SmileyT · 21/05/2020 19:55

I'm 31 TTC #1 after a MC in March this year, AF has just finished and I'm on CD6 and all ready to go for my 2nd full cycle.

This month I will be tracking with opks, CB connected, BBT and following SMEP plan.

@elliew818 I don’t know much about the OPKs but I’d agree with @HopeForRainbowbaby. More DTD for luck can’t hurt though 😋

And thanks @HopeForRainbowbaby, that sounds good enough to me. I like the things that can be easily passed as normal day to day, instead of adding to my list of pills 🙊 xx

VP91x · 05/06/2020 12:15

@peonyrose87 hey, sorry to hear you're having a down week. Completely normal considering, I hope you can treat yourself to something nice? Don't stress over the days. Northleigh you'd start on CD8 anyway and so it won't make too much difference! You've got this ❤️

@chloedancer897 that's so frustrating hopefully the reschedule you back in soon. But yay to static smiley. Enjoy DTD I really hope it's a lucky month x

@elliew818 have you tested today with an OPK again? What did it look like? I would have said Tuesday too but definitely dtd again to cover yourself.

@Chickoletta I like your thinking 😂

peonyrose87 · 05/06/2020 13:58

@VP91x thank you! We got a nice take away last night and my partner told me to stay in bed this morning and watch Netflix, and brought me lots of food and snacks. It's been nice and just what I needed! 🤞🏻 starting today will be ok!

Renna · 05/06/2020 14:00

Ladies who get ovualtion pain... what does it feel like ? X x I got my peak yday and temps previously indicate I ovulate day after I get first peak reading and got some pains today but wondered what others experience these feel like ? Xx

@Hayleylou89 what days did you DTD last cycle around your ovualtion ? :)
I'm on CD15 today . So far weve DTD on CD8 CD10 CD12 and CD14. Plan on doing it again tonight and then not sure over the weekend to just see when it takes our fancy or go for it both days ... or at least deffo make sure we DTD tomorrow .. xx

VP91x · 05/06/2020 14:04

@Renna I got like a stitch pain on my lower right side like by my ovaries. It came and went throughout the day.

@peonyrose87 aw that sounds lovely!! Netflix and a morning in bed, dreamy. You deserve it. Xx

elliew818 · 05/06/2020 14:49

@VP91x I just did an OPK and was totally negative so who knows what’s going on! Probably better this way because kind of had my hopes up for this month because we’d done everything right but this makes me think maybe my body isn’t back to normal still so won’t be as disappointed if/ when AF comes.
@Chickoletta can I assume you have a child that likes paw patrol?
@Renna had really bad ovulation pain this month - slightly period-like cramping but also felt like someone had repeatedly kicked me in the vagina, felt tender sitting on our wooden floors!

VP91x · 05/06/2020 15:03

@elliew818 ahh, then go with Tuesday for sure!! Sometimes weird things happen with CM but great that you've had your positive already xx

@Chickoletta omg I was going to say the same as @elliew818 said about your name 😂 that chicken makes me laugh so much.

HE88 · 05/06/2020 15:12

@chloedancer897 hi and welcome to the thread sorry you find yourself hear and about you loss. I know how it feels having a lengthy ttc journey I had been ttc #2 just over 2 years then I fell I was over the moon that sadly had a mmc at 10 weeks. Sending lots of baby dust your way that this is your month. Xx

@Bellabubble oh that's a shame about hubbies nosebleeds fingers crossed they stop soon. Xx

@Dipsy77 sorry it was a bfn this morning keeping my fingers crossed for you. Xx

HE88 · 05/06/2020 15:25

@Renna my ovulation pains can feel like a stitch or a sharp shooting pain and they can either be very mild or extreme. I always notice it on my right side however this cycle its all on my left side which is really unusual for me. Xx

2020wish · 05/06/2020 15:26

@Renna I usually get stitch type pain on what I side I’m ovulating from that month

Started dieting this week ladies. Figured it might help while ttc. Taking 3 meal replacements a day plus a low carb meal and about 2-3 litres of water a day. Lost 4lb in two days lol of course I will stop if I get a BFP and just eat healthy. Anyone else trying to shift the weight to aid ttc?

Also is anyone going to try aspirin this month? I’m going to start taking it after I ovulate and see if it makes a difference

Renna · 05/06/2020 15:37

Thanks ladies today is ovualtion day for me and I've had left sided lower abdo pain I wouldnt say it was sharp was more like dull achey crampy stabby kinda feeling so dunno if it is ocualjon pain or not it's kinda of subsiding now lasted a few hours like intensely. Xx

Chickoletta · 05/06/2020 15:52

Hi,
Yes, I am very much named after the hilarious Paw Patrol chicken. She makes that show bearable for me! My kids’ headmistress is also a dead ringer for Mayor Goodway so that always makes me laugh too.

