onto cycle 9 now I can say look we need to do it more so come on lol! I think it's working, we've done it twice now and think I'll ov Tuesday unless the Angus makes it later.

@KateColx yesss when I've had a peak test the day after is usually still a bit dark but then by the second day it's back to a v faint line like yours there!

Good to hear you had no trouble conceiving with early ovulation @unluckyducky! Do you still ovulate early? I think we spoke about this before but can't remember if u said u still ov early or not. I'm usually day 10 so looks like I'll be getting a girl if the science is right! I'd love a girl too 😊

@Katao I find them fascinating too, was gonna give it a go but it's so true that its just a 50/50 chance cause have u seen the success stories of SMEP? So many girls born but that's DTD 3 days at ovulation...

@KateColx No dont do them it's just unnecessary stress 😂 just keeping DTD for the next few days & dont let my wobble make u start overthinking 😂

@unluckyducky Well yeah that does make sense but then on shettles method it says not to DTD at time of ovulation for a girl. It's all so fascinating I researched it loads 😂😂 my friend has 2 & both times only DTD on day of ovulation & has 2 girls (ovulation obviously confirmed with OPK & BBT) definitely 50/50 get what u get, I believe it probably gives u a better chance its just not 100%. Its fun to try though, I was going to but then OPKs took over so u start just DTD constant 🙈

Ah gotcha @unluckyducky I'm only guessing I'll ov Tuesday based on last month but been taking Angus castus to see if that makes me ov later so if it does and we don't do it again I could be in with a shot! Although the thought of not doing it on day ov is too much for me lol! I'll just feel like we've missed our chance altogether! So what cd do you usually ov? Sorry, just very intrigued after reading so much negativity online about early ovulation and immature eggs etc.

@KRK05 @KateColx i agree i wouldn't do sticks aswell because it would over stress me out 🙈🙈

Those of you that do use the CB OPK, what benefits do they have over the IC ones? I'm undecided whether to try them when we can get back to TTC. They are so expensive though compared to IC's so don't want to pay unnecessarily if I can basically get the same from the IC's I already have?

Did someone further up saying that normal people is a good way to get your OH in a fruity mood? We’ve been DTD a lot in fertile window but he’s been working all weekend so feeling a bit sluggish and tired (boring)

@lucyrp I have to say I am glad I've done it cause I wouldve thought ov has passed, whereas it hasnt but with CB wouldnt have know that 🙈 but definitely wouldnt subject anybody else to the stress 😂 I say stress (it is) but it's good to know what my bodys doing tbh & to see how it is over the next few days.

@Ltay2 Personally & it is just my first month, I've got plenty sticks left so will use again next month but I think il stick with my cheapy IC (if I keep having unsuccessful months) the CB is great cause it takes the guesswork out but realistically I couldve stopped DTD now without even realising I haven't ov yet, only my IC were able to determine that. From what I've read online anyway it sounds like my body has tried to ov but been unsuccessful hence why a second peak 48 hours after. With CB I wouldve been totally unaware. (I do like the static smiley on that though) but once u get that that's it over basically for that month. IC can continue to use.

One of my apps is saying my ovulation day was yesterday and one is saying today, so DTD again today definitely won’t hurt

@KRK05 Ah ok, that makes sense. I think I will stick with the cheapies then. I've been using them for so long now I know what I'm looking at and with them being so cheap I don't mind continuing testing for a few days after peak just to check. I'm going to try to get the hang of BBT tracking again too whilst the pressure is off these next couple of cycles but I always seem to wake up at 3/4am and forget then don't have long enough asleep to test again later 🤦🏼‍♀️

Since Im. ot tracking ovulation other than an app, I am definitely going to keep up DTD over this 2WW just incase I have late ovulation! Also as some of you have early ovulation, we also started DTD straight after AF, so basically its 3 weeks of FW in my head 🤣🤞

@Ltay2 @KRK05 personally i think i prefer the CB i would be too obsessive with ICs! and we don't plan to have sex just for ov we're sexually active all the time anyway so makes no odds to me i just mKe sure i DTD for the week when i get the flashing and statics

@Ltay2 I chose CB over ICs because they show when your estrogen rises before ovulating so it definitely helps me knowing when the best times to have sex are, even before ovulation! I was on the pill for 11 years and only came off at the start of this year, I’m only on my 4th cycle since coming off (2nd cycle actually TTC) and I had no idea what my regular cycle would be so the more information about it the better! I’ve bought some ICs so I can do more tests in the evening and not worry about burning through the CB sticks because they are £££ compared to others. I suppose it takes the guess work out of trying to decipher faint lines on ICs too 😊
