SmileyT · 21/05/2020 19:55

I'm 31 TTC #1 after a MC in March this year, AF has just finished and I'm on CD6 and all ready to go for my 2nd full cycle.

This month I will be tracking with opks, CB connected, BBT and following SMEP plan.

Not a clue with my LP. My average since MC has been 6 days. Last month it was 5! So I'm absolutely clueless. Just have to let it be what it will be.

Pre MC I was a 28 day regular as clockwork, but got pregnant dtd only on cd18. So at a rough guess my LP was about 10 days.

Hayleylou89 · 28/05/2020 07:35

Hey @Niisa Thank u and welcome back!! 6 weeks an no dtd thats good going... me and the hubby have said none of that for 9 months now 🤦🏽‍♀️ will have to resort to other things as we are paranoid something will happen and its just not worth it to us xx especially as we got no real answers as to what happened so were doing all we can this time to be extra careful xx good luck this cycle lovely 😘

WellHurrahAndHuzzah · 28/05/2020 08:43

@Jazper I know exactly what you mean, all best laid plans and all that Wink

Sounds like you've got lots to keep you occupied!! I'm still pretty busy working full time partly from home, and we're renovating the garden. I'm trying to stay healthy and strong by running, walking, cycling and yoga.

These threads seem to move really quickly, I feel bad that I can't keep up with everyone!!

WellHurrahAndHuzzah · 28/05/2020 08:44

Welcome back @Niisa Smile

Hallo ladies ,
I just wanted to share something. I was reading online that only 1% of women have multiple miscarriages in a row. You can imagine it doesn't make me feel very hopeful. But I know of enough cases around that this 1% is questionable( and also many successful stories after). And today in my research to calm my thoughts I found this:

I have had two early miscarriages. Should I have special testing?
A: Since most early miscarriages are caused by problems specific to that fertilized egg, and miscarriage overall is relatively common, most experts do not recommend special testing until you have had three early miscarriages (or two miscarriages in women 40 years and older). At that point it is termed "recurrent" miscarriage and further testing may be needed. Studies have shown that even after a woman has experienced three consecutive miscarriages, her chance of the next pregnancy being normal is still about 70%. All women who have a pregnancy loss later in pregnancy should have further testing.

I hope that info helps someone in their journey too:D
Hoping for many healthy pregnancies in this chat group soon :*

Niisa · 28/05/2020 12:01

@SmileyT hahaha after last months sad attempts of OPK testing for 19 days straight and not getting a single smiley face and the previous month was a smiley face pretty much every day, I can’t be asked with them this time around 😂 How have you been??

@Hayleylou89 better to be safe than sorry I know! I’m sooo happy for you gurl you don’t even understand! So glad you’re one of the few to get their BFPs especially soon after your meeting! Wishing you a healthy, successful pregnancy & a swift, smooth delivery - you got this!

@WellHurrahAndHuzzah thanks hun! How’s it going for you?

VP91x · 28/05/2020 12:22

@Ejb86 eek! I'm not sure how I feel about this 😂 so nervous!!

Saim86 · 28/05/2020 13:12

@vp91 @Ejb86 Good luck for your testing tomorrow sending you lots of baby dust xx

Have been reading all the stories into opk which are the best brands ?? It does it not matter at all

HopeForRainbowbaby · 28/05/2020 13:34

@VP91x @Ejb86

Good luck tomorrow ! Fingers crossed Daffodil

Ejb86 · 28/05/2020 14:27

Thank you @HopeForRainbowbaby and @saim86

@VP91x I'm not sure either. I really dont want to get my hopes up, but know that actually, they already are!

elliew818 · 28/05/2020 15:01

Good luck tomorrow for those testing!
Sorry to hear about your loss @HopeForRainbowbaby and thanks for the information.
@Hayleylou89 I don’t blame you for not wanting to DTD, my DH was so weird about it when I was pregnant but his hormones got the better of him after the 12 week scan when I was pregnant with our DS and we didn’t have any issues.

VP91x · 28/05/2020 15:05

Thank you @Saim86❤️ I used the femometer ones this month purely because I was using the app but they seem to work great and are quite popular. I'd recommend them! Xx

@Ejb86 my hopes are SO high 😩 I've been weighing up whether to use a FRER or CB early detection. All have pros and cons. But, will almost certainly use the FRER!

Ejb86 · 28/05/2020 15:16

I now have 4 frers, so I'm not so bothered about wasting them! I've just taken everything upstairs, took a cheapie and a frer to have a go tomorrow morning at 9dpo!

Ejb86 · 28/05/2020 15:17

@VP91x forgot again! I get so engrossed in writing my reply.

VP91x · 28/05/2020 15:26

@Ejb86 did you get them off Amazon too? Fingers crossed for you too!!

Ejb86 · 28/05/2020 15:35

@VP91x I hope we've both been lucky. Have you researched what your EDD would be? With my cycles being so irregular it is hard to work mine out.

Saim86 · 28/05/2020 15:35

@vp91 where did you purchase them from and do you start testing from the last day of your period ?? I’ve never used them before

Ejb86 · 28/05/2020 15:35

@VP91x yeah. I love a prime delivery!

VP91x · 28/05/2020 15:42

@Saim86 sorry should have said!! I got them from Amazon - they have 50 Ovulation tests for £9.99 or something. If you get the pack with 50 + 20 of their PG tests then its £14.99.

It's depending on your length of cycle but I started on CD8 because I wasn't sure what my cycle was going to be xx

@Ejb86 if I pop it into NHS website it says 06 Feb 21 but just basing that on having had a 31 day cycle last month. Obsessed with prime too 😂 xx

Hayleylou89 · 28/05/2020 16:09