I have just joined from the May group and caught up on the news here. I had a MMC of twins at 11 weeks in April and this is our first cycle of TTC since. I am now in the TWW - CD15. Had a positive OPK test on Tuesday. Looking forward to us all sharing good news soon, fingers crossed.

We have used Preseed this time for the first time. Not keen on it - I think it has a strange smell, but worth a try.

Probably a bit late to start on the plum/pomegranate juice for me this month but I’ve got a bottle of plum gin on the shelf...!

Bellabubble · 05/06/2020 15:53

@VP91x ahh no, fingers crossed for a shorter cycle!! Waiting for ovulation is almost as frustrating as the tww after I find! The saving grace with ovulation is that any symptoms you get can’t be confused with AF at least!! I’m currently taking coQ10 now to help with egg quality (apparently it takes 90days for an egg to mature, so I think my last 3 eggs would have been ones that were forming whilst I was pg/mc so I wonder if that has maybe stopped me falling pg on my last few cycles, as well as being 36) and I have calc fluor to help me out this tww too!! My bbt is higher than normal at the mo though as the new house is like a sauna!! It gets sooooo hot - my parents house was like a fridge, now I wake up baking lol! I said to oh that it’s a sign I’m going ttc crazy as I thought, I hooe this doesn’t mess up my bbt app 😂

@MichT4 thank you - it’s so nice to have our own space now, having been at my parents for so long! Dtd is going to be so mich more relaxed now!!

@he88 thank you! He usually has a bad stint May-June time then it seems to disappear, so hopefully it will go soon bless him!

Bellabubble · 05/06/2020 15:54

@Renna I often get ovulation pain - more stab like, although it can at times make me catch my breath a bit!

VP91x · 05/06/2020 16:12

@Chickoletta I love that you're named after the chicken. Goodway is a funny character too. My little girl is OBSESSED. Eek, yay that you got your peak and now in TWW. Fingers crossed for you. How have you been feeling?

@elliew818 yeah, waiting for ovulation is such a snoozefest, but at least you're right you can't symptom spot. Ooh, I never knew that's how long it takes an egg to mature. So interesting. I'm sure as long as you still get a rise post Ov it should be OK!

I've ordered Calc too to take for the TWW.

@2020wish are you doing Exante by any chance? Xx

VP91x · 05/06/2020 16:13

Sorry @Bellabubble that message was meant to be for you where I tagged Ellie above! X

2020wish · 05/06/2020 16:33

@VP91x yes exante lol how did u know. I don’t it before after I had my daughter and lost 7 stone but sadly I’ve put 4 stone back on in last three years so trying to get that off and lock down isn’t helping

VP91x · 05/06/2020 16:38

@2020wish it sounded like it! I done it before for 2 months and then went completely off the bandwagon. 7 stone on it, wow!! It is hard to stay on plan with it. I still have a box of the shakes actually xx

VP91x · 05/06/2020 16:49

Have any of you ladies tried Evening Primrose Oil tablets for CM also? Xx

2020wish · 05/06/2020 17:00

@VP91x it’s actually not
To hard just boring and it’s more will power trying not to reach for the bad food. The shakes fill you up. I’m 13stone (well in the 12s now ) and I’m only 5.2ft so I need to be around 9.7st which is what I was. Once I became a nurse and them
Lockdown my diet and exercise completely went out the window so thought I’d do this to give myself a kick start. I remember last time it altered my taste buds and meant be hate the taste of salt and fat in bad foods and I’m trying to get to that point again haha

Haven’t tried the evening primrose oil myself just doing the grapefruit juice

Dipsy77 · 05/06/2020 17:06

If anyone is thinking of buying a new Ava and not one froM eBay I can send you a code for £20 off if it helps 🙂

VP91x · 05/06/2020 17:14

@2020wish ah that's really good! You'll do it again. I guess you could still incorporate it in as a breakfast shake or lunch shake if you got your BfP.

I'm just over 5ft,definitely need to shift this weight too.

Might give the EPO ago too. I have the GF juice now. Its so yum. Xx

2020wish · 05/06/2020 17:28

@VP91x what does the EPO do?

Bellabubble · 05/06/2020 17:32

@VP91x remember when I said mine shoots up super quick and goes back just as quick - here is todays cheapy opk - literally from as low as it was yesterday to this one today!!

VP91x · 05/06/2020 17:41

@Bellabubble it's crazy how it leaps isn't it!? Yay for your peak though!! Enjoy all the DTD 💦😅

@2020wish meant to increase CM too apparently. You stop taking it once you ovulate but not sure if I am too late in cycle to give it a go going to google a bit more xx
